Got a call from this number. No message left.

I am elderly and live alone, Greener future are now using very distressing tactics of telling me that Marc has asked  to them to call me, Marc is my son. I asked caller named Paul to stop harassing me but again he mentioned my son by name and asked to talk to him, I was unsure if my son had indeed asked him to contact me as I could not understand how he knew my sons name as Marc has lived away from home for years,My son assures me he knows nothing of this company Paul continues to harass me and I have now disconnected my phone despite living alone.

Iv had several of these calls, however as I am from Glasgow,  I find your description of my accent offensive. What does where they come from have anything to do with it? I know how frustrating these calls are, but at the end of the day, they are only doing their job, they are told what to say and are under terrible pressure from horrid managers. I know this as many years ago I worked in a call centre.  Not one person wanted to be there but like everyone else, they have bills to pay families to support ect,  but as soon as something better comes along they're off. Call centres have the highest staff turn over I have ever seen.  You did get some nasty ones working there, but on the whole,  most of them were good people,  just trying to get by. Human beings.  Id rather that that, than my taxes paying them on the dole!

I have had 11 "Unavailable" calls  in the last 5 days,the last one of which I actually got to speak to the caller.  I managed to obtain the name "Greener Future of 130 Camberfly Road, Glasgow" before she rang off. probably realising that I was not interested in solar energy but wanted the details of the company.

received a call at 5.20 am. This is ridiculous. It makes you thing something is wrong. You daren't not anser in case something is wrong. How do we stop these nuisance calls?

Have you tried reading the rest of this thread? I took the trouble of doing so and using what I learnt from other repiles on this thread I called them after finding their withheld number here and told them I reported them to the ICO (even though I didn't)  and no more nightly calls from them, that was back in october.

Myhouse group - responsible for many of these calls. Glasgow call center is in Baillieston in the East End of Glasgow.  They are recruiting via Gumtree at the moment. Why not give them a call?

There Glasgow office is listed in 192.com. This would explain the Glasgow accents.

I have TPS and they still phone. Not only that but the number they give out was fake for getting back to them.
Location: Glasgow? (accent on phone).

They wanted to sell me windows. I got several blank calls with no one at the end of the phone line then finally windows. They said they didnt have a website lol (total fake!)

No wonder they give out fake data!

I was phoned last week Wednesday 16th July 2014 with a recorded message, and clicked 'yes' to be called. I was so fed up with these calls that I decided that I should talk to someone.  I was called back and when informed that it was the Windows Scrappage Scheme, I asked for the name and address of the company; I was informed that the company was called ‘Regional Scrappage’ and the address 106 Sauchiehall St Glasgow. I informed the lady that I was signed up to TPS and that I was contacting Trading Standards as I felt that after being called with recorded messages nearly every day for a week , I considered this to be harassment. The lady replied, “Good luck with that one!”

Got a call yesterday 28th July 2014 and was told that it was the 'Windows Scrappage Scheme' I answered enthusiastically, and asked for the company name, which was given as 'Greener Future'. I asked if this was through Government grants, and was told that the scheme was sponsored by the Glazing Federation. I  asked for the address and was told that it was Glasgow City centre. I asked for the phone No and was told that the caller did not have it as he was working from a computer. I then informed him that I had joined TPS and was treating this call as harassment, as I have been pestered consistently for months now, sometimes with recorded messages.

I suspect that it is the same company in both instances, And I am now informing Trading Standards and TPS. Whether the outcome will be to the advantage of the long suffering public as well as myself, remains to be seen.

Greener Future....I've had 10+ calls in 3 hours from this company. We are with the TPS but it appears to make no odds.

Interested to find this thread. I've been pestered by these calls for a long time.
Mostly automated calls and the occasional agent but it is relentless. So annoying as I feel powerless to do anything about it.
I've complained to TPS and Ofcom but not holding my breath.
Hopefully if enough people complain the message will get through.

Another gumtree advert shows the location as Springhill Parkway Ballieston which seems to be Glasgow Business Park. Not sure how many other offices are located here but weatherseal has an office which again fits with information above. Can't say if Greener Future, Energy Hyper Market http://www.energy-hypermarket.org/ Weatherseal work for each other.

Energy hypermarket do seem to be advertising for a lot of field sales jobs which wouldn't be surprising if Greener Future act as a lead generator.

I'm also fed up with this bunch of eejits.

I let them set up a visit to a fake address close to the one they told me I was living at, if you see what I mean. We are ex-directory so they do not know (actually, cannot know) where we live. Anne from Greener Futures called back and checked I would be and my wife would be there; and Emma from Weatherseal called to check I'd be in.

I wasn't in, obviously.

I got a call five minutes after the appointment from Kevin at Weatherseal accusing me of wasting folks' time by not being there for a meeting I'd agreed to. I was delighted to tell him exactly where to get off.

The only mistake I made was not arranging for the fake meeting to be next door, either to my house or office, so I could watch the fun. I'll do that next time.

In the meantime, I'll be calling this bunch of prats on the numbers you kind folks have given here every time we get an anonymous call from them; their latest scam is energy-saving boilers or some such nonsense.

Their call-back number currently starts "00 1" which is the international access and the code for the USA, so I suspect it's a completely made up number. It is possible to configure the Caller Line Identification (CLI) number in most modern telephone systems and this will let them control what number their call appears to originate from. Obviously with no scruples and ignoring the warnings on the system as you do the configuration you can make it show any callback number you want or indeed nothing at all.

Being ex-directory is unfortunately no defence against this nonsense; all they have to do is set their system to auto-dial out on a range of numbers regardless of being ex-directory and just keep going through them, again and again and again until someone gives in and answers. Yes, TPS and all the rest of them say they're not allowed to do this but "the rules" don't stop an unscrupulous besom (yup, that's you Anne at Greener Futures!) from doing it anyway especially when the regulators are utterly toothless.

I suggest we all call every Weatherseal number we can find every time we get this nonsense. To hide your own number for one call only, dial 141 first. To check that this works, dial your mobile from your landline; dial "141" then your own mobile number and it should show on yourmobile screen as "unknown number" or something similar. Remember to dial 141 each time you want to make an anonymous call - and I can't be sure this will work for every service from every provider so do this wee check first. Once proven, take your time and be careful with each call, but give 'em hell. I am...
