We got this call just now... asked for my father who died last week... Nice huh!? We've been on the TPS since it started - but anyway he hung up on me... don't think he liked my language....... :0)

Have had 4 missed calls from these ppl tried ringing back no answer so annoying hate these scams

Silent Call such a nuisance!

they just called me.i answered, but could hear no one.justn background noise.

States that my self and my car have been in a crash and that they are calling about the insurance?

Best thing is my cars sitting happily and im fine too

its all just a  scam

Rang me, i answered and all i got was a silent line for 3 seconds then they hung up.....Pointless!!!

They rang, but when I answered, they hung up. When I called them back I got a repeating tone, like a high pitched engaged signal. Any ideas who they are?

This caller asked for my son and questioned his car usage and insurance. I dialled him back but he continually hangs up.  Even my partner tried on his phone and is hung up on.  Very disturbing but I think he's a sad person with nothing better to do.

Telephoned me on 27th November 2008 and told they had details passed onto them about me having an accident in the last three years I said I haven't then they put the phone down.

Had a few calls from this number.  They start off by saying that they are calling regarding an accident form that I've filled out.

On the second call, I asked the girl as many probing questions as I could so that I could make a complaint against them.  She says that my details were passed to them because I'd got an insurance quote online and hadn't put a tick beside the box preventing the online company from passing them my details (rubbish).

Your name and contact details are sold to this company by the insurance quote company (they wouldn't say which one) if you are showing as having an accident or claim (in my case a windscreen).

Then they try and fleece your insurance company out of money for you having had an accident and they in turn will get their percentage of the money.

I've contacted OFCOM - they suggest that I register with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) but this won't matter - this Accident Assistance claim that I freely gave them my information (via the insurance company) therefore they aren't cold calling.  This explains why people with Ex Directory numbers are also being hounded in this manner.

Just had a call from this number and when I answered they knew who I was and knew that I had had a small car accident.  They wanted to see if there was anything they could do for me etc.

Offered to help me claim compensation from a very minor car accident in which the only damage was to an inicator lamp.  They have called four times.
I phoned and spoke to JOHN who was very polite and helpful and he will remove your name from the calling list.  They buy the list from a company called TRADING FLOOR who collate infromation from online or telephone surveys and sell the information to others.

Just got a call from these: SeeUs2save.com. As above saying they are an energy comparison service. Also gives assistaclaim as an e-mail address so they must be linked.

Just got a call,
heard a woman laughing a lot, then I said hello!?! she said she's from accident investigation ....something [the company name], and they are aware that I've had an accident in the last 3 years, and asked if that was is that correct? I said no she said ok thank you for you time, bye.

She had a thick Irish accent

Male caller, clearly on a power dialler in a busy sounding office/call centre asking for a Mr Welsh???? Not known at this address so hung up! Didnt state his business or explain his call. My number is issued by virgin media, previously to this it was with telewest blueyonder... on ething am sure is that i havent invired unsoilicited cold calling or shared my number outside of a strict circle of 'legitimate' users.

They called me the other day asking about a injury claim that occurred within the last three years.

I said I haven't had one, he just put the phone down then.

This number keeps calling my home number which is an ex directory and they just repeatedly hang up! I have tried calling them back as I know its a Liverpool number but it instantly disconnects. Who is it?
