We got a call from them tonight but luckily didn't answer the telephone.  Don't know how they got our number either.

I get calls like this all the time (01512553580 today) as I only have a mobile number and enter it regularly in to insurance searches etc.

I just never answer them unless I know who it is.

Only takes a minute of research to find out if it's important enough to call them back (or answer it next time).

Usually if it's important a message will be left anyway.

Same company called my old home number (parents address slightly different ending digits 3587. Constant please leave a message rubbish. Accident company of some sort.

Had call today, they stated I'd had an accident in my car,I said no so they inquired about another driver but when I said where was this accident and when they went off line?

yep have had a missed call from them on my landline today and when i call the number back the call hangs up as soon as it connects.

I have saved it on my phone with the name of 'Spam Hang up'

they phoned me today at 6pm. I didn't answer but tried to call them back. Who are they?

Rang my mobile today but I missed the call, no message left. If in doubt, never fill in the telephone number field of comparison sites etc., that's the only thing I've done wrong lately!

they rang me @ 19:20 today on my mobile i answered but it cut straight off, tried to ring back but no answer

Have recieved and missed several calls from this number and when i have called back all i get is an automated voice telling me 'the other number has cleared'!  This has not only happened today but on other occasions.  I wish that there was some way of blocking nuisance caller numbers from my service?  There should also be a law against cold calling!!!!!!!!

Called on mobile, said i had been in a minor car accident, news to me !!! I was told that a box had been ticked ok to call with info.

Recieved a call from this number. I heard nothing, and nobody spoke. I tired to return the call ' as I am expecting a call from someone whose number I don't know ' but there was no reply. THinking that it might have been this person I was expecting I tried ot look the number up online and found this page. Seems like they are still trying it.

Still active today 24th - hang up on answer, and when tried to call back, rings once and cuts off.

Called me on my mobile and said " Hello Mr **ns" (strange how they knew my name) I replied yes and they then said hello again and then hung up or lost connection!As i didnt recognise the telephone number i did not call them back, instead researched the number onlie and found this forum.
When will we ever be free of these a**holes. I will be reporting this to BT and Ofcom for what its worth, but doubt if anything will ever be done! Even though I am registered with TPS = telephone Preference Service, i still for some reason keep getting these unwanted calls every now and then?
To anyone who has the misfortune to be called by these idiotic timewasting pieces of *hit, dont bother to call them back, just report them to BT / ofcom and or your telephone service provider, also register your telephone numbers at http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/ to help stop unwanted calls.(for what its worth anyway)
Hopefully in time they will close the number down to stop this callus cold calling,that doesnt get them anywhere.... or if they call you, dont be polite once they say who they are, just tell them to **ck off..I know i will!

We keep getting calls from this number on one of our mobiles, the same thing happens, we say "hello?", they say "hello!", then the call disconnects. Cold calling should be against the law, it's an invasion of privacy!!!

As of yet, we have no idea who the company is. We are on the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) register at http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/what/ and it has certainly reduced the amount of calls we receive but not cut them out completely unfortunately.

Hi everyone,
This company is called Accident Assistance. I Have also been hounded with calls even though I'm registered with the TPS. They tried to claim they got my number from a recent accident I had been in, but I have never been in an accident! I managed to track down their direct number which is 0151 255 3590. I have just rang up and asked to speak to the managing director of the company as I was going to pursue an official complaint. The guy I spoke to said "I can take your number off the system straight away if you would like?". Give this a try, lets hope it will stop them calling!

who keeps calling us and why ? why can't call them back ?

Rang today but when I answered, they just hung up.

I'm ex-directory too ... they just called, got silence then they hung up on me.
