Just received a call from 'Peter McKenna' at Hannay, with the police/ambulance service magazine story. Must have done some research (LinkedIn?) as he knew when I'd joined the company, and the names of some colleagues. Claimed we'd supported the magazine with advertising in the past, and wanted to thank us, and get approval to renew.

Clever tactic of pretending we'd spoken before just after I joined, and acting as though we had an existing business relationship; doubtless trying to make me feel I'd just forgotten him in the new job whirlwind.

Turns out they've tried this before with our company. The magazine doesn't exist.

They're still at it, had a number of calls today, a chap called Mr McKenna. I rang him back and had a heart to heart with him which resulted in him getting all stroppy, telling me to f**k off and slamming the phone down. I really do hope these scumbags find themselves as the fresh meat on b-wing at their local HMP sometime soon.

Tried to trick us into thinking that we had booked an advert ... Very unprofessional.

Hannay Associates called today to confirm that their campaign (whatever that was?!) was now over after 5 months and were ringing to go ahead with the ad I placed.  what ad?  We had nothing to do with them and reserved nothing.  Glad other people have been called and found they are frauds.  Get your name on TAPA who will help.  Google it to find out what they do and you won't be inundated with bogus people any more.

Called our company thanking us for supporting their charity publication by agreeing to place an advert in a previous call two months ago!
I asked for proof and was told paperwork would be sent out that day. The next week I had several calls from them saying the printing deadline was today and could I pay the invoice. I told them that I have not even seen or provided any artwork, she sent me an email with a crudely adapted advert just taken from our website.
Then I had the 'accounts' department asking for £195 + VAT!

I have reported them to the fraudline and be aware of these dodgy tactics to get money for nothing.

We have had several phone calls today from Hannay Associates.  Claims we spoke to them about 5 months ago and agreed to advertise with them.  I said I didn't recall this could they email me  all the details.  She even said if costing was the issue they would reduce the price!!!!  Didn't receive any emails, however after another 2 phone calls she asked me to email them, this is when I looked at reviews.  Thankfully I did and will not entertain them now.

They are still at it they first called June 2014 I was taken in they had quite a phone trail - Hi i'm from the police retirement charity or some such story etc etc my colleague will call you shortly to discuss the space can we rely on your support.  I paid for 1/4 page got a crap proof by email - NEVER received a magazine despite several calls from them "the magazine is coming out" etc etc 3 times they dipped into my account the last 2 being without authorisation - more astonishingly NATWEST said they couldn't block it (do what!)  got 2 back but lost £210 - lesson learnt.  They only CALLED TODAY again claiming to be someone else it was MODE DESIGN last time.  I said to the lady bit of a coincidence don't you think - they were from Liverpool claiming to be publishing a charity magazine you're from the Wirral telling me you've only just raised enough revenue to publish so would I like to pay now.  I asked what the magazine was for was told its for the emergency services - is said what for - oh its in the pack.  Listen love youre not getting anymore money from me.  SCAM SCAM what a shame for the genuine charities.

Speak extremely quickly and try to bustle you into paying for an advert that you never asked for and that doesn't exist... When pressed for more information they offered to send an email explaining their scheme that never arrives...

Have taken several calls form this company several times a week from a woman called Hannah!! talking about the art work we submitted, and guess what when I said we weren't interested and the reason was down to her pestering nearly on a daily basis, yup she balled me out over the phone then slammed the phone down on me. MMmm very professional!

            Rang to speak to me, I wasn't in the office, She left message to say I had shown interest in "The rescue Magazine".
She then emailed me with the rates. On looking for the magazine on Google I saw this web site with All these warnings about their company. I then replied to her email declining their services.
Very shortly we had a phone call from them wanting to speak to me . I wasn't available and the call was taken by a colleague and was very offhand and narky.
Thanks to whocallsme, I was able to deal with these sharks
