Called with a very garbled message about a phone and internet survey. When I started asking questions they hung up! The annoying thing is I'm ex-directory and registered with the TPS. I'll complain to TPS if it happens again.

they keep on ringing, can't believe this number annoys so many people I only googled it to see where it was from. They dont stop ring.

dont answer any survey questions its a con to get your details and fraud your identity. by answering simple questions they can get all your passwords and user names, just tell them to F-off.

My 82 year old mother had one of these calls, but fortunatley she was out at the time and only picked up on it from 1471.  She rang me to see if I recognised the number, which was lucky as she was going to call them back to see who it was!!!  Not funny for elderly people who get confused!!!

The area code 01582 is Luton, Bedfordshire. It's a Cable & Wireless number, so you could try complaining to them.

We too had a call from a woman at 16.42 on 12th Jan 08 who started by saying something that MAY have been "GSK" but we can't be sure.She too was calling about a mobile phone SURVEY, which is deliberate. We too are registered with TPS and are XD but, when I complained to the Telephone Preference Service (which you must remember is run by the Direct Marketing Association), they said that if it was a survey they were not in breach of the requirements and suggested that I contact the Data Information Commissioner's Office - great help.

I'm also ex-directory but these buggers seem to have found my number from somewhere, they've only called once, about 10 minutes ago, but I don't answer any numbers I don't know, and only call numbers I do know, so they're wasting their time with me

Just received a call from them at 19:53, answered it and was treated to about 2 seconds of what sounded like a call centre, then they hung up. VERY annoying. Next time will pretend to be the local curry house and take their order.

Two missed calls from this number. I haven't phoned them back, checked on google and this site came up. Glad to know who it is so I don't answer them!

This number has called several times tonight and when you answer, no one speaks... Annoying or what!?!

Their website reveals that they use 01582630014 and 01582630015, so at least they are being honest about their nuisance calls, BUT read on.

The TPS system allows Market Research companies to make cold calls, as they are not selling anything.  However, it does not give them freedom to annoy people repeatedly.  If you ask them to stop, they should not make even one more call to you.  If they do, it is harassment, and you should report it to OFCOM and the police.

They rang at 18.30 and I had gone to work and my mother answered when she told them I was at work they just put the phone down. We are ex directoray and totally unavailable when ringing out so how do they get the number.

Missed a call earlier and googled to find this site. They have just phoned back and i told them that i needed to inform them that i am recording this conversation. They then put the phone down ! Dont think they will call again:)

I've just received a call from this company asking me to answer a survey on the allocation of school places on behalf of the government. As I have recently applied for a school place through my local authority I began to question them as to whether they were surveying me about my child specifically but they just hung up on me. I'm now wondering if my details have been passed on by my local authority? - I am Ex D and have TPS so I'm not impressed at all.

Isn't the Internet an amazing place where one can find out about pains in the b*m such as this lot.  They rang me this afternoon.  I did answer and got the call centre sounds, put the phone down.  They have now joined my ever growing list of 'Do Not Answer' numbers.

Where do they get our EXD numbers?  Easy, it's called continuous dialing.  For instance begin at 01226750000 and work your way through to 751000 and see how many unsuspecting folks you can annoy!

i'm registered with tps services, how come this calls come through, only my family as far as i can remember got my number so where did this call came from???
