Hi

I have received yet another unsolicited survey call from a number which traces back to GFK.

Since GFK make money providing surveys, I have decided that my services to answer calls which request my opinions and information about my lifestyle will no longer be free.

Accordingly and with immediate effect, I will be pleased answer calls requesting me to answer surveys and to partake in surveys, but only subject to a Consultancy Fee of £100 for up to thirty minutes and £100 for each successive period of up to 30 minutes, plus a £50 administration fee for each call answered.

Payment is requested within 30 (Thirty) days of the date of invoice. Any costs incurred in pursuing and obtaining payment after this time will be to your account.

This is the only basis on which I am prepared to answer survey calls or partake in surveys and will apply with immediate effect.

If you do not accept these terms, you are perfectly at liberty to omit my number for any calling list.

I received a call from this number tonight and they didn't leave a message on my answerphone

I'm glad I found this site, they call at least every half an hour and because I don't recognise the number, I don't pick up. Not spoken to them yet and will damn sure keep ignoring the phone!!

I had a missed call from this number.  All I can say is that it came almost immediately after I have been trying to arrange some insurance and I guess it is most likely to be one of the insurance companies trying to assess how well my enquiries have been handled.  Maybe it's not as sinister as it seems.

Can you please let me know who this caller is.

had another missed call from these tools. I thought it was wierd as this is my work mobile number they are calling and hardly anyone has it!!

and something about a survey its annoying.

Received a call from these b******s today (15/06/08).  Thankfully I was out, but they left a message which, like chadders above, sounded like a few seconds of call centre background noise

Carla from this number kept on and on calling asking for payroll manager - doing survey from HMRC.  When I googled their number saw all the posts - told her the same, and that I was not interested in speaking to her - hopefully she will now bugger off!

have you got any foreign friends at hand? ask them to answer next time and only speak their native language;)

Just had another attempt to contact from this number. Needless to say I didn't answer it.

I changed my outgoing message to say (In a thick brummy accent):
"Yow have reached the Mooslim Hate Centre. If you are offended by being called a [***], please hang up now. ......" Then shouting.... "THIS LINE IS REGISTERED WITH THE TPS AND IS EX-DIRECTORY, [***] OFF YOU P*KI C*NT"

This seems to offend them as much as being called offends me. I rarely get a second call, but did once wind one up so much he called me back several times and left some abuse for me. Doesn't it make you sick when you pay for the line and have to pay extra for CLI to see who is pestering you. Directline Insurance are a classic example - get an online quote and get pestered shortly afterwards.

Answer the call, press the hash key  # and hold it for several seconds

This will signal the CTI (Computer Telephony Integration)  system that the number is unavailable (NU) and most smart callout systems will flag your number as NU and no longer try it.

Failing that answer the call and say "[***] YOU" loudly or get Peggy to answer the phone ... see below for Peggy's abuseive comments.
