- Cameron| 1 replyThanks for letting us know about quintet. I just went for an interview and it matches this description completely.
Lewis Morton seems genuine when you meet him but i can assure you he is not. I wont be attending my next interview tomorrow and neither should you!- Caller: 01603230186
- Jaz replies to Cameron01603230186 is from Quintet Group. It used to Morton Solutions.
Just google Morton Solutions and it will come up with their old website.
You can tell it's the same company because of the address.
I'm very glad some people had the sense to do their research and not turn up to interviews, and found out the truth about the so-called company.
Quintet Group is advertising the same job position under 6 different titles on Reed. Sly, conniving [***].
So long as there is Forums out here spreading the word, there is hope to stop these greedy morons.
Remember in job searches; if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
Lewis Morton, watch out. - fw95This is a complete and utter scam.
Received an identical email to the one above and had arranged an interview for this Friday which I shall not be attending.
Do not get held up in this loop of a stupid and pathetic scam that exploit people with a willingness to work.- Caller: Quintet Group Ltd.

- Fuming Mum| 3 repliesWish I had seen these comments last week. Unfortunately, my daughter had the misfortune to attend an interview with this company (if you can call it that). The end result was her traipsing round the streets in the pouring rain, her shoes and clothes were ruined, and one person even gave her a towel for her hair as she was so wet and dripping and she has blisters the size of 50 pence piece. What idiot's treat people like this and then expect them to actually work for them. I read the qualities they expect in their employees, its a shame they don't practice the same qualities, honesty being one of them. Cold calling was never ever mentioned, and she was still waiting a final interview at 10pm, whilst a party was going on, oh and because she said she could not start until Monday was told she had not applied herself, who do these people think they are!! These people should not be allowed to exploit young people looking for a job!!.
- Sympathiser replies to Fuming Mum| 1 replyI completely understand the frustration and anger. I actually relocated halfway across the country to begin this job as my fella and I had found a flat together last summer. We had both recently graduated and of course, perfect bait for these blood-sucking parasites. I spent the whole day in the baking heat, whilst the two salesman I was lumped with drank from their bottles of water without offering any to me and of course, I had the compulsory blisters on my feet. The whole day was extremely frustrating and bizarre; every salesman I talked to seemed convinced they were going to be on a six-figure salary in a matter of months. Brainwashed if you ask me! I've worked in sales before, but these kind of people I just lunatics. They skim over every detail about the job when you go for the "OBSERVATION DAY". They're well-practised, and they know how to lure people in.
Spread the word.
QUINTET GROUP aka MORTON SOLUTIONS IS A SCAM! also is another company which is in the same office block MG LIMITED but judging by all the bad press they might be under another alias. - Fuming Mum replies to SympathiserShe feels quite humiliated that she actually thought she would be given the job she actually applied for. Such a shame that people are allowed to advertise jobs which are non existent and get people there under false pretenses.
Good luck for the future. - LunaI applied for a "sales advisor" position at this company at was successful for a "second interview" aka get assigned to a stuck up employee to see how the "company works", walk about 50 minutes to an hour to the outskirts of Norwich to local neighbourhoods to basically do door to door sales/charity work and be tasked for tedious [***] documents on it all.
I wasted half of my day doing this with the assigned employee acting like a complete knob because I was checking my phone to make sure I had travel arrangements sorted as they said this whole day event could last all day. I terminated my interview when seeing how pathetic this truly was and was walked halfway through the neighbourhood and left stranded there to find my own way back all the way to the train station (luckily a police officer helped me find my way).
This wasn't a "sales advisor" job at all.I have plenty of retail experience, customer service etc. It was a blatant we'll consume-your-soul-and-life job where everyone at the interview day including this foul company looked "perfect". They seem obnoxious, self absorbed and I couldn't imagine working with such people. I'm so glad I didn't get a job with these [***] and never again will I apply for any retail positions they have going. Avoid them at all costs.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Luna replies to Fuming MumOh my god I'm so sorry to hear your daughter went through this! I went for a interview with them too many months ago. Forced to walk around the middle of Norwich, an area I've never been to before, relying on benefits to get; was never paid back my travelling fees and felt like a complete waste of space by the end of it.
- JamesHi, I've just red all the comments on here.
I come across this forum by accident as I was trying to find out some more information about Quintet Group.
I had my first interview yesterday (Friday 4th October 2013).
20minute interview with some tall skinny guy with blonde hair.
Said all the things mentioned above. Spoke a lot of stuff I didn't really understand.
Was told I would find out by 4.30 that day if I'd made it through to a second interview.
Email arrived and I have to go back on Monday (7th October 2013) for second interview but this time I've got to spend the entire day shadowing someone. They said I need to be there for 11o, clock and if I'm successful to be selected for a 3rd Interview I could be there till 7.30-8pm!!
I'm guessing by all these comments that I won't be attending now.
I was just curious to find out a bit more about the company as their official site pretty much says the same thing on every page. I was looking for names of any companies that have actually used their services but can't find any??- Caller: Quintet Group, Norwich
- anonThanks everyone for helping me make sense of a confusing day at Quintet Group! I had the first interview today and wow, alarm bells were ringing and I had to check them out:
1. The "office" on St George's street was hard to find, and just looked like someone's apartment.
2. The head guy, Lewis Morton, seemed to have too much in common with me. He studied English at uni just like me; he once had a Chinese girlfriend... I told him I developed epilepsy at 18 and his first reaction was that he couldn't imagine this... then he was saying he too had fits as a child.
3. He spoke really fast, but all in buzzwords with no real information. Actually I felt stupid, so I'm glad others were similarly confused.
4. I thought he might have a small mental problem, because he took my application form, turned it over and started maniacally drawing arrows and scribbles as he spoke. Literally scribbles: not even close to writing. Then he'd circle some of the scribbles and turn it around to me as though I'm supposed to know what to make of it. It was actually embarrassing and I didn't know what face to pull. From reading around, this seems to be a standard technique employed at various offices by various people.
My (Chinese) girlfriend just got her Masters in business studies so she knows a lot more than me about these kinds of people. She said their website could be a case study for how not to conduct a legitimate business. She also said this is illegal now in China after there was a huge problem there, with people being brainwashed, cold selling to their own grandmothers and it was treated like a plague. Imagine that! Business practices so immoral they're even banned in China. To be honest, I'd quite like to go to the second interview tomorrow just out of morbid curiosity (and maybe some sense of smug superiority) - but she's genuinely worried. Hahaha!
Joking aside though, I had no idea this would happen and if I'd travelled a long way to get there (as I see others have), I'd be very annoyed!

- StephAnyone who attends the "first interview" and even dares to go near the "second interview" is nothing but a gullible fool who will be nothing but hypnotised by Quintet Group's trickery.
Their office is practically hidden and I know why now. It's almost impossible to find them.
3 Merchants Court aka tucked away near some posh restaurant.
St Georges Street

Been there, done that, didn't get the t-shirt. A lucky escape if you ask me, this company is beyond shady. Your choice. - anothergulliblefool| 1 replyOMG i went their today!? second interview tomorrow!? may just turn up and nick a few things then leave. what do they do to gain from this "scam"? how do i fight them
- Nicole Lee replies to anothergulliblefoolI was also there yesterday, second interview today, have no idea what to do now. :(
- Fuming girlI went for this exact "second interview" today, same little place tucked away in Norwich, I got sent off on a bus with a guy called Jeff who sat me at a pub - the cherry tree, and left me there for the whole day!! I'm an 18 year old teenage girl and was left humiliated at the thought I would get the job, whilst this man went off cold calling, when he retuned my mother was there and was screaming at him for leaving me in a pub in a place I didn't know! He said it was too cold for me to out so that's why he left me there
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR AN INTERVIEW - Concerned Girl| 2 repliesIf you've been to the first and second interview with this scam of a marketing company, contact your local job centres, agencies and papers to spread awareness of them as they are contributing to a huge problem. There are so many companies like this out there continuously giving the struggling, young and unemployed hopes & aspirations only to ditch them or make them their work slaves for a commission based pay.
- Anonagain replies to Concerned Girl| 1 replyIf anyone is still reading this thread...
Quintet Group are now calling themselves ICONIC STRATEGIES.
I applied for a position through Monster and got a generic email a lot like the previous one, asking me to call a mobile number. Well, I thought this was fishy but I do need a job so I gave it a go. I asked the young woman about the job and she couldn't tell me anything useful. I asked if it was 100% commission or if there was any salary, and she gave me a long spiel without really answering. I said I like to be careful because I recently had an interview with Quintet Group, which used to be called Morton Solutions and was quite obviously a scam. She hung up with no further word. I'd been perfectly polite and friendly (I need a job: I don't want to upset anyone if there's ANY chance this is real.)
I looked them up some more and their address is the same. - Dragonfly| 2 repliesHi Thank you everyone for the tip off, i was going to apply to this company but had my reservations due to the too good to be true factor, I stumbled across this site whilst doing a little further research and am very glad I took the time to read the comments above, needless to say I will not be wasting my time in submitting my appication. I am desperate for work after recently relocating but not that desperate :-)
