does anyone know who this number is.. answer it then there is no one on other end. its doing me head in now as its al;ways calling

This telephone number is to a dept collection agency called Newlyn. They have accounts such as un-paid council tax bills passed to them to recover.

I have had numorous letters from these people regarding an unpaid parking ticket, on a car whihc is not even mine!!! but an old company car available to everyone at the company where i use to work??????

I got a letter from this number as well but no body answers on the phone. There is a parking ticket in name of someone who not even lives here

Well I've had 2 threatening texts telling me about bailiffs coming to collect my goods and I didn't have a clue who they were! I've called and it's all sorted out, genuine mistake some other person they are after gave a made up mobile number which happened to be mine!

my daughter has received text and answerphone messages from this company saying that the bailiffs are on their way or will be round in 48 hours, she recently had a baby and is suffering post natal depression. I rang last month and was told that my daughters number had been given (like laura) and that it had beeen deleted from the file, saturday she received another call we'd taken her out for the day and it totally ruined it. I have been on the phone to them first thing this morning now I.m assured its definately been deleted. time will tell!

I had three calls from that number this afternoon, each time it just hung up. I think it's about time Offtel were informed as this must be in breach of acceptable use of telecommunications.

When you call the number out of hours there is an answerphone, no announcement as to the name of the company, informing you of their opening hours Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 9.00 pm and Saturday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. They are obviously ashamed to say who they are and what they do. I have no debts, and will phone tomorrow to complain. I suggest we all do likewise.

I've had several calls from them harrassing me. We reported them and later found out that they have got the wrong information. They were after someone else.

I'm sure there must be a law in this country about debt collectors harrassing people.

Newlyn Collections have been harrassing and threatening to take goods out of my property. I have never seen them physically before, they have sent me many text messages and keep ringing my mobile phone saying that I own council tax.

We have explained to them that they have the wrong telephone number and the person on the other line kept calling me a liar! I was shocked.

I rang up my local council and told them about these incidents. They apologised for the mistake and told me it will never happen again.

Well, it happened again!
I am so convinced that this is some off-shore scam to scare people into paying up for things they don't owe.

A friend of mine received a call from them too saying that she owed parking fines. The joke is she is registered blind and they continued to threaten her.

I have been harrassed by this compamy who tell me that my number cannot be erased from their system until I give them a telephone number for the account holder, which I must add is not myself!!!! Bloody cheek, the poor customer service girl. I wasn't the friendliest on the phone as I have had enough of their calls.....

I had a call from them today while I was at work so someone left a message and he talked so fast when saying who he was calling from. I had to listen to the message about 7 times and still could not work out the phone number all I could work out that he hade my full name and it was a bailiffs and i was to call them urgently. I manage to go through my phone and found the number he called from, put the number in to goggle and that’s how I got hear. If they are in Northampton then why are they calling me as im in Kent (Tunbridge wells) and never even been near Northampton

This company are a Baliffs company. I have an account with them for a council tax bill. They are the rudest bunch of low lifes I have ever had to deal with!!
I called to make an arrangement to pay them fortnightly, as I am currently unemployed, and they Forced me to agree to paying them £90 a week, by threatening me by saying they were going to come and take my goods!! I have been paying them small amounts of what I can afford each week. I got the Citezens advice people to call them and they were rude to them and said we just had to pay them!!

Now they have started sending letters to "the occupier" of my address and sending me text messages saying "get home now a baliff is at your property to remove goods!! call us now on...... I rushed home like a fool, and as yet no one has turned up yet. If you get the right person, when you call (his name is Luke) he is polite, and basically says to pay what you can. Its just so frustrating and ridiculous a company has to carry on like this when I am trying to pay them, as well us everyone else out of my money.

i have been reciving calls from this company for a few weeks now and they leave messages on my phone to fast for me to hear them . as far as i am awear they are collecting cancil tax bills.

i do have cancil tax bill but i went into my cancil in tunbridge wells and they passed me to the collecting agencey that is dealing with it which is a diffrent company all togeather like one of the comenets above i live in tunbridge wells why would they be collecting in kent if they are all the way up north ?

from what i have herd they are a bunch of cowboys !!!!!

Newlyn still persist in calling my mobile phone & sending me texts even though I do not have any debts!! My number has been registered on an account which is not my name or address. I have had enough.....does anyone have any suggestions on what to do as I have wasted enough of my time and phone bill ringing them to inform them of their mistake!!!!!

Newlyn are indeed court balliffs their agents are rude and unprofessional. I had never heard from this company before and yet a collection agent turned up frightened my daughter and left a removal of goods letter. It concerned an unpaid parking fine for a tennent who moved out 10 months ago. I phoned them and was told it was my fault for not notifying DVLA that the previous tenent and his motor had moved????????

I have been harrased by this company too, they constantly leave messages requesting I call them and no one answers. Best thing I was told was to request information of proff detailing when and when ect.... Have found that they have stoped contacting me. for now......... Dont except there abuse they just try to scare you out of your money if the debt is real then by law as long as you make an offer of sem to pay back your well in your right to do so and cant reject the offer stick to your guns.
