The law has changed they cant come in thru open doors or windows now. Ypu have to agree to let them in thru your front door.

mail@ico.gov.org.uk is the place to complain - we have had over 30 calls asking for someone who has never lived here.  We have had the same house and phone number for 30 years!

Debt collector/bailiffs.

This number has called me 5 times in the last 2 days it is starting to get annoying. I have heard that it is from a debt collection agency called Newlyn who collect unpaid council tax bills. I pay my council tax every month so y are they calling me this is harassment please report this number as no one answers when you ring It back.

Missed a call from this number.  They didn't even say who they are looking for?  Told us there's a planned visit but I haven't had any letters from anyone. Got caught by a ppi company earlier who told me about a loan I had in 2005  can't remember what that was for   why do people just not send a letter through the post  most people answer their mail.  Thought cold calling was to be banned

Had text requesting I contact them re a council debt and quoted a reference. rang them and asked basic detail of which council? They wouldn't talk to me without giving my name owing to "data protection". I refused to give my name as I didn't know if it is a scam. As I don't owe any money I asked them to write to me and explain about the alleged debt which they refused. What kind of company is this?

Had a call from them today asking to speak to 2 people, naming names the man on the phone couldn't even pronounce and  I had no idea who they were, never heard of them.  Told them they had the wrong number, which they have, and then they started to ask details about me! Told them it was none of their business and I wasn't going to give my own personal info out to a stranger on a phone. Rude man told me that they will keep phoning our number until I could prove I was not either of the folk he was after - I don't think so, it's up to them to prove I am! Not a very good company and I feel sorry for anyone who does actually have to deal with them.

Martin, It's because it's a computer dialling out and if their operators are busy it hangs up, god they must be busy because of the beat the Bailiffs and Banks site lol

The company has been leaving me threatening messages of removing my goods within 42h. They have also kept phoning me every day and leaving voicemail messages, which required me to contact them immediately. I did not have people come to my parents home to collect any possessions, however the constant messages and phone calls became annoying so I phoned them up after which I stated my age and the fact that I clearly cannot hold any debts. The person asked my name and number in order to remove it from the list. Let's hope the harassment will stop.

I owe council tax, they added on over £400 and threatened me, I missed one payment because I lost my baby and was in hospital having to give birth to my baby and they're still harassing me even though I paid the one I missed and then kept up! They told me tough n I breached my agreement! They are very rude and nasty people and the fact the government uses them is criminal!

Stop calling me asking me to call u back

fine account 17005694n a case was listed 17-5-2017 to conside reassessing the amount of fine due to my circumstances told they would write and let me know have received no such letter

I owe council tax, I've emailed this company offering £100 per month, their reply asked for £720 per month for 3 months, even though the total amount of council tax I owe was only £437.  They have never been in my house so have no control of goods, but they text me everyday informing me that a removed van has been booked to remove my goods, did you know that no bailiff can force their way in or break in to recover council tax, fact from the CAB! Noone has turned up to remove my goods as yet, but these messages are harrasment and they can be take to court for it!

I have had dealings today with these lowlifes, I’ve never spoken to such rude people! They have said they are coming to get my car and they don’t care that it’s on finance they will still take it to auction for the sake of £284 (even though it’s on finance and I’m up to date with those payments£ which I have offered monthly payments for but they don’t wanna know!! Council should not be associated with these cowboys!! They are rude and dismissive 😡

Keeps on calling and harassing me for some parking fine from council I don’t even have a car or a full driving license nor did I ever pass let alone a fine saying it’s registered under my name never received any ownership letter from Dvla so I don’t know why there still harassing me calling everyday giving text messages removal van on the way call back to Newlyn to resolve  sending letters out aswell
Letters about visited the property  by post but no one turned up I’m always in Don’t understand why send letters when they don’t even bother turning up loads off [***] I guess I don’t bother anymore it’s putting me thur depression everyday
They should go and check the CCTV who was driving the car on that day and harass them
I’m sure I’m not the only person with this name in the world can some help give advice what to do thanks
