Fraudsters, steer clear of these people, they're either indian or Sri Lankan with english names.

I have had calls from 01618131920 several times when I answer they hang up. It is very worrying.

Who are 0161 are they alians trying to make contact

Hi justfound this site & can advise that an 0161 telephone number is from the Manchester area of the UK. I know you posted the enquiry a few years ago

Hi All I can advise is that this is a Manchester dialling code. It may well be an automated automatic dial code & that is why it appears that the caller is hanging up ?

3  calls from 0161 in less than 5mins. i run a charity and cant keep stopping what im doing to pick up these nucience ruddy calls !!!!!

They know line is.live as soon.as u answer it so if you dont live in manchester dont answer i have caller id best advice i can give and i used to get them to my.mibile if there not in my contacts well i marrk them as crank callers hope this helps

Yes dont answer these numbers store them in contacts as cranks or get a good whistle

Some of the 0161 numbers you can call back one call me talked for a few seconds then hung up I called back to tell them how rude is was they hung up again I had the day off work that day I called them back over 50 times they got really pissed off with it and I bloked one of there phone lines pluss it felt good to give them a bit of it back :)
