Got a call from Primus UK Ltd (based in Dickinson House, Dickinson Street, Manchester) on Thurs 1st Oct 2009 and was told that the Boss had seen my CV and was impressed. Asked to attend their preliminary round of interviews on 2nd Oct 2009.  The first thing I noticed was that upon arrival (at the address stated in the confirmation email) which was very vague, I could not find the place.  There was no sign and no name on the buzzer only reception.  Very sparce and shoddy reception area and waiting room was same.  Felt very uneasy and was not given a lot of notice to research the company as Companies House was closed for work to the website.  The only research I could do was looking on their website which is still under construction even though the company has been running since 2006.  
The interviews were done in pairs which I found very strange.  They were very vague on what exactly you would be doing in their organisation.  We were told that they were interviewing 100 applicants that day and if we had made it to the next stage we would receive a call between 5 and 6 the same night.  Out of the 100 applicants only 20 would make it through to the next stage.  I received a call inviting me back on 5th Oct 2009 and to dress smartly again and that it was company policy not to wear high heels. (I now know that high heels would not be suitable for door to door sales)  I have now done my homework on this company and have found them under a few websites as a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They also use the telephone number 0161 200 1100 to call you back on for the next stage.  I have found that they were based at 16 Newton Street, Manchester - tel: 0161 242 1780. (they may still be there for all I know).  I have also found that a company called JL Acquisitions Ltd are at the same address in Dickinson Street, Manchester and using the same telephone number.
As you can tell I will not be going to their office for the next stage as I have gone with my instincts and done as much research as possible and found out their scam.  I hope they do not call me again as I will give them a piece of my mind.

They are now also using the number 0161 200 1115 and calling themselves CSK Marketing!
What a waste of time!!

ive had a call off them today...should i go..? i dont really want to now after reading this!!! the number they used was 0161 200 1118

But the company name might be changed now to be Select Marketing Solution. Is it the same as before?

complete and utter con. you will never earn a penny. Just Google select marketing solutions scam, or dickinson house scam and have a read of it all. I went for the interview, interview day (all 11 hours of it!!) and then started the following day. I lasted till dinnertime then walked out, it is a complete and utter disgrace and needs shutting down.

Was a bit aware it was on Dickinson Street, but they were seriously avoiding telling me where, whether it was the tower or not.
Just tried ringing my interviewer 3 times this morning, rang until i got answer phone 01612001118. So tried ringing 1110, got straight through to a rather rude lady, who didnt name the company or anything, but my interviewer came straight to the phone then.
Said no can do.
This is an extreamly unproffessional place. Iv had one friend almost lose £300 from them, never let a new job do credit checks on you! Another lady who was on my original interview day last year, worked for 3weeks and made £20.
Dont do it, its not worth it!

i got a call on my mobile today asking me for an interview tomoro the number was 0161 200 1118 they told me it was in dickenson house im not sure if to attened now cananyone help?

I had a call they claimed to be called a.c generations, very keen for an interview, however i did read at the bottom of the email that your wages are based on the sales you make. Ill go to the interview but very suspious, see what the odds are...

I had an interview with Primus in Leicester, im not sure if its the same as the one in manchester, but I got a phone call today from 0161 200 1118....trued calling back because I missed the call but no answer.
I applied for a marketing and advertising role, but it was purely sales and going door to door.

And suprise suprise I got a call saying I got thru to the second stage. Again was told to dress smart, no heels and bring a small packed lunch and note book. I thought id be in an office or department, but no...I was goign to Derby for 9 hours....I wasnt told I was going out of Leicester and I had to pay myself to get to whereever it was. So I told the lady its not for me and left her!

Most stupiest thing ever! They say that after so many months you get promoted and within the year become a project manager...bullsh*t! Dont bother applying for a job with them! The woman who i was following had been going door to door fover 9 months, I was told after 6 months you'd get promoted to management roles ....but yeah the office was empty, hardlyanyone there so wouldnt be suprised if it was a scam!!

But if its a professional company....they are no where near professional!! So annoyed! Now I know if the 01612001118 number calls again I wont pick up !

I applied for a marketing job on one of the job websites for a company called ACgenerations based in Manchester with the same telephone number '0161 200 1118'.  I was also invited for interview but luckily always check phone numbers on the internet before going through with meeting people.  Good thing I did after reading all these comments.

Complete waste of time. All these companies need to be shut down they are wasting peoples time and if I was to actually go to one of their stupid interviews I would surely tell them how I feel. They are constantly getting peoples hopes up and then letting them down.

i recently received a call from  Fancesca Grant from AC generations  (01612001118) inviting me to an interview. i found it very difficult to find any information about the company and the job discription was also very vague. It was only when i googled the address that i was e-mailed by francesca that i found  this website. very glad i did feel a bit stupid didnt realise it was a sales scam. only advise anyone who are asked to attended an interview at 20 Dickinson Steet, Manchester, M1 4LX to read some of the comments that other people have left.

Francesca Grant called me too. and was very keen to offer me an interview... i went to the so called initerview.. i didnt check AC generations out before hand, so i got trapped, now i know not to trust these kind of fake companies & people.

Just recieved an email also from francesa grant and a phone call although no left message. I didnt actually remember applying but if I did it would have only been yesterday.

I am really trying hard to find a decent job.

I think they also use the name primus uk, g force marketing and i thinkit srm marketing.

I hate when people get my hopes up. : (
