- Molly replies to RachDon't worry I went for an interview a few months back and thought I'd reapply but I just found this and I'm defo not going to be trying for it again, you're not missing much and I'm in the same boat it's a pain to try and find a job but don't worry you'll get somewhere and they do get your hopes up but considering they seem to be recruting all the time it seems strange

- dendenisHello all
I was there on Wednesday just gone (the 18th) 2pm appointment.
Bloke in the corner with the glasses on wearing a suit.
Was the interviewers name "Gareth"?
Had like a south african accent.?
Him and hiss mug mate smiling at each other.
That stupid tiny lift!
It all seemed like balls to me too, low and behold it was.
Ironically I had a phone call on the way their and start a new job Monday!
Good luck everyone else

http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/Company/Fin ... 0SECS%20LIMITED - xkayelzx replies to FactsI actually went for an interview with them last year around June time. I was naive and really needed a job, so went along with it. I got there an like everyone else was told i'd be in a group of loads of people an only a certain amount selected. Of course I was selected and told to go in the following day. They took me to some place in Bolton at first, had to get two buses and pay my own way. On the way back the guys who I went with stayed at the place we were, which was Morisons, an left me to get the bus back on my own! I had no idea where i was. I went back the next day for my first "proper" day at work. Stood in morrisons for 10 hours straight trying to sell talktalk to no one who cared. This was in Wales, had to pay my train fare there of course and earned not a single penny for all those hours! I have no idea what theyre actually trying to achieve here, people go in and realise it's bull an never go back. How exactly are they making money? They also called me today to try and offer me an interview, sent me an email this morning asking me to ring them, I didnt so they rang me 6 hours later. As soon as I saw Dickinson house theres no way i'd attend!
- AnonStill at it buy the looks of things, i had a interview today, and they said, they had interviews 300 people in 3 weeks, and that they would get it down to the final 5, and 5 of us hat to battle it out for a winning place. They said, Dress Professionally as i would be meeting the manager, and CEO of the company. In the interview today they also said, something about starting at the bottom, and working my way up over 6-10 months, and that there would be unlimited manegment places. They mentioned nothing about door to door, kind of odd. He said, they signed up 120,000 Clients last year for TalkTalk, and that there Company (AC Genrations) Grossed over 840Million, and was saying that they only deal with companies who earn more then 90million a year, buy this point in the interview, i was nearly, sleeping and knew it was too good to be true. IF you enjoy Door-Door sales, its a good job, but if youre more of a Office Sales man, id recommed to stay away...

- Jimmy replies to Not falling for it!The exact same thing happened to me. Except i had to wait two hours after my scheduled time to see the boss for 1 minute. I attended the second round interview which ended up being driven to the middle of prestwich (I had no idea it was door to door sale's and i had been on the website and the first round interview) and walking with a salesman and another candidate. Eventually he disappeared and i ended up stranded in prestwich with no idea where the saleman was or where i was! Eventually i rang my dad who found out where i was and i left, but even after taking my number down in case we got separated he didn't ring me to find out where i had gone, i could have been killed for all the company had known.
- jade| 1 replythis is the worst company to work for. i know a girl who worked there for 3 weeks, signed up around 14 people and didn't receive a single penny, they kept saying every monday they'd pay her and it's been about 6 weeks now.
- kk replies to jadehow bad is this ac generation company? is the boss that bad and what about the people working there? what is really wrong with the company? do they take customer's money or do they do the job they are required to do? tell please what is wrong because i guess everything has its dudgy side but it depends on who is looking at it.
- Allan of AberdeenThanks guys, I have just had them petering me too, after I sent an email. I have now sent them packing with some rather choice words. Allan
- MissCakesThanks to everyone whose posted the comments on here, They phoned me at 8pm asking me to go to an interview the following afternoon. Sure enough, looking for this number (and others that end slightly different) all said similar things. Slightly worried they have all my personal details and are using well known recruitment sites to entice people so im looking into reporting it. Needless to say, shalnt be going to the interview.

- nicola replies to Not falling for it!| 1 replyI had a missed call today from the 01612001118 number so as always put a search in Google to see who it was. I have also received an email. The company now calls themselves ac generations running from the same address and with the same descriptions of how long they have been in business etc, thanks to everyone for posting as I now know not to waste my time with this company.
- Nicola replies to nicolaTurns out this company actually conned my brother! They were operating under a different name but same details and address. He and another poor soul were dumped in Liverpool (we are from east manchester) and left to get back themselves, I contacted the office and was told the man in charge of my brother was conveniently unavailable I gave them a piece of my mind. I have responded to my interview email telling them where to go and hope they don't keep tricking innocent job seekers into doing their dirty work!
- jon replies to Not falling for it!Hi all
I also got an email from them calling me from Ac Generations for an interview and was really excited until I tried to call the 0161 200 118 number 100 times and no one answered and then tried to research the company... they don't have a proper website- which big company doesn't have a proper website? and then I came across this site, thankfully and found out who they really are,! crooks! You geussed right I won't be attending the interview... - CazdelJust received an e-mail confirming an interview for tomorrow after applying for a job over the weekend. Was very excited to hear so quickly but after reading these comments feel that I won't bother although I will decline politely...
Thanks for the tip-offs guys and girls- Caller: AC Solutions
- james| 1 replyHi guys
I have just been offered an interview with Nick Johnson, the owner of AC Gen in Colchester and stumbled upon this forum which has been an interesting read. My interview is tomorrow afternoon and I am trying to decide what to do now...
I am deciding between ignoring it completely, replying that I am no longer interested or going and trying to ask some quesions of Mr Johnson. What do you think? Any questions you think I should ask?- Caller: AC Generations
- Greg replies to jamesHey,
I applied for a position at AC Gen aswell, and they've asked me to give them a call at their Manchester base which everybody on this forum has cited, was quite looking forward to the interview process but the ammount of negative comments on here about them is staggering! Think id do well to stay away!
James, guessing this reply came too late but id be very interested to see how they came across in the interview. Perhaps some leading questions about their reputation, future goals and past successes would be an idea to see if there still up to their apparent 'old tricks'.
Just goes to show how much good researching employers can do!
