I keep getting calls from this number and another 0800 number of theirs. I've registered with the TPS so guess I'll just have to report them.

Had a call from them yesterday, couldnt hear where she was from but she wanted to do a suvey with me to enter me into a draw.

they call me at least once a week fed up to the back teeth there should be a law aginst this, I have a family and business the rest of the time is mine, not there to answer there nuisance calls

Daily calls from this and a similar no. Vvvvvv annoying.

This number has continually rung me for the past SEVEN days.  I don't know the caller ID and I won't answer calls from numbers I don't recognise.  Whoever this is, they are very persistent and when I find out who they are I will be reporting them.

The number +44 161 217 8400 belongs to a firm called Convergist Telephone Contacts - essentially a call centre.

A bunch of low skilled MORONS who think it is ok to annoy people with unsolicited calls and leave no message.

I found this out by calling the number back and then used their system to have my details removed from their data base. If it is not, then hopefully they will be fined £500,000 for their troubles.

I am also reporting the number to  OFCOM in the hopes they will be punished.

TPS seems to be a voluntary thing and firms just ignore it. I ask the caller their name and then say they are breaking the law as they are supposed to check before they call me. If they still persist, I ask them for their home address and their bank details. I keep asking them for info until they usually hang up on me. but at leastI have had a little fun!

I'm not sure which company is using this number at present as I did not pick it up (always come on here first when I receive a call from someone I don't know).

Having read through the comments from the past few years, I am assuming I received the call as a result of a search I did for an insurance quote today. It just so happened that in the last hour I searched several comparison sites for pet insurance quotes and then all of a sudden, this number rings me - and others have said for them, it was More Than, which is one of the companies I searched.

So needless to say, when I DO decide to choose a policy, it won't be with More Than if they are selling on details!

If you've done a recent search online for an insurance quote - this is likely the culprit!

In response to Lisa's comment, yes I've had calls from More Than and this number just days after searching online for pet insurance. Not impressed.

Was Virgin Media, Business line, saying that had recently put in new fibre cabling near us.

Hi this company is called convergus working on behalf of fed ex, they called me today to check I was in then an hour later they arrived with my parcel

Calls from this number are most unwelcome

Constantly bombarded with text messages saying I have a missed call from this number !

This number has rang me twice but no reply when picked up!!!!

Me too driving me mad

They called then hung up when I answered

I had a call from this number saying it was O2 calling to discuss upgrades...told them I'll call them back to get them off the phone and blocked the number

Pretended to be from O2 mobile service, trying to sell me a phone contract.
