Trying to sell advertising space on Google

Claiming to be Google, offering a "first page listing that has become available" (Imagine that! If I didn't take it there would be a big hole on the front page of Google! Shocker!)
I declined, he got rude, pushy and demanding! Great way to sell something!

Very rude and insistant people, questioned my knowledge regarding the business. Avoid!

Don't know who they were but asked to speak to the owner of the business. Immediately guessing that they were a cold caller I said " No. [***]." and put the phone down.

Why a cold caller? Well they didn't even know the name of the business. Sometimes they have the name of the business but you can hear loads of chattering in the background (cold call centre). Alternatively, they mis-pronounce my name (with loads of chatter in the background) As NOBODY calls me by me 'proper name' if they know me :) it must be a cold caller!

I got a call from these guys.  So having read your posts I called them back and asked who they were.

The guy who answered said they are netsearch media and they are in Newton Street Manchester.  Interesting that when they call they say that they are from google yet their website says "We are not employed, endorsed, or agents of Google™. "

Basically lying cold calling shysters.

It's a classic Danny Kay & Michael Critchley scam company.

Surely Kevin, if they were lying shysters they wouldn't tell you who they were and the address they can be found at just to anyone calling in if they didn't know who YOU were?  Plus the disclaimer on the website and the fact the guy who answered saying netsearch media?  Just making a point.....

So, manc lad...... can you absolutely prove that the same persons run all these companies?  Disgruntled ex employee, by any chance because you are being very mis leading here and this maybe construed as slanderous and mis leading.... Why else would you waste these precious minutes of your life on creating all these posts... #JustSayin

just got a call from this number saying they could advertise everyone on facebook within a 25 mile radius of my kickboxing club.....not interested...but did have my guard up when he started goin on and on....no pun intended either lol!!

claimed to help me get students for my kickboxing club by advertising on everybodys facebook page with 25 miles of me!!!! i`m sure i can do that myself!!!!

I was told I could add some advertising on FaceBook for my Martial Arts Dojo, for just £120 with no form of contract involved, I was also told that I would be the only club advertised with a 25 mile radius of my club location,
Seemed like a good idea at the time and £120 was not too bad......................1 week later I have heard nothing.It's a scam..........stay away from this number and the others listed.

had calls from both netsearchmedia & platunum press both selling same fake advertising promising the earth but deliever nothing when you ask questions they get very angry they demand moneys for nothing when you say the word trading standards they dont like it also solictors as im now taking legal action to get my hard earned money back stand up to this crooks dont give them a penny all you get is greif how they live with them selfs is beyond me

Contacted by Neil Burton attempting to offer facebook advertising within 25 mile radius then increased it to 50 miles. Fortunately heard about the firm on You and Yours radio 4 and alarm bells ringing. Very insistent that we sign up - mentioned he was a scammer and he just kept on saying I was wrong and could not give me a local advertiser who had used his services! X rated people!

You should check out the company for yourself instead of thinking its a scam. if you have not tried it, how do you know its a scam????

I feel so stupid.
I took out a one month facebook ad with NetSearchMedia after a girl rang me.
It cost me £100 and from what the girl said on the phone, I would see a healthy return within two weeks.
The girl said on the phone that just before my first month was up, somebody would call me to see If I wanted to continue with a second month.
Nobody called me, and I never received any kind of correspondance so I was shocked when I noticed that anther £100 had been taken from my account. - I called NetSearchMedia to ask for my money back and the man on the phone got very rude and kept repeating that I had missed the cancellation deadline.
I gave up arguing with him and he verified that the account would be cancelled and no more money would be taken from my account.
14 days later, another £100 was taken from my account. Again, I called NetSearchMedia and the man on the phone said that I had missed the cancellation deadline.
Time to speak to my bank!! - The bank refunded me the £200 that NetSearchMedia had taken from my account without my permisson.
However, one week later, I noticed that NetSearchMedia had taken two lots of £180 out of my account. (Apparently a fee they charge for each chargeback by my bank). - Again, I got this back from my bank.
I have now cancelled my card so that NetSearchMedia cannot take any further money. But this morning  I have received a letter from them through the post saying that I owe them £360 for the chargebacks from my bank. - HAS ANYBODY BEEN TAKEN TO COURT BY NETSEARCHMEDIA???

I wish I had researched the company before I decided to give them my card details. The company is one giant scam!! I will NEVER make this mistake before - If my bank hadn't have been so helpful, it would have cost me £960 rather than the initial £100 I agreed to!!!

Then i noticed thst another £120 had been taken off my credit card. I phoned to complain and they said i hadnt cancelled and read their terms and conditions. Therefore i was still due them another £120. I have had to cancel my credit card and am now contacting trading standards. Has anyone else had similar problems with this company ?
