First and, hopefully, last call from this lot.  Will now try and find their website to instruct them to remove my number from their data base and then report them to TPS.

I had this number call me today - Tameside information , I told her I did not want to speak to her as we were in the middle of our evening meal, she tried to push a conversation, so I put the phone down.  Incidently she asked for us by name!  We have been troubled with  automated calls for loft insulation for over three weeks now, they leave messages on the answer machine if we don't anwer.

I have just reported this company to TPS.

Just got their call. They claimed they did know I was registered with the TPS and now are saying they'll remove my number from their database...

This number has rang me 4 times in the past hour!! - unsure how they got my number as im on the TPS.

I refuse to answer as we dont give out our number only to our family.

I've complained to the TPS.

Hopefully they can do something.

rang me twice within the space of an hour, teatime 24/5/2012 and then no-one speaks so i just hung up, getting annoying now, hubby been woken both times......grrr

I have been called 4 times since getting home from work and each time they put the phone down on me. I wonder if they are expecting my husband to answer.
I hate marketing calls but i hate even more the fact that this company DON'T HAVE THE DECENCY to at least speak.

Just had call asking for previous resident who has been dead for 10+ years, selling insulation

Called early this morning. Left phone ringing for what seemed like an eternity. I didn't answer. I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognise. From the information I have gleaned from other sites this number belongs to an irritating telemarketing company who call themselves Tameside Insulations. Tameside? I expect they will call again and again I will not answer. Or perhaps I should? Just pick up the receiver and bang it back down again. At least it will be a wasted call (on their phone bill) for them.

I answered this number about a year ago, although, I never normally do and to my immense surprise ended up with them insulating my house and handling the grant. While their work was not perfect, it was not bad and they gave no trouble when doing it.

The only problem is that they are now ringing again trying to sell me insulation! Before realising who they were,as others are doing the same, they got a rather rude response from me

I've been reading all the comments on this site and I'm so surprised that TPS hasn't done something about this company. I keep getting calls from them and yes I am registered with TPS too. I've told them I'm registered with TPS and they shouldn't be calling me. Doesn't make a blind bit of difference.

The best thing I ever did was get an answering machine.
When my answering kicked in they hung up.

Tameside Insulation.  Rang them back and told them I was going to report them to TPS for calling an opted-out number.  Rude lady said they could call who they like because what they are offering is a free grant so it's not sales (oh yes, I remember that lesson about free lunches...), so I said I would be reporting them anyway and she said "whatever" and hung up.  Nice people.  Will make a note to do business with them in future.

I always check this website if I have a call from an unrecognised number & I always let my calls go to answer machine.  As usual with all these marketing companies, they never leave any message & I agree with everyone else - it gets really annoying to say the least.
Thank goodness for caller display - it is worth paying a bit extra to see who is calling first but nothing seems to stop these **stards.
I was called today at 9.51am from 0161 3372280 but after my own answer message had finished, the call just ended.
It is interesting to note from other people that Energy Trust is possibly linked with these people.
I stupidly contacted Energy Trust 4 years ago when I retired, thinking that it would be helpful to try to reduce energy bills etc. !!! - don't bother, if they just sell your information to other companies.
I am still waiting for the day when all these annoying companies can be stopped for good.
