I have been getting the same message for the last 4 weeks and it tells me its about an insurance claim repayment. I am waiting for one so I have just tried to call it back. I ended up get a message from 101 and then tried putting me through to humberside police. so I hung up

I answered and was told to press option 1, 2 or 5. I pressed 5 which was to process a refund - apparently they are completely legitimate and are contacting people who may have been missold PPI. I decided to hang up as they point out the fact that the call is completely FOC over and over again while on hold so made me suspicious.

So bloody annoying. Atleast they dont call me through the night

been getting these calls for a few months now also from this number 01212100666. you cant just bar them now because the'l just ring you on a new one.. frustrated.

I have been receiving constant call from this number, sometimes 4 or 5 times a day.  It is a nuisance and it must stop immediately.

I have also been receiving calls from 01212100666 which I am pretty sure are the same people.  They are herrassing me!

Had a call from this number today, was an automated message about PPI, press 5 for something and press 9 for something else, i hung up.
Was really annoyed as my number is a new one from Sky, only had it 2 days and it's ex directory. I called Sky to find out how someone could have got my number when I've not given it to anyone yet, and they said they would remove me from their mailing list???!!! . Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Same thing, many calls from this number, up to 4 times a day.  Last night they called at 20.30 when I was putting my baby to sleep.

Anyone had any success in getting them blocked?

keep ring our home number 2-3 times a day, leaves a message but when you try aqnd respond you are unable.

As with a lot of other telephone customers, I constantly get calls from 084 numbers and have already have the 14258 facility, which when used the number comes up as 01616010066. It does not seem to be effective as the companies concerned just use another 084 number to call me. My number was changed recently to try to prevent these calls, but it was a waste of time. I requested the new number was ex-directory, but again seems a waste of time. The people responsible for all this mess and complaints are
OFCOM. What a con OFCOM is ,because they do not accept complaints from private individuals ?. What are they for then, and what do they do to deal with the thousands of consumers that constantly get these calls. Another Government Mess-Up, and we just put up with it. Lobby your MP to get the law changed with regard to these get-rich-quick companies, who are making the paying customers life a misery.

The new law they speak of is actually a Debt relief Order. Does work should you need it, but need to have debts less than 15k and disposable income of less than £50 /month, plus no assets worth over £300.

what i can not understand is why OFCON doesnt do anything about it.

Does your charming advice apply to those people who have opted out several times?  Or the people who try to ring them and can't get an answer?

I have had repeated calls from this number, when i pick up its a dial tone and last few times theyv called my 1471 hasnt registered the call. Pain in the butt!!!
