They keep calling me, it's a real nuisance. I never answer.

Nuisance calls, no message, short rings, and always hangs up when I manage to answer in time.

Forgot to say - I am TPS registered.

They have been trying to ring me all afternoon today, 4 times so far! They hang up as soon as i answer which i find very odd. Will be blocking this number now. I'm also with Vodafone, never been with O2!?

THESE CALLERS ARE RINGING AND SAYING THEY ARE FROM O2 I RANG 02 , AND IT NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM,
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION , THEY WILL CHANGE YOUR PHONE CONTACT AND GIVE A DIFFERENT
DEAL , AND BEFORE YOU KNOW YOUR BILL WILL GO FROM  SMALL AMOUNT A MONTH TO HUNDREDS OF POUND, THEY SAY THEY CAN SAVE YOU MONEY. CALL IT A SIM DEAL , GO ON UNTIL YOU SAY JUST SEND SIM. YOU NEVER GET A SIM OR A CONTACT , BUT SOME HOW THEY GET INTO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT AND CHANGE YOUR BANK DETAIL ,  HALF YOUR MIN S AND ONCE YOUR MINS ARE USED YOU PAY 44P PER MIN,
BUY SAYING YOU AGREED TO THE DEAL VERB CONTACT, PLEASE CONTACT O2  . AND SAY THEY SHOULD LOOK IT TO STOPPING IT.

No, this simply isn't true, I'm not an 02 customer, and if you bother to read many replies, they are also NOT 02 customers. Just out of interest, who do YOU work for???

Really bored of this now - been having calls from this number for over a year.  Asked many times to be removed from their list.

Still they call.....Wednesday 3 times, yesterday 4 times.....maybe it will be 5 today!

It really is about time they were shut down.  How many complaints need to be logged before action is taken?  Someone needs to cut all teh cables going into their miserable office!!

I took the time to check all of the posts in this thread.       Not a single one mentions complaining to anyone other than O2.   So in response to your "How many complaints need to be logged" question all I can say is that posting to  this                      forum does not actually constitute a "Complaint", only a piece of information to help others.

Has anyone got round yet to complaining formally to TPS or to the Information Commissioner?

Thank you very much for this information that has put me on my guard there is also someone phoning and saying they can get rid of nuisance phone calls for a small fee I think it was £1 a day or something like that I think it was a scam.

             These stupid people are just wasting their time annoying people they won't get away with it God will deal with them.

I have just rung this number back, to see who they are and they say they are O2, doing a customer survey - so obviously I told them, on pain of death, not to ring again. I wasn't convince it was O2, so I rang O2 themselves and asked that they check out the number.

Genuine O2 says they are not O2, but are an associated company called Intell. I suggested that they are making an absolute nuisance of themselves with the repeated calls, giving O2 a bad reputation, I even received a call on another phone which had its number moved to another company - Would they like to perhaps put a stop to it and stop them calling themselves O2. She said there was nothing they could do about it.

Best way is when they (Intell) get through, give them a load of Anglo Saxon, then cut the call off.

This is a scam number if you answer it it can cost you a lot of money

I am getting calls up to 4 times a day, seriously getting peedoff

everyday this number appears on my mobile l do not answer it as l checked it out and put it under do not answer as couldnt block it 02 get your act together people have had enough

l have had 4 calls today and had well enough of it

If you're receiving nuisance calls or texts what you can do is you can report the matter to the police or can change your mobile number right away keeping the same SIM card.

not happening when that number is on most of my 2 step verification security around the internet. would be an headache to update about 50 sites lol

further down the line when asked if the o2 live person could remove any sort of marketing/offers from my account he/she said she couldn't do that and offered this web site. http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html

I then left chat because obviously they know its happening & the live person thrown me to the site in question to stop "third party" people calling.

Me too I don't answer if it is not in my "Named List" they can leave a message......if they want

A point I have evidence O2 passed my number before, very strong evidence, suggest you do follow up with them

How else do they get your number? I just got a Pay as yo Go number, no one in this country has it.....errrr
