- GregJust had these guys call me under the name of Lavora Marketing. On the basis they seem to have changed their name over time, not a good sign, this definately sounds dodgy. I am an experienced Google Adwords user and they were promising a fixed position on the first page for the usual 6 keywords etc etc. When I asked how they could do this when other users would be bidding they explained it was because they worked with Google directly and could offer the deal for a limited number of companies.
This all sounds potentially believable to someone who doesn't understand Google and their ethics. As far as I'm aware this is absolutely not an option with Google, in fact if I was paying for a PPC campaign and was not receiving a position I'd bid on because of someone like Lavora I'd be furious. Even Google would not be so blatant to disregard their own operating procedure in this way.
My 'sales person' was Suzanna and her direct number is 0207 345 5163. As this seems to be different to the website number it again sounds as if they are just using freelance sales people to generate business.
AVOID - a kingAVOID like the plague! they tell you lies to get your card number, promising top of teh page status. once they have your number tehy put you on recurring payments which your bank cant cancel. DO NOT USE THEM
- GlenLavora marketing are nothing more than low life scam/con merchants. You go on for 1 months definite agreed trial for £136 & then they tell you you need to give 30 days notice of cancellation meanwhile they've "rolled" you over & use your stored card details without your permission to cream off a 2nd payment of £113 from your account.its despicable fraud.make sure your card provider confirms no more funds can be taken, close accounts if nec. send notice recorded delivery, contact Altrincham Police 01618725050,report to trading standards, watchdog & anyone else who might be able to close this evil setup down.BEST ADVICE DON'T TALK TO THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE ! ! !
- GlenJust a p.s to above.Make sure your bank/credit card company confirms IN WRITING that they will GUARANTEE not to permit any more funds being taken by Lavora from your account on a stopped/replaced/reported lost or stolen card. NATWEST REFUSED TO PUT IT IN WRITING....have closed my account. They said it was between me & Lavora, nothing to do with Natwest ! ! ! UNBELIEVABLE ! ! !
- AlanThey are now targetting the Irish market guaranteeing same crap as in the UK but in Euro's. They rang one of my customers yesterday and when he told them that my company looks after all online work he got arrogant on the phone and said quote "Its your business and you let someone else make decisions for your business" I would not believe it only for I heard it myself..
Anyway a few emails flew over and back between us where he was justifying how professional his comany was. I have just sent him on this link!- Caller: Lavora Marketing
- James GrandAvoid lavora marketing like the plague! Their callous sales people claim they are Google when they telephone spam (i.e. cold call) you, and promise you top rankings. Then they lock you into a repeat payment method you can't get out of.
- Caller: lavora marketing
- robbedthey lock you in to contacts they say u can cancel in the 1st month at anytime but thats not true they wont let u leave they promise u the world to make sure you carry on in to month 2 which is where they trap u. from there they want written cancelations and they say they havent recieved ur letters even when it is recorded delievery they use different names everytime they sign for them! they need to be reported to trading standards and watchdog and the police if need be. they are rude and are robbing people blind everyday for something you can do your self and for a lot cheaper price. the £99 they charge they prob only use £10 -£30 on ur adwords campaign and therefore the rest of ur money is going in the fat bosses pocket!

Not sure about that number but I have had dealings with Lavora Marketing
They indicated that they were from google in the first telephone call Lavora slipped in at a later time. Very pushy claimed we would get about 2000 clicks per month when questioned how many we had had after the trail period (which cost us £149 we were told 33 clicks. They also put the incorrect website address on and told us they would restart the trial. They did restart but our sales or inquiries did not appear to increase at all. They have just taken another £149 off us for the next month and appear not willing to cancel that payment yet. They also said that they would send us the results before the end of the trial period so we could decide if we wanted to stay for the next month that did not happen I wonder why?. I will be reporting them to trading standards and google. I would advise anyone dealing with this company to be very careful. As far as we are concerned it has been £300 ish. down the drain at a time when every penny counts.- Caller: Lavora Marketing
- PhilI took up the 'trial' as a bit of research really (I am a photojournalist)
And cancelled the 'trial' immediately to see if Lavora would react in a professional way..
Today I sent a reminder that they were not to deduct any further payment, I have CCD my card provider the message.
10 minutes later got a call from a 'Sales manager' who was very polite at first but got increasingly irritated when I wouldnt take his offer of a 'reduced fee'. Then he banged the phone down! Very professional!
One of the newspapers I work for is following this saga! Lavora charge my card again at their peril..- Caller: Lavora
- Dan SmithI recently had a call from these guys and too was led to believe they were from Google. "Hi, its Chris from Google just ringing you back because I spoke to you in July and you said that you were not happy with your BT package and would prefer to switch back to google Adwords. The reason why I am calling you Mr Smith is that we can offer you a Google Maps feature on The google site. Its usually £99.00, but today sir I can offer it to you for £49.95" he then told me all the benefits and how much of a great marketing tool it is and as its a 1 off payment it will still be working for me and getting me bussiness in 10 years time.
After agreeing to pay for this, I now realise you can go onto Google and do it yourself FOR FREE!!!, So I did... Needless to say I shall be ringing my credit card company and reversing that payment and blocking any future payments at 8:00am.
Their telesales technique of bamboozling people into believing they are calling from Google is disgusting and the lies that they tell to convince you that this is a great service they are offering are also.
To quote many: "AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!"
Dan- Caller: Google? Lavora?
- JaneJust had 10000th call from this number from the same rude and agressive chap who by the sound of it was desperate to sell something google related to anyone who would be silly enough to listen. He was trying to work the "listen to me you imbecile" sales approach, didnt sound surprised when it didnt work, just got himself wound up when I hanged up. Just a scam thats all, but annoying in its agressiveness

- DAWe have been getting reports from members of a scam by Lavora Marketing Limited tel: 01619242190 who say that they are something to do with the Association of First Aiders offering to get you listed on the front page of Google. They have simply copied the Associations contact database and using it to contact members.
THIS IS A SCAM – Do not do it. - JohnSadly Nick caught me too. Damn him and his smooth talking and my slow brain. Lesson learned - don't ever buy anything on a cold call. Can confirm they're targeting Northern Ireland firms. Still trying to wrestle with them for a refund - I tried to pull the pin just as it was being set up. I've got a block on all further transactions on my card in case they're tempted to try an auto-roll.

- Mr SadIsn't this great? We can all get on here and make some nasty anonymous comments about these people! I came on here to check them out after getting a call from one of their sales guys. He's a salesman! What do you expect? 'Oh hi. I want to tell you about this really crap product'?? From what i've found from my research, they do what they say they will. BUT, it's up to US as consumers to READ THE SMALL PRINT. I'm not going to use them, as it happens cos I've decided I don't need it. Nor, however, am I going to waste my life talking about them ANONYMOUSLY! If you're unhappy about something - why don't you ring them up and discuss it rather than skulking around in here. Oh, and Mr Smith - you sound like an ex employee! Ha ha!

- carlyI worked at lavora for about 4 weeks after being made redundant in my previous job. "Managing Director" Mike is about 26years old, drives a £70k car and is like an over-indulged spoilt brat with a gold digger girlfriend (you've only to look at him to know that's true). He provided the training on how to bully people into buying his scam packages. It is a total sham of a company, hence why I left. I'd feel more at ease working as a traffic warden or debt collector than for this lot. If your not on your phone 100% of the time you get sworn at by 2 dimwits who walk round the sales room telling you to get on the f'ing phone. The top sales people are the ones prepared to mis-sell, but at least mike pats them on the back at the end of the day! Take my advice and never ever deal with this company, you'd be safer giving your money to a monkey!
Also: Mr Sad; your post screams HYPOCRITE!- Caller: lavora
- MikeI just received a call from a rude, pushy salesman on this number, saying that he would put me on page 1 of Google. He was ringing me on my mobile and asked where I was located at that time, I asked him what difference it made and he put the phone down.
- LizThis company just called us pretending to be Google - The man I spoke to was so rude to me & would not allow me to speak - BAD EGGS!!!
