They are a collection agency. You may have taken out a loan with a previous company and defaulted on the payments. This would have then been passed over to 1st Credit to collect payments.

We get an automated call just before 4pm every day on an obscure (non-switchboard) line to the company.  They are asking an ex-employee (he left the company about five years ago) to call them.  We usually just ignore it.

This phone number is from a debt company which means you or your partner or the address you live at has a debt allocated and companies like first direct phone or write letters trying to get you to pay the debt up.  if you say yes, they take a commission from the debt and pay the rest to the original lender (or whoever bought the debt from them)

ignore the call or just ask them to hold and leave them there til they hang up! waste their money and their time... its more satisfying that way!

called from above number from 1st credit. they asked for my dob I refused I told them to put it in writing they claimed I had moved. a lie!I have not. have receive regular monthly statements from them. log the call tell them its being logged and mention harrasment. a criminal offence

They never stop ringing, sometimes they call as private number then others they show their ID, fed up of them ringing. I am going to try the 141 payback time to see how they like it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Debt collectors named 1st credit

I had several phone calls from a number 02031372604, so phoned it, got an automated reply saying that they was phoning on behalf of a client.....no need to call back, good bye! So I hung up. Today I have had a simular phone call, but on my called id the number was 01737237370, exactly the same automated reply but this time it was asking for a name, for them to phone, quote reference..... on 02082530355.
No one has my home number, only family, and when I use a contact number, I use my mobile number. My number is x dirctory, and I owe no debt. Looking at the replys on here, some say it's a debt collection service called 1st credit, this was not the name given, the name 'Connell let', I thought it was a letting agencie. These people should be done as they are nothing more than criminal themselves, but nothing is done, just like clampers!

These t.urds have just phoned me asking for somebody else,so when I told them he doesn`t live here,they said that I was lying!

So I told him to stop ringing my number but he said we will continue to ring until Mr Bloggins comes to the phone,at that point I got my refs whistle and blew down the phone.
Another set of wasters!
Why are these debt collection so crap at their jobs and rude?

THEY rang ME then hung up when I answered, AGAIN. getting sick of the harrassment from these toss-pots....when they write to me I answer every letter...so why do they need to ring me too...they could save a fortune in phonr bills....if they would just listen..FIRST CREDIT..are at the front of the queue in the pain in the [***] stakes.

Just had that number call, didn't answer but they left message for Mr Singh and a number to call back on, no one by that name here, however!!!

If I was trying to get hold of someone I would pretend to ask for another person so that the person I want would call back and say "sorry no one here by that name" then they would ask "who are you" normaly people would tell them and I bet they would say "ah, mr smith we would like to talk to you aswell".

Is this a scam? I don't owe anyone any money at all. Though they asked for a Michael (none at this house) and rang off when I said wrong number, the comments on this page bother me

I keep getting calls from these people.  They asked me today, is that Mr **** ?  I replied, No this is Mr Cheesey Foreskin.

IToday 've so far had nine phone calls from this number and associated numbers 01737 237371 and 01737 228555 (whilst I've actually been sitting at my desk) and it's only 10:38!  They call, and after two rings my phone is set to go to answerphone, so they call back immediately... and then again.  The cycle has repeated about every half hour.

Only one call that time, but just 5 mins or so are the last try!

They are annoying people, I told them I am bankrupt and all my debt was written off but they keep ringing regardless.

just tell them to hang on 1 min and leave your phone on the side beside the washing machine if its on
