Got a message. Dialed 1471 came up with this number. Called and asked who they were and had they been asked to ring me. They said yes. I said no.Very persistant man[ no doubt doing his job!!]
Told them not to ring again. We wait and see.

Just had a call of them reg. my ex who doesnt live here anymore which I told them. The woman said is his new address such and such which I confirmed (Dont know where she got it from but she had his new address). She then said she'll take my number off the list and hung up

old debt caught up with me,basically held my hands up made an arangement now 6 months later,no payments missed first credit keep ringing me asking for more,they also want wage slips and bank statements 2 which i replied NO,am i in my rights not to provide these personal details?? their attitude stinks to be honest!!

called number back, What a bunch of w@nkers keep telling me i owe money but can't give me dates or contracts regarding the debt??? They have my name & mobile so I get texts and call at least 3 times a week.Just a bunch of chancers

Great site! I was wanting to know what this number was as keeps ringing me and when I answer all I hear is what sounds like background noise from a busy office then goes dead. Getting about 1 call per day and same every time I answer!! I stopped answering however I'm getting mad with seeing missed calls from them every day. Jesus!!!!!!

They buy debts from other companies without checking that you actually owe the money in the first place. Bunch of Idoits. LMAO

Yes they are 1st Credit and they are never nice. They are chasing me for 3 paid debts and they just will never give up. I know these debt collectors purchase your debt say £1000 from the original company for maybe £200 as the rest is a tax dodge. The debt company then want the full £1000 which is all fine and dandy but your debt has been written off. This is how the banks constantly make money dodging the tax on the original debt then selling your debt, EVEN debts which are over 6 years old and illegal to collect or debts which have been paid.

Tis all very well saying pay what you owe what about the tax the banks owe?

Don't engage with 1st Credit over the phone get on to the consumer action group who will support you and advise you of your rights.

1st Credit tried bankrupting me over a small debt. I went to court, they didn't show, I won nearly £200 costs and they paid me.

We had a text messsage on our landline for a Corrie Jordon to call a number and give a reference number, this was at 10.30am  yesterdaymorning. Message said from First Credit,  We had another call same day at 2.30pm leaving automated message on our answering machine leaving same message.  They rang same time 10.30am this morning, my husband answered but strange beeping noise.  We are x directory and do not give our number out only to friends etc.  We have never had a problem with cold callers.  The only thing I can think of, and this may be a coincidence, is that we advertised an item in Loot magazine 2 weeks ago, and innocently left our telephone number for prospective buyers to use.

Just had a call from this number. It is First Credit who are a debt collection agency.

basically they were trying to collect money off me for United Utilities (water service). I moved address several months ago and they cocked up their system which meant that they were charging me for a property I no longer lived in. After investigating it with them, they actually owed me money however i told them to write this off.

it is 1st credit they ring and ask for a certain person to get confirmation that the person they are looking for does use that number, they wont stop ringing you because their job revolves around doing the same thing day in day out, they get paid to harrass people, some sad life they live, best to do what i do. save the number and when the phone rings just cut the call off. they stop ringing as often then.

The have called me a few times, i havent answered as i dont knwo the no. They leave a voicemail asking to to press 1, i hang up at this point as they could be anyone. After reading these comments i am glad i have hung up.

I do like Alphaman's idea, i might do this next time im in the office alone!

I received a call from this number on 30th November. When I answered no one spoke.

I have  been absolutely harrassed by these people for a couple of months now - I think it is regarding a disputed United Utilities bill for my old rental property - a bill of £1700 for 6 months water rates. I went to OFWOT and Consumer Council for Water but apparently United Utlilites (who I HATE) have ignored my reasoning and sold the debt on.

The worry for me is they have got my work number, which is in a theatre in the hospital I work in, and used by surgeons etc in emergencies. It is not freely available and I would never give it out.

My colleague rang them back and told them what the line was for and never to ring back which they promised not to do............three weeks later they were ringing it. I AM NOT PAYING THESE LEECHES A PENNY!

This number keeps calling my pay as you go mobile no  and asks for my old name then hangs up!

These people will not leave me alone. My Ex husband who left this property over 2 years ago has debts with them and they are harrassing me continually asking for them. I have given them his new contact details but they still persist. A complaint to OFT is likely to be soon.

Called themselves 1st Credit on one call and Access on another.

i get one at 5:30 am evey morning
