Phoned my house, asking for my visitor, by name, then hung up. Linked my number with my short stay guest some how.

how rude...they ask you for your date of birth but wont tell you what the call is in relation to..
i told them if they wont tell me what its about then im certainly not telling them anything and hung up..
poxy debt collecters, good job im moving...lol

They keep ringing me I don't even know why.............I've stopped answering numbers that I don't know because of them......Now no-one else can get in touch with me...

1st Credit 1st called me a couple of years ago and they said that I owed a company that I had dealt with in the past an amount totaling under £10, this was incorrect, as the company had cashed the cheque for the services rendered to me, (my payment was late, but the cheque was cashed) and the contract was terminated.

I had lots of calls from a robotic sounding voice saying that I should call 1st Credit urgently and a few letters as well, I called them back not knowing what it was about and I gave them all of the details that they needed once they told me that I owed them money, I gave them the cheque number and everything else that they needed to confirm that I had payed what they said I owed in full.

They were not very pleasant, saying they had heard it all before, to which I replied do you really think I would need all of this aggravation over such a small amount of money ?, they also asked me a ton of personal questions which after a point I refused to answer, as they had no need or right to know them.

They said that they would check back with the company about the details that I gave to them and I never heard from them again.. till this week (TWO YEARS LATER !) and now I'm getting letters and phone calls all over again saying that I owe the same amount to the same company.

These people are complete morons, even the company I supposedly owed the money to told me to ignore 1st Credit as they have a bad reputation.

I would advise anyone getting persistent abuse from this company to report them to their local authorities and if you don't owe them anything do not pay them anything.

Calls several times a day asking to speak to my brother. I constantly tell them when to call to speak to him but they ignore it and call barely two hours later.

We just had the same number calling every day last week and when we pick up its just bleeps...... Bloody annoying but i have to say call me early on a sunday and they get what for.......!!!!!

Just got 3 missed calls from these jokers saying they want to speak to Darren 'something' and its the 3rd time I have called them back to tell them this is the wrong number so getting a little pee'd off!

Change of plan: Next time they ring (and I am sure they will) I will answer the call and enter into a payment arrangement on Darrens behalf of 1 pence per month which must be collected from me in cash at a location of my choice. I have made them an offer and if they chose not to accept it, they can take 'Darren' to court when we can all have a good laugh when the calls are played back. PS: This is a business phone so i'm not worried :)

I keep gettings calls from this number saying I owe a company money!!!!!! The debt was payed of some time ago and the company have told me so. I have the recipts to prove this so how do I stop them from calling me?

Just had a call. He asked for my DOB and I said no. He said why? I said the obvious, 'you've called me, asking for my dob and i dont know who you are'. He said he's calling from 1st credit on behalf of United Utilities. I said I have a direct debit set up for them, he said if I give him my DOB he can discuss it with me. I said I'd rather speak to UU, he told me if i do they'll just refer me back to him. I said thats fine, at least I know what'll be about that way. Off to call UU now.

Don't be afraid of these idiots.   What they do is illegal....it is harrassment make no mistake about it.   Record the times and frequency of all calls. Don't be concerened about answering the phone and ask them who they are.   Tell them that it is harrassment and that you are giving them notification that you will report them to the OFT.   State that you want to make a complaint and get them to send their complaints procedure to you. They will probably be bolshy but take no rubbish from them.   They might even hang up, which is why you ask who they are at the start.   BUT DO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THE COMPLAINT TO THE OFT - THEY DO NOT WANT THIS BECAUSE EVERY COMPLAINT GENERATES TIME AND EXPENSE AND EVEN A FINE.Caller ID: 01737237370

These people keep ringing me asking for someone else,but when i ask them to confirm their company name they get rude and refuse to answer question.When I told them I would not give my name until they confirmed thiers they just said "well,obviously I am speaking to ...(name of person they were looking for) and assumed I was that person, when I told them yet again I was not this person they refused to belive me!!! I hung up on them. I am getting these calls constantly. How can I get their number barred?

I callewd them with the 141 prefix. They have brought 2 debts from llyods TSB from 7 yrs ago. Gave them an earful about being statue barred and the fact both had PPI attached which the bank ignored when I had heart attack. Informed them they can try to collect but have no legal way of enforcing debt. They then hung up

Yup it's First Credit – ironically, they're not that bad if you actually do owe them money (I do), but like so many of these companies if they've got a wrong number they assume *you're* lying, because *they* can't possibly be wrong.

Yeah, because someone who racks up loads of bad debt wouldn't dream of giving a wrong number, would they…?

had yet another call from first credit on this number today. i owe them money as have the letters to prove it, but this is where it gets interesting. my wages were delayed due to a clerical error i had less then 24 hours notice. so 4 weeks ago i cancelled the DD as did not want bank charges. was unable to call first credit. i was called around 830am the day after my payment was due and was spoke to by a very rude abrubt women. i paid my instalment but they refused point blank to enter another arangement with me as i had cancled the DD once before they refused to belive people live month to month with money and refuesd to belive my employer delayed my wages. i asked to be transferd to a supervisor as i was un happy with the threats that had been made, contacting my employer affecting my promotion etc. i was told a supervisor would call me back so kept the women talking as i then figured maybe they get commision they eventualy hung up. supervisor called back about an hour latter and again demanded the full ammount saying i should ask family and friends etc and they would give me till 16th to get the money togeather.

They called again today and i offerd to pay xx a fortnight which they were unable to accept as they had been informed of changes to credit file and wanted to kniow what they were. as i had no idea i was told to call a company called Call monitoring but first creddit were unable to give me a number!!

i have had no written correspondance from 1st credit saying my arrangement has defaulted and this all started about 4 weeks ago

These tosspots rang 7 times to day....Silent no one there..So put phone down..Dmins later picked phone back up and didnt have a dial tone all i could hear was a call centre...
Then put fone down again picked it up and it was a person called Sam..Asked me for my details said no...Told me it was an offence not to tell him..These people think there rthe mafia.I think there turds.LOL lets all spam mail box them

Right folks..1st cerdit turds best thing to do is ring them up ask to speak to a manager..You wont be able to speak to a manager so a team leader will take the call....
  Kick off to way past high heaven.....To a point when they say "they will ban your number".....
        Tell them to look into it not ask them tell them..........
 Some one will call you back.....With details of why there calling you.Chances are if your number use to belong to some one else 5years ago and there records not been updated as always..lol....
 They will lean not to jump to things and say were sorry sorry sorry sorry...i did all this turnned out they were chasing some one WHO USE TO HAVE MY NUMBER....USE too.......

Had a couple of calls off this number, both times leaving a message which I checked on 1571 and it was an automated voice saying a reference number.  Anyone else had this?
