I get up to three calls in a day, every two or three days.

This number is claiming to be WE FIND ANY PENSIONS, who are a Chorley-based set of chancers that reckon to find 'lost' pensions - they have phoned me, unbidden, 10 times this month alone.

Well said.  There have also been a lot of warnings about these "unfreeze your pension" and "pension reclaim" calls.  Apparently they are the latest large scale scam now that carbon credits, land banking and rare metals investment have been exposed.  It seems that apart from taking a large fee, they "invest" your money in their own schemes and it disappears.  In addition, if you take money from a frozen pension and do not declare it HMRC come looking for you and want their cut, so if the money has disappeared you are still responsible and have to find it from somewhere to pay HMRC. Of course, these companies do not mention the tax liability. As you say, check out the Government scheme and run a mile from these scammers.

01772643214.  Just has a call from this number - female saying they are 'We Find Any Pension'. Told her I'm registered with TPS & she told me that's alright because she wasn't trying to sell me anything. I told her that I work in pensions & the legitimate pension industry are very aware of 'We Find Any Pension' & that they are currently under investigation. She got quite shirty with me so I told her not to ring my number again. I tried to ring them back, just to hassle them - see how they like it - but kept on hold until I gave up.

You say all they do is offer advice re PPI - why are they NOW called 'We Find Any Pension'?? Sales people working on commission basis - hassling people. If they are as genuine as you say, why do they change their name every couple of months??

I was told it was for pensions! BS if you ask me....Inland Revenue I suspect!

The problem is:-
BT have the means to irradicate scam callers on their network BUT, so many people are going mobile only and ditching BT landlines that the company increasingly depends on income from scam callers.  In other words BT are demonstrating contempt for their customers.
The answer is:-
Join the masses, ditch the landline, go mobile and enjoy all the call blocking options that BT are denying you.
Or:-
If you depend on your land line get on BTs back and give them lots of grief.

They are a cowboy call centre in Chorley, when they have bombarded you with silent calls and when you have explained to them enough that you didn't buy PPI they will start calling you about pensions or accident claims or timeshare or some other rubbish. It's about time the UK authorities closed down some of these timewasters.

It's because they are a call centre, they take on contracts for any dodgy company that doesn't want to waste their  time talking to suckers themselves, they might be calling about tarmacing your driveway next week or about that missing slate on your roof, if you show any interest a more experienced sales person will call from the client to close the deal themselves, the people doing the cold calling are usually fresh from the job centre.

they just called my answerphone at about 2pm today.  They can call my answerphone all they like, this is why I have an answerphone in the first place, to stop these pests taking up my valuable time :)

Was called for the second time in two weeks by this number.  Pleasant person identified herself when asked, as working for WeFindAnyPension.com.  Said the call was not a sales call.  I heard a bit of her script, then stopped her by stating that I am registered with the TPS, and that what she was saying sounded a lot like a build-up to a sale of some sort.

These idiots called me today at about 4pm.  Some female voice who introduced herself after knowing my name and said she was from the pick the right pension company.  I immediately hung up without engaging in any conversation.  I have a facebook site called Ban Cold Calling.  Go to this site, like and lets build up the numbers to get a stop to this unwanted intrusion into out lives.

Complain to the ICO if you get called by them, it's about time a solicitor started a no win no fee group action against these cowboys
