who is this annoying persistent caller ? is there no law against harrassment calls ?

I have just been on these sites looking for car insurance. I forgot to toggle one site to say i did not want calls - so received some follow up calls. Most of the sites do offer you the ability to say no to follow up calls/emails but the button is not always obvious.

Did a comparisson on money supermarket, ticked the box to say i did not want any calls and constantly getting them.

constantly getting calls from this number,no one speaking if i answer. i jjust divert to answer mc immediately now,no message left.

why should public have to suffer this nonsense,if these companies are struggling for business and require to use these poor dismal marketing techniquies they should be ashamed. for this reason alone i wont purchase a product from them . so oppossite effect desired is being achieved.
and yes i used online site to compare quotes,but i didnt see any ares asking for permission to annoy me while i try to earn my wages.

Went on comparison web site for insurance. Ticked box so we don't receive emails or phone calls but have had 4 calls from this number within 2 days.Even after I asked where they got the number from and said I'd ticked the box they still keep calling!

I haven't been on a comparison website and always use my SKYPE number when I do - but I STILL got a missed call from this number on my landline (ex-directory) this morning.  I'd like to know where they got it from. Bloody nuisance.

Checked out this number n this site, and simply added it to my blacklist on my phone - they can't pester me anymore....

They called me... knew they were trying to sell me something before i even answered. So i played them at their own game and said the following... I'm sorry your call cannot be taken at the moment but the person knows you are calling and you call is important to them... you afre in queue position no1 If you would rather contact them via their website please go to www.i'llchewyourfaceoff.com.
Then repeat and put them and queue no2 then 3 etc. they'll soon stop calling.

Yup, 5 MINS after filling a form on vancompare.com they were on the phone!!!

Oddly they only had half the details (just my name, number and that I was looking for van insurance) nothing about my vehicle.

Seems vancompare.com "distribute" your phone number to other people, be wary!

Got a quote from their website 9 days ago, everyday at same time since, my phone lights up and then goes dark again.
They are literally letting it ring once then hang up! SOOOOOOO annoying.

Same situation.. Compared insurance on confused.com and then had around 20 missed calls from the above number in a single day! Wasn't overly happy with this so blocked the number as a nuisance caller.. One of their sales team then decided to work around this by trying me on his personal mobile (07917152935) instead!

When confronted the guy stuttered and said he worked for a company called Value Cover in South Wales.

This number has been persistently phoning both landline and mobile no's for the past 2 weeks.  I don't answer calls from number I don't recognise, but today because I was SO fed up with them keep calling, I answered.

It's Autonet insurance.  My husband recently took out insurance for his van with them and they are trying to sell "Excess protection".  Told them we weren't interested.  She asked if I knew what "Excess protection" is.  I said "I can hazard a guess ........ you want yet more money to offer some sort of protection on the excess he will need to pay on his policy should he have a claim? .. and as I said we're not interested!".  She carried on trying to explain.  I again told her "NOT INTERESTED, please do not call again" and put the phone down.

It was Autonet Insurance Services. Used Go-compare a year ago - now expecting this every year. Just don't answer.
