I can confirm that this is Autonet Insurance/Go Compare. My Dad needed Car Insurance really quickly, so we set up a cheap deal through Go Compare 9With Autonet) We have had unrelenting phonecalls from them ever since. The other number they use is 08000285085. They are a nuisance. Why the hell would we want a better deal, when we've just signed up for a 9 month DD contract for Insurance? This industry is a joke and needs regulating and clearing up now.

When they call and ask to speak to ---------, just ay "Hang on, I'll just go and get them" Then leave the phone off the hook and get on with whatever you were doing. They soon stop if you do that each time.

Cannot seem to get these people to stop calling - any ideas?

I have been using Price comparison sites for my motor insurance and am now getting these calls. If you talk to them they try and cut their quote to get you to buy..  However if you don't want these calls can I suggest you get one of the "free Sims" from any phone provider and then use that number on your comparison sites.

They can ring all day if the sim card is still in its package!

This company are a complete nightmare, do not insure with them.

They cut off after 4 rings or let me answer and put phone down (so I have to ring them back to find out why they're ringing).

I'm registered with the TPS who are absolutely useless.

I have calls everyday 4 times or more at anytime 24/7
I do not answer but they are beginning to be a menace

I have recorded the following on the answer machine - "If you're selling something we don't need it, otherwise please leave a message."
So far they have not spoken!

just been offered a 12 percent discount... wouldnt send me any details so bye bye, compare site leave your number you ll get idoits calling you..... There is a reason why we all shop online so we can see the policy and decide yes or no..

About 10 calls daily. When I rang to them then automat responsed 'nationat insurance' bla bla... Keep calling me every day from about week. Pissing me of!!! Pardon me

Why tell them to "[***]" ? What an ignoramus!

Made the mistake of going on insurance quote sites last year. Now these idiots call me 5 times a day as my renewal up soon. Bloody pests! Don't buy anything from them and they will eventually go bust. Spread the word.

Within 10 minutes of using compare the markets and confused dot com, I have received 2 calls 1 from this number and Elephant ins.  It is quite pathetic if I wanted to use the phone that's what I would have done.

These are con artists, they get data from gocompare etc. then pretend they can offer a better deal. They quoted me around £330 but when I presented my data it jumped to £880. They obviously didn't have my personal details just the quotes I had obtained from Confused and gocompare. Bar them and report them as unsolicited callers.

Ha ha. Looked up this number because of a missed call, read all the comments about comparison sites (yes, I've just been looking for car insurance) and at the bottom is an advert for confused.com trying to sell me car insurance!
