01792211846 called my mobile today 02.04.13 at 4.10pm. I answered but heard only silence. I have had several silent calls recently on my mobile but this is the first time I have taken the number.

If they are calling your mobile Lynne, you should have the facility to Block the number.  I just did! :)

Just got a missed  call from this number, no idea other than the other comments i'm reading, another scam call or cold calling!!!

Why can't something be done about these cretins who are scamming you to return the call, probably on a premium number?

Rings twice then hangs up. Probaly £25 per minute if you call back, avoid!

This number keeps calling and referencing a PPI claim - providing keying options to progress.

Just ignored a call from this number. Government need to do something about these scammers wasting everybody's time.

Second call from this number. Just now and about a week ago. Picked up both but just went dead. Should be banned from using telemarketing to unsolicited numbers, then took out and shot!

I too received a call from this number.  I did not answer as I get these types of calls all the time.

It's another PPI recovery company. Press 5 and you get put through to an operator - they pay for the call. If I'm feeling playfull I string the call out for a bit before asking them to hold on as someone is at the door, then I go and make a cup of tea.

Yep, got a call from this number and from another number yesterday  - 01618149905 -  I never answer unknown callers and have added them as one Contact marked DO NOT ANSWER UNKNOWN to my iPhone.  I can't ban them but won't make the mistake of answering. Will try SayNoTo0870 to see if they can provide more inro as to who is making the cold calls.
