Report a phone call from 01792813115 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Allan Boultot sure about this number but someone has just rang my mother in law from this number under some kind of pretext of giving money away for having been a good customer of the bank.
They of course would need her to supply her bank account number (which she damn well has (no matter how many times we tell her never to give any details of anything over the phone she still goes and flipping does it!))
The company when rang has a very poorly recorded answering machine message stating that it is a company called "UPI" (I think) and asks for the caller to leave a short message with post code, name and telephone number.
I've left a message trying to sound like an old person and just left my name and telephone number, lets see if they get back to me- Caller: UPI (I think)

- GayeUPI called my stepmother regarding bank charges which I am already sorting out for her. How on earth did they get her telephone no? I only wrote to the bank a few days ago and already NPI appear to have all the information, is it the bank who is giving this out. I am extremely concerned about this. Does anyone know how they would have obtained private information about bank accounts?
- SONIAUPI just called me too they gave the company reg number CRN7863 nothing came up on Google
They wanted my bank account number, I hung up! Coward.
He knew my surname and house number
I hate pushy calls like that.- Caller: UPI
- KateThese people cold-called my elderly ma last week. They convinced her that they were her bank, HSBC, and bamboozled her into giving them her debit card numbers. The pack to reclaim bank charges arrived on Friday, and it seems that one can send it back and reclaim the £49.99. I have also informed HSBC Customer Fraud people and will see how we get on. If you Google UPI they are apparently legal and registered, but they also seem to have been involved with a number of previous scams in mobile phone insurance.
- DaveI've been told by my father this same scenerio, but these people knew everything that was on my father's debit card. He got on to his bank straight away and they are investigating this as fraud. The company UPI had asked for the 49 quid to start the bank charges claim.
- Caller: UPI
- AndyThey called our house yesterday (23rd March 2009) and were very persistent and very vague. My Mother In law had a similar call last week and so we were prepared and my wife insisted that we should see something up front from them BEFORE we committed any money and she also pointed out to them that we are not in the habit of giving card details to just anybody. They hung up.

Caller’s Name(Doubtful): Angel Brooks (Spoke in an Indian Accent)
Caller’s Company Number: 186
Pitch: The call lasted over 17 minutes, whilst I strung them along with fake bank account details, to get as much information out of them as possible.
They told me I could claim back bank charges for the last 6 years, including up to 8% interest from my bank.
They mention, a few large corporations, including the office of fare trading and dropped a line in the pitch about an act in association with the banks circa 1998.
This was a well managed and well rehearsed pitch broken down into sections in order to put the VICTIM at ease.
During the pitch at various intervals they asked me for my expiry date, them the start date or issue number. Then to confirm all the details they had on file they then needed my card number. But to reassure me, they reiterated they did not need my sort code or account number.
THIS OBVIUSLY SET ALARM BELLS RINGING.

- JennyI have just been called by this "so called company" on this number 01792813115
These are the details:
Caller name: John Cole (probably fake name had Indian accent)
Address: UPI, Universal House, 213 New Road, Skewen Neath, South Wales, SA10 6EW.
This guy told me he was from UPI and wanted to send me a package so I could claim back for bank charges in the last 6 years. He already had my name and address, I was dubious from the start but when he then started to ask me more confidential details like what banks I was with and do I get regular statements, it was when he asked how my name appears across my bank cards that alarm bells really started ringing !!!. I asked him what his next question would be.....and he told me don't worry I do not ask any confidential questions about your account details!!!!!!At this point I hung up and told everyone I know when I read this here. I can't believe they think they can get away with it. So many scams now going on and people still fall for them because they become really clever at getting your details. Please pass this information on to those you know to stop any fraud scams happening to them.- Caller: UPI: 01792813115
- NickAs above and we put him off by saying we were going to research their website. He was a bit pushy altho' his English was very heavily accented. Best bit is the T&C page where it says that their product is "perishable in nature" and some garbage about written notice of cancellation. Clicking the 'Buy Now' link takes you to a PayPal page and only then does it become clear about the £50 you have to stump up for a bunch of letters and forms which you could easily write yourself. Ask yourself a simple question; when did anyone EVER ring you up out of the blue to help you save or recover money without asking for cash in return?

- bearI rang my dad today (who is 84 and partially deaf) he happened to mention that he had just got off the phone to a foreign person who told him he could get back £1000 in bank charges for him..( even though he has never had any charges from his bank) then it came out that my dad had given this person all of his card details including the security code on the back. Very big alarm bells now ringing.. I went straight to my Dads, and rang this 'so called' company and told them exactly what they could do with their 'so called offer'.. rang his bank and I have now had to close my Dads account. As far as I can tell they havent taken any money yet, but I wont know for definate until tomorrow. It makes me so mad that people like this prey on
elderly and venerable people. my dad is very confused about what has gone on and cant understand why I have had to do this. From further investigation I understand that there have been numerous complaints about this company. I will also be reporting them for what they have done.- Caller: upi uk ltd
- Mike BassetCall on April 10th, (Bank Holiday), approx. 3.00pm telling me that H.S.B.C. were going to refund all my bank charges, credit card charges, loan insurance cost because they realise the pressure their customersd are under because of the credit crunch. They knew that I banked with this bank.
He was not english. He sounded Indian.- Caller: UPI LTD
- paul evansjust had the same call as most of you have. This time he was called John Paul but sounded asian. They tried to get al the details from my card which i refused to give. I asked for something in writing about the claim but he insisted that they were confidential. He then went on to tell me that I would need to pay £50 to get this information, not a chance. I'm not having that you cant find theses so called legal documents somewhere on the internet. you will not believe this but whilst writing these coments they have caled again informing me that they do not need any card details? I told them to sod off and leave me alone!!!!!!
- MalcolmAn interesting 15 min call. First with one person and then passed to supervisor. Told that they are ringing on behalf of MOJ. When dubious, was taken to their website, pointed out link to MOJ site clicked there and then on MOJ site. So if they can link to MOJ site must be pukka. Told at start that these claims are free.
They eventually gave up after 3 attempts at trying to get my Nat West bank details (I refused to give them, not least because I don't bank with Nat West).- Caller: UPI
- andyjust had UPI LTD call me same crap given to me as i write this i am reporting it to naitionwide fraud department and will get watchdog involved.
- JohnThey have also called me about getting money back for bank charges and asked for my credit card details. no mention of the costs involved and needless to say I gave them the wrong details. I have reported this to South Wales police and by the look of it i may not be the first to do so. It is about time the police extracted a digit and acted on these fraudsters as they have all the details
