This one stinks of a scam

This number just rang me and didn't leave a message!!!!!

I had a similair number ring me last week and when I rang back they said did I want to change my phone and I just told them I had a long time left on my contract with O2 and that was it.

I would advise to not even ring them back and if you do answer then hang up as soon as possible. Do not give them any details.

This number rang me saying they were from O2 but there not i rang them back its another mobile phone company fishing for information to find out when your contract is due for renewal so they can get your custom and charge you stupid amounts for your new contract. Do not waste any time on them just tell them to go away.

I received a call from them a while ago to get a new 3 phone, its been brilliant and i must admit, the service has been good, apart from being on hold for 3 1/2 minutes one day.....overall happy with the service, better than o2 anyway!

Rung me twice each week for last 3 weeks but my son found your site on google and warned me not to give details to them.  They need stopping.... how?

My wife's phone is in my name as I set up the contract.  This number called her phone today and a woman referred to her having a two year contract - wrong, it's one year.  When my wife, who was suspicious, said that it wasn't her phone, the woman gave my first name.  It's worrying that scammers can find out even basic information such as this.  When I tried calling the number tonight it was unobtainable / not recognised

Recieved a call from this number saying that they'd noticed my contract was up. After checking what I currently paid on my bill, and telling me what I was now entitled to i.e. £25% off my monthly bill, increased minutes and SMS's and a new phone which I was told was "mint" and that he was on the same contract. I was interested so I said that I'd go ahead with it. He then aske me for my full name and DOB. As I'd recently rang O2 myself recently and forgotten my password, I know that they have all my info, from bill amounts to card numbers to confirm identity. It just seemed really odd that this guy didn't know my DOB let alone my full name. I double checked whether he worked for O2 or a private company. He told me that it was a company that represented the top 5 service providers. I told him that I knew someone who had been stung on a similar deal and would prefer to deal with O2 direct. He tried to convince me by saying that they were a multimillion pound company and that everything was legitimate. I said that I would look at their website but that I wouldn't want to continue at this point. Could be ok, but I'd rather deal with someone reputable.

Yep I've just received a call from this number and they state they are O2 and I'm due an upgrade (my upgrade is not due til march). They tried a couple of months ago too - and I nearly fell for it until they stated I would have to have a different phone no for a couple of days - thats when i got out of them that they were not O2 at all but selling for 3mobile!! Very dodgy dealers

Had 3 calls from this number this morning, ignored them cause i'm at work, and didn't know the number.
Will continue to ignore it from now on.

Unsolicited call despite being on TPS

received a call, left o2 due to their poor recepetion , got a good deal from this company, everything seems ok so far, will keep you posted though.

Had two calls from this number today. First time I didn't pick up, they wrang back and a woman with a very strong welsh accent (explains the swansea area code!) said they were from O2 trying to upgrade my contract (which isn't due to expire until March).

Three calls so far from 01792828102 within a week.
