Just got a call from them, saying they were Mobiles 2 u (I guess). Subject: my O2 contract which was NOT coming to an end (renewed 2 months ago). She just hung up. Where did they get our ph numbers from?

Myself and my wife have both been phoned today from this number. I missed the call and returned it, the man who had an Asian accent just hung up. My wife answered hers and there was no-one there.

called several times- they have left a blank long voice mail message. called back several times no answer

I`ve had several missed calls off this number,glad i missed them now.

The same happened to me. My guess is that this has nothing to do with O2. Though I do use O2 network, I was signed up by Carphonewarehouse. I think that probably the latter may be the leak.

This number just rang me (11.30am), I picked up, heard a voice but couldn't understand it, then they hung up after 2 seconds. So I did what I always do when a strange number rings me and stuck it in Google and was brought straight here.

I am on O2, from the Carphone Warehouse and nowhere near the end of a contract.

Someone rang me last year from a different number claiming to be from O2 also offering me a phone upgrade – Thankfully I asked them to call back and they never did. Now getting calls from this number. Obviously the same scam but they must rotate numbers or something.

Check out the ICO’s website if you think you’ve been scammed or that Carphone Warehouse or O2 have leaked your number to some syndicate.

Told them I had a company mobile and "James" hung-up quicker than hung up quicker than a customer complaints operator.

This is a company called mobiles for you. They are contacting people who have contracts up for renewal with o2. There aim to to take people from there o2 contracts and place them on the Three network. I was recently called and contacted the police. The manager called me back and informed me all about the company! Luckily they cancelled the contract I had mistakenly placed with them as I had got the police involved. I hear others have not been so lucky and in line with the company's T's & C's have not be able to cancel there contract and have had to pay for 2 mobile phone contracts! This company has now called me again after all the hassle they casued last time.

Just been called by them, no message, and this is possibly the 8 time this month

Got a call form that number today - saying that it was about my O2 contract - they said it was coming to an end in March - as it is my contract is coming to an end in october - when I told them this they just hung up the phone.

I had the same number calling me and leaving no msg. I did not call back and after checking this website I'm quite interested to see if they'll be callign again. It is clearly a scam.

I've just had two calls today from this number which I googled and found this site. It is dodgy and I had calls from them about a year ago saying they were from O2 and my contract was up for renewal. I contacted O2 about it and they knew nothing about it. I ensured that my details were not sold on which has obviously made no difference at all. Don't bothering ringing them back, it will cost you money and they still call you.

How cool is this blog.  Great work everyone.  I've also just googled the number and got here and really appreciate the heads up.  Dodgy so and so's.  Not you - them! ;-)

I've got an erricson walkman slimline type thing.  Sure you'll know what that is.  Anyone tell me how I can block this number?  It's not an option in the call list.

I have been getting these scam calls for the past year now – always from different numbers but definitely the same people – mobiles for you

I always ask them to call back but they never do probably afraid of getting caught or something.  

Check out the ICO’s website (Information Commissioner's Office) if you you’ve been scammed or tired of getting these calls. It is clear that they are specifically targeting Carphone Warehouse/O2 customers. These companies have an obligation to protect our numbers as confidential information.

This number called me today , left no message and when ive tried ringing it back, theres no answer or message or anything.

OH LOOK! *Feigns shock* They're both named Willis!  Is it just me who's smelling a rat?

As for John, well, maybe he sets it all up??  

I smell a rat too....The way they type is xactly th same too.  

I thought this company was o2 so why did she leave o2 to be with them??  AND since when exactly did o2 have poor reception??

Let's just wait for mary willis to turn up too.!!
