The company Phoned me on my mobile this morning and claimed to be o2. The next question was: Your contract is coming to an end am I correct? I then said if you where O2 I will call back and upgrade when I'm ready.

The company left the telephone number and I then informed o2. I recommend that everyone here does contact 02 customer service. The form is very quick... I would like this company to be prosecuted for it's lie's and with more people complaining to o2 the better as it has more evidence against the company.

If you are already an o2 customer please call:
Pay Monthly online Customer the number is: 0870 600 3009.
Pay Monthly o2 store customer number is: 0870 241 0202 or 202 from your mobile.

for Pay as you go customers: 08705 678 678 or 202 from your mobile

These numbers can be found on o2's Website: http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCG ... 9,T=Contact_us2

I've done some more research on this company "Mobiles4u"

I've found out that they are a subsiduary of "Clear Contact Marketing Ltd".
Other subsiduaries of "Clear Contact Ltd" are: http://www.clear-contact.com/our_companies

    - Clear Claim
    - Clear Telecoms
    - ASU Claim Back
    - Clear Contact
    - Mobiles 4 U
    - Bling 365

And then I came across the fact that Mobiles 4 u and Clear telecom ltd have the exact same website - Only difference is the name.

    Mobiles 4 u : http://www.mobiles4u.biz/
    Clear Telecom Limited : http://studentsdeals.vanillamobile.co.uk/

Had a few missed calls from these guys so i called pretending to be from Vodafone offering them a better deal on their contracts. They seemed a but confused but said i need to speak to Dean or Joe (The managers) who are not available and i must call back tommorow ;-)

I am registered with TPS also so they abviously dont follow telecom guidelines.

I received a call from 01792 828102 five minutes ago, they put the phone down after I'd said hello twice.  What's the point of phoning if they're not going to talk?  They'll never get new business (legitimate or not)!  Searched for the number on www immediately, glad I did!!  Good website, might get rid of some of the scams.

I've had the same experience as most of you, it bothers me this and I wish someone could put a stop to it!
Whilst moaning (the day after the budget) when are we going to get a chance to vote out Brown?
When it comes time, and he will leave it until the last possible moment don't forget that he has been responcible for all our problems, don't vote Labour and let them get away with it!
Iraq, Gold reserves, Northern Rock, Increased taxes, Petrol surcharge, Congestion charges, Council Rates, Immigration (not a racist thing don't mind but its out of control), Wasted money, The Dome, The Olympics (we didn't need them just to regenerate the east of London, we could have regenerated it without having an excuse), Afganistan, The Lisbon Treaty, not sticking to thier manifesto pledges (voting on the EEC) and loads more.......

We are not talking about the deals they do or the product they sell.
My problem with this company is simply the way they conduct their telephone marketing. The fact that they are contacting people who are on the TPS list is in fact illegal. I work for a major computer company so I know the law on this.
In my case they also stated they are from o2 - which was a lie and illegal.

All I'm saying is beware. This company is already doing pretty good job of destroying their own reputation. Legally or not they are harrasing people and the general public need to be made aware of this.
