Just had a missed call from this number today, and previously had a call from British Gas marketing department tryin to sell me stuff. We have recently had a Virgin phone line installed into our flat (we have had no phone line up until now since we moved in). So how have these companies got our phone number already? We have only given it out to friends and family. When we enquired about getting a Virgin phone line they asked if we wanted to be ex-directory to which we said yes. so i have no idea how these companies have got our number, and why all of a sudden on my day off today, they have started calling?

I recieved about four calls this mornig from this number. it is horribly annoying. when I ask details, they hang up. what should we do about it? i think i will call the police if i get this call agian.

Ok got another call from the same bloke again,and sure he said global and he said whats your name so i said Stacey slater and he said yes thats the name i have, not my name. So then he asked for a telephone number and i said you have rung it i cant remember off hand. Then i said hang on just scruffled the newspaper and said cant remember the number he was getting inpateint by this time and i said you need my address and he said yes so i said 10 night time garden ,YOU FCUKING PRICK but in a different accent and i said do you need me to spell it and he said yes please and i said say the last line he did. And realised and hung up try it.

I've been getting calls from 02030043199 not 98, but guess it is the same company. Only thing is, they  ring and I miss the calls as I am usually out. I have tried to ring it back to find out who they are, but the message I get is 'sorry this service is no longer active' - hmm, wonder what that means, god only knows. Anyway, I got so fed up of it, that I have barred it from ringing me. Haha, I've won...... wonder what message they will get the next time they try and call my number!

Similar irritating scenario... Got 3 calls from them this afternoon, but noticed they had also called on other occasions whilst I was not home. When I picked up, that very rude guy grumbled my first name and when I enquired who he was and why he was calling, he said he was calling on behalf of Money Management, so I suggested that before he gives me money management advice, he should go on a customer service training course first and then call back. They did too...

hving this call several times a day asking for someone else wen i say i am the owner the cheeky sod asks to speak to my parents!!!!! its a company called money management and they ring even when ur on tps. i pointed out that i was on tps to get the response i am not selling u anything. when i pointed out that it applies to surveys too he just hung up. asian person also

this munber called asking for the person the phone was registered too, gave me a name that wasnt mine. was very rude, told me if i wasnt the person the phone was registered to(which i am) he was gonna get me cut off!!
has called htree times so far today!!

extremely rude caller - asked for my son by name, having been told he was not available, he began to speak to me of his reason for call. I told him I was not interested, to which he stated "you get lost" and hung up.

Getting these at work for the past few weeks.  Usually every other day.  Always Asian guy and always asking for Mr P Quick (as opposed to I P Squint?)
Finally talked to him and got the same nonsense about government backed scheme, debt managment etc.  I had told him several times no-one of that name existed, but kept getting the calls.  Getting the number barred by our IT guys.  At least I'm not getting it at home.

This Guy called on 26/11/08 very hard t0 make out the axcent.
but said something about a survey. I have these cals barred. How did he know my name?

This git new our names, My Wife was very frightened.
    We have these calls barred so I think this is illegal.  Who can stop them/

4 Calls this week from them. Government back scheme for reducing debt. Loan I think they mean. They are a PITA

Spoke to a supervisor Shaun and asked to be removed from their list. He said he would. Remains to be seen.

These morons have called me every day for the last 4 weeks. My numbers are registered on the TPS and other agencies and I have complained through these channels but nothing seems to get through to them. It is very very frustrating and I have had 11 calls over the 4 week period where I have asked for my name to be removed from the database but to no avail.

Now when they call, I either hang up stright away or launch into a tirade at them making sure I am rude before they are! The most annoying part of this is the "on bhelaf of the governemnt " chat and you would have thought that would ahve triggered some ofrm of investigation, but to date nothing. What is the point of having rules regarding cold calling if there is no body that will actually do anything about it!

Had a call from this number just now. I said hello and there was a pause, then a voice said hello.  Having worked in the customer service industry i know that there is a call system but calls automatically but if the advisor isnt ready thats when you get that pause.  I suggest you hand up before they get the chance to say anything to you.

Had a call from this number again today, even though we have a call blocker machine! For those who have never heard of a call blocker, it is a machine which answers all calls with a message that no calls are welcome other than friends and family and that the caller will need to press the number 5 to continue.Once you press 5, only then will our phone ring.If you don't press 5, we will never know you called.Superb! This machine stopped almost all annoying calls we had and we never had a silent call again, but it would appear that today, someone was prepared to press 5 and still call us even though the message suggests they don't.

As you can't seem to stop these ar##holes, I decided in the past I may aswell just have fun with them, so who ever they asked for, I would just say "I will just get them for you" and leave the phone off the hook (and see how long I could keep them hanging), or would simply say "speaking" when they asked for a name.If they wish to ignore the call blocker message and start calling us again, I shall  simply continue having fun with them I guess.

I have set up a petition on The 10 Downing Street website calling for a ban on these people and all other call centres based in India making thses nuisance calls.

Had 2 calls around 4.40pm today.

They are added to my phone blacklist so the call didn't get through
Only noticed iot when I checked the call logs tonight

Had 5 calls from these this morning while decorating - managed to break off it time to answer two and told them in no uncertain terms to remove our number as we're ex-directory...
Still had a further 2 calls from them - might just answer and leave it off the hook as suggested next time...

I have been called twice today (Christmas Eve)by Money Manager UK.  Let's just see if I get called tomorrow...!I have paid £35 to get these stopped but to no avail. I definitely think I should give them Gordon Brown's number and then we might get a result!
