Report a phone call from 02030045597 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Not as daft as they think I amSame as other posts here - caller said her was form the TPS. High volume of unweanted calls in my area, they are calling all numbers in that area, etc.
I told him we had no unwanted callers ! That confused him ! I said I was happy enough, and he did not get a chance to offer me anything.
His accent was South London or Essex style Estuary English. Not pushy, but clearly a scam, from what others have said.- Caller: Claims to be TPS, but is not
- Call type: Telemarketer
- jbsTwo "Silent" calls from this number.
- RichardAgain I thank these fools for there phone number now on my blocked list, enjoy my reject message.
TrueCall dose it again and I get peace and these fools don't want to go thought my settings. - Ian bThe same scam as other comments. If you ring the number you are told it doesn't exist which sets all the alarm bells ringing.
On checking the number had called me 7 times in 8 weeks. Don't they realise that one no is the same as 7 nos. bet they don't read these reviews!!!!- Caller: TPS
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Grandad replies to NanI agree, I also stated I was already with PTS, They stated PTS only blocks 10%, Not in my experience. Of course PTS is free, never got around to asking about the cost of their service. I also stated that they were nuisance calls also. Added to my list of DO NOT ANSWER.
- SimonI was telephoned last week from 02030045597 by a lady using a name that sounded like the Telephone Preference Service offering to block national and international nuisance calls by selling me a device to insert in my phone line for £79.95. I said that I receive calls from friends abroad. She said that "friends and family" would not be affected. I said that some of these friends are not declared "friends and family". She said that the device would distinguish between personal callers and call centres "by recognising their IP addresses". At that point, I knowing that a phone line does not use IP addresses, I said I would not be prepared to pay for such a device.
- Caller: similar to Telephone Preference Service
- Call type: Telemarketer
- PaulReceived call today..There was nobody there
- GeorgeTPS is basically a protection racket as they probably instigate the nuisance calls in the first place. Isn't it illegal ?
- Caller: Telephone Protection Service
- Steve.Called just now by Michelle. Wife answered. Michelle asked to speak to me about the landline. Wife said, 'What for? The accounts in my name!' 'OK, I'll call back later....' and put the phone down!
- Caller: TPS
- Call type: Telemarketer
- PaulHad a call from this number claiming to be the TPS asking if I was still getting annoying calls and they could sell me a call blocker box for just £79. Said no thanks I fell for this 3 years ago the box doesn't work and I'll be reporting them to the TPS
- JanI've lost track of the number of times I've had calls from this number. I've never answered it and no message is ever left. I'm not surprised it's a cold caller.
The fact that the number begins 020 makes you think it is a local number unless you realise straight away there is no 7 or 8 before the 300. I have been tempted to answer but never have and never will.
My mother answers all her calls and always listens to the message but her hearing makes it difficult for her to understand what is being said. These people need to be stopped somehow! - JoanI've had numerous calls from this number that I've ignored but today I decided to answer. The script was as contributors above have described. He asked whether I had had calls from companies trying to sell me something. I replied "Yes, just like you're doing. Bye" and put the phone down.

- stan89 year old mum received call from this number. Man offered to block nuisance calls for 60p a day for 3 years. (£99). Asked mum if she had her debit card handy. Directed her to 08719891414 number. Luckily she is a savvy 89 year old and told him to go forth and multiply. She then wrote down the numbers he had rung from and told her to ring. I shall be reporting this scamming b*****d to TPS and Action Fraud.
- Keith replies to Steve U DorsetAlso been called by this bogus telephone protection service, when mentioned that I already have TPS, they cleared down!!
- John TJust had a call from this number , same story as everyone else, 'This is the TPS I understand you have been experiencing a large number of nuisance calls'
I said thanks but no thanks and put the phone down on him but I can image it is a very successful ploy - tricky b...!- Caller: TPS
- Call type: Telemarketer

- meercatchef replies to geordieboyYou are dead right their matey, you have hit the nail on the head. and CPR are no different really although they did send me a call blocker for free but if I report a nuisance call to them I never get an acknowledgement from them. When it comes up for my renewal which is £40.00 I will NOT be renewing. We hope to move house when we come back off our hols in Oct to a totally different area and yet again will register with Virgin as like Im sure you are Ex-Directory and buy a stronger call blocker and only our number will go to family and friends, but yeah these gits will find a way. Just had another call from an unavailable number and because I was so would up I answered it and it was some chap trying to persuade Altzhiemer's (spelt wrong) but I already contribute so he got more than a mouthful ha ah ha.
Good luck with these awful awful calls and we are told that the reason why we pay so much is because (supposedly) every time we complain they go to them and tell them they are breaking the law and can be fined and they have 24 hours to remove our number from their lists, total rubbish so if anyone is thinking of using any company that says they will stop 99% of your unwanted calls they are blatant liars just like all these other plonkers we get phonecalls from.
Cheers - Meercatchef - Hey FazioWhy does the TPS not work? Because of telephone line rental . . . . . all these companies have to pay line rental so the TPS is counter productive to the Great God Profit
Pick up, say "Hang on, someone at the door" - learn Belgian for "I'm sorry I don't speak English", claim to be the local fencing company (although I like to be XXXXXXX gravediggers, or XXXXXXX funeral home, that just shuts people up completely) or my current favourite, ask them to confirm your date of birth and first line of your address
I would say to get caller ID and an answerphone but i know that's an issue for some people, but it is a pretty good way to cut the crap - BobCalls received from this number here on Merseyside. Female recorded voice about Boiler replacement and an instruction to press 2 to get in contact with a sales representative. No human communication at all. The real TPS is a total waste of time. Why cannot the government force BT to do something about this such as taking this number off line, giving everybody the full call blocking service including international and withheld numbers, making sure that caller ID actually shows the real number that is calling you. No, BT makes a profit on this and Government is in hock to big business so no chance
- Call type: Non-profit organization
