Just got a call from this number, congrats you have just won etc. I had the phone down before I found out what I had won

Same number, how dare they. I think we should be able to fine the phone companies for allowing them to ring our homes. We go x directory for a reason. If your bill shows that this number and any other scamming number shows up someone needs to pay "and not the customer".
Won a holdiay press 9, that would be right.

This number 02030265001, called me at 7.25 pm this evening, saying I'd won a Caribean holiday, and to press 9, this is the second time this number has called in about 2 weeks, I'm registered with the TPS, how can I stop the calls?  Thankfully I know to hang up and not press 9 - as I guess that a huge bill would result - but how are these companies allowed to get away with it, there is no warning that the costs are going to be transferred to your bill, you are not agreeing to it, so why do the telephone providers let them get away with it - it's legal/illegal daylight robbery.

02030265001 called twice today - at 16.28 and 20.33. My 'prize' was a Caribbean holiday. Am already registered with TPS - guess have to go all through the process of complaining etc. Such a nuisance.

Had a call last night and today. The answering machine picked up the call. Not happy as I am also ex-directory. The company will be using random dialling.

i get about 3 or 4 pranks a day and it really annoys me, and im x dir. its a fact of life they want our money and the only way any of these companys is to cold call

Fill in your name, address, email etc and the TPS obligingly send all your details to the company that is hassling you in the first place! I don't think I'll bother.

Rang 13/12 at 20.00 and left a message then again on 14/12 at 17.00 leaving a message to press the 9 key to call them back. Probably at some extortionate rate. I wonder what would happen if I picked the phone up when they rang.

"You've won an all inclusive cruise to Cancun".
When I said that I hadn't (knowing there's no such thing as a free lunch) the phone got put down on me.
Tried to ring it back but permanently engaged.

Received a similar "you have won a trip to the Caribbean. Press 9 for further details" call. I hung up and reported then to the TPS.

I would urge anyone who is registered with the TPS to do likewise. It is the best way to get the company behind this scam fined.

These shysters have phoned my 91-year-old father twice in the past two days.   Again, in an American accent 'you have won a Caribbean holiday just dial 9'....  Luckily I have answered the phone each time and just put the phone downand dialled 1471.  It would be easy to trick a naive old man.  They should be prosecuted if this is a scam.

Right, I've looked in to this is some depth and this is what I've found so far:

Offcom inform me that the number 02030265001 was assigned to Simwood ESMS Ltd but they're only the telephone service provider. Simwood tell me the number is not and never has been in service (if you try calling it, it won't work) and the callers are just spoofing the number (fake caller ID).

I've spoken with BT and they've agreed to put a trace on the line to see if they can work out who's really calling but this will only work if it's in the EU and not if it's international. It seems international companies can do whatever the hell they like to British phones. Nice eh?

There's no point complaining to anyone unless you know precisely *who* is calling you. If you complain against Simwood esms, all you do is waste tax payers money. The TPS/ICO/Ofcom/etc will just tell you what Simwood will tell them: 'the number is not in use and someone is spoofing it' / 'it's out of our jurisdiction'.

If on the other hand anyone can find out exactly which company is doing this, then post it here and I urge everyone to raise a ****-storm against them.

Just had a call from these morons with an automated message that we've won a prize...

02030265001 calls and says I won a cruise, press 9, P!ss off!

my landline was only activated yesterday and already they're ringing!!
Saying I've won a cruise or holiday. I am also ex directory!!

Message left saying I had won a luxury cruise. I deleted the message before it could finish as I guessed if you rang it back, it was probably god knows how much a minute and a scam.
If BT are getting lots of complaints about this number they should block it, as its a shame if an elderly person, or a vunerable person, thinks this is genuine and will get ripped off b y calling back. Im supposed to be on a telephone preference service, but quite a few of these types of calls have got through recently.

This number has been ringing me for days now, saying I`ve won an holiday. I just put the phone down and have to wait a minute till I can call out, it`s getting really annoying.
 I`ve also (coincidently hummm) sundenly started getting calls from a variety of other numbers they keep asking for a Mr Price (which is not me), they sound india, the name "Price" is what is makeing me think some company has released my number

Keeps ringing no message left.
