Got the same message today too on my answer-phone, won a holiday, utter crap.

This company keeps calling me how do i stop it

I just got another one today at 17:38, from these sod`s but I`ve noticed that quite a few people on here keep mentioning "BT" I`m with TalkTalk which is a BT line. And I`ve always wondered where they was getting my phone number from, I started getting xalls like this an hour from when my phone line was activated.....I`m x directory and I registered my number on the TPS register because of that, why do I get the felling that BT is doing something it shouldn`t be doing, I.E selling our numbers.

Twice today I have had a call from this company telling me I have won a cruise, they even left me a message on my landline, I have heard in the past that as soon as you press 9 it costs you £10. How can we get them to stop calling us.?

They keep phoning and leaving that stupid message. No such thing as a 'FREE' holiday. We are Ex directory and sick of receiving these messages probably from outside the UK!

My prize appears to be a cruise. Just for the hell of it I pressed 1 rather than 9. This puts you through to the marketing company behind this garbage. Just tell her/him what you would wish to have done to them and pretty soon there won't be an employee prepared to take the verbiage dished out.

What was the name of the marketing company you got through to? Important for the ICO form I would have thought?

Had several calls over the last few days saying "congratulations you have won a cruise" or holiday. They are a nuisance and whatever you do, don't press 9. It will probably cost you a fortune.

As soon as you press 9 it costs you £10 to listen to the message and the company that own this number is Simwood ESMS.

To anyone that keeps getting this call that tells us we have won a Carribean Holiday etc - it costs you £10 if you press button 9 and the company name is Simwood ESMS, although the phone number given is a different one from the one that calls us.

Just now got a call from these people.

If the above info is correct (that it's Simwood SMS that are providing the service for these scammers), then I feel inclined to call them and say "Congratulations!! I've just told one of your customers to 'Go Away'"

Simwood SMS have a Facebook account as well. Guess what? They haven't got many friends. :oP

All inclusive cruise to the Carribean - or some such. Press 9 to claim... Hell no.

If you are with BT you can register it as a nuisance call on 0800 661 441 as the number is left on 1471 so not piggy backing. You can ask for Choose to Refuse which they will let you have free for a month (remember to cancel it or it isn't free after 30 days) but this should stop the predictive dialler continually calling you and you can also stop any other calls you don't want too. Do not press 9 as it will cost you money and it is a scam.

It's one of those recorded message saying "Congratulations, you have won a holiday in !!".  I didn't listen to the rest and hung up. call came from 02030265001

"Hi, you have won a cruise", 18.18 or so on 21/12/10. I am with TPS.

Rerpeated calls and number permanently engaged whe I try to call back

this number called without my knowelege.I hung up on it.

BT don't care - they have their own direct-marketing pests who disregard ex-directory and TPS status, with BT's connivance.
