I just got a phone call from this number saying they were TalkTalk (who I am with) and they asked me a few security questions and then I asked how do I know it is really TalkTalk and the guy (Indian sounding) promptly put the phone down.  I called the number straight back (dialling 141 before it), it rang out once then the line went dead.

It's difficult to report it to TalkTalk as they're all call centre people that you are put through to anyway..

They rang my landline at lunchtime today but I was out. Just been reading all the comments so I've now put a high pitched whistle by the phone so if they ring again I can give them a blast of that.

They ring me at least once a day on landline.  I've stored their number with the name Whistle and I give a blast of my dog whistle whenthey ring.  I've even told them the person they want is dead and they still haven't stopped calling.  I've  never actually asked them what they want tho.

Seems they are varying the approach - but there are 100's of excuses to get peoples details.
'Selina' said she from Talk-Talk, offering a mobile deal. What sort of deal? "I just need some security information before we can proceed" - No! I said "you seem to have a name, number etc. and I know nothing about you - I do not give security data unless I am sure about where it is going". She tried to prove that everything was secure because "the call is being recorded" - as if that proved anything!  I said
"if you are who you say, you have my address - just send details of the deal in writing - thank you - goodbye" - but who was really calling?  -   scammer (likely) or telemarketer (wrong approach)?

This number has been calling me at least twice a day for weeks. Never answer it and they never leave a message. Very frustrating.

Rang my house 4 times today during the day. I finally got to answer the phone this evening. Spoke to a very rude and aggressive men claiming he is calling from Talk Talk about mobile phone deals. he wanted to speak to my husband - Told him he is not at home and to write to us about the deal as we do not accept sales calls. Boy, he flipped and demanded to speak to my husband. I told him he has not right to make demands on my telephone line, I do not care if he is from talk talk or not - we do not ake sales calls. he called back after 2 minutes, telling me we are customners of talk talk and he really want ot speak to hubby. Told him just because we are customers of talk talk, it doesn't give him the right to harass me in my home and telephone line and to stop calling us. Rang talk talk, they do not have a record of a sales call ringing our number...In short, it looks like another new scam...

Very rude lady rang only to hear noise and shouting in the backround. When she asked me to confirm my number that she had just rang me on and what my initial stood for alarm bells started to ring. Surely if she was calling from talk talk then she would know all my details????

After making out I thought this was a dodgy call she laughed.

After I hung up I then rang this number back and spoke to some lady claiming the company name was paparazi saying I would have been contacted reference a competition for a photo shout NOT talk talk who they originally said.

Do not fall for it. I have now logged the call with talk talk and I am going to look into logging the call with the police!

I'm with talktalk and spoke to that about having over 30 missed calls from this number.  They told me to dial 1477 five times after they next called so that talktalk could trace the caller. I was also advised to contact the police and get an incident number so that they could block further calls.  I suggest anyone on talktalk does the same.

Over the last few weeks these calls have gone from 1 or 2 per day to 6-8. Now, I play them at their own game - this depends on your circumstances, but I have business calls go to a mobile and family rarely calls in the daytime, so now I answer the phone, but say nothing, not even hello. It is quite funny to hear them saying "hello", "hello", "hello" until they hang up - hey it's their money not mine. I may be imagining it, but the calls seem to be fewer lately.

This number has called me on numerous occasions but haven't answered as I don't recognise the number. They haven't left a message once. When I rang the number a female voice message said it was a company called Paparazzi! The mind boggles

woke up to a missed call, called back and automated answerphone saying: "Thankyou for calling papparatzi, we are unable to take you call, please call back between 10:30 and 8:30 on weekdays"
seems like a f*cking scam to me! arsehol*s!

Now that so many free PPI claims tools exist such as http://www.which.co.uk/campaigns/personal-fin ... ign/claim-back/ and ex-PPI sellers will be contacting mis-sold PPI victims to compensate them direct the bottom is about to drop out of the PPI claims market. This may mean that they will stop calling soon.
