- JenI have recently been inquiring about car insurance quotes and have received numourous calls from this number. One every hours today, creating a total of 6 calls, and at least five every other day. From information above, it is obviously a claims insurance company, trying to scam people. Number is unobtainable when called back from my mobile or house phone, and I strongly suggest that everyone who deals with this number and receives calls reports it, as i can become very annoying and they are extremely rude.
- LoisThis is getting ridiculous. I've been called 10 times in the past 3 months, and once was during one of my classes. Now they've called me 3 times in 2 days so it's getting more frequent. I never answer because I don't answer any number I don't recognize, but I don't understand how they got my number when hardly anyone has it because I only got my phone 4 months ago.

- MartosGot another call today from these people - they keep asking for someone called Sean, in spite of being told by me that they've got the wrong number. The only Sean I know is Sean the Sheep on telly. Had about 9 calls in the last 2 weeks. Last week it was a female caller with an accent that I thought sounded Indian. She asked for Sean - I told her she'd got the wrong number - she then did the sales pitch about helping me recover up to £1500 if I'd been sold payment protection insurance in the last 10 years. I asked where she was calling from, and she said the name of the company; I asked the same question again and she replied that the company office is in Manchester - I said "where are you personally calling from?", and she replied "South Africa"! Didn't expect that.
I think the best thing to do is follow the advice somebody already gave and just ignore it or terminate the next time the number calls.- Caller: something like Claims Direct

Told them 2 months ago to leave me alone and to remove my mobile number off their systems then calls stopped then again 1 month ago calls started again so two weeks ago told agent AGAIN to remove my number at which they said 'sure of course i will' then hung up! - VampyrAHey today alone i've just had in a space of 1 hr 45 mins 3 calls from these people claiming to be from Claims Advisory Service promising to help me get back payments from mis-sold loan!
i told them 2 MONTHS AGO to leave me alone & remove my number which they said they would do and calls stopped until around 1 month ago when they started calling again so told a foreign speaking agent again to remove my number off their systems as harrassment at which got a response:
'I will make sure that happens' - then hung up!
Made an initial complaint to OFCOM who told me to write to them (that won't work!)- Caller: Claims Advisory Service

Same thing as you othersis they hang up.... ive been ignoring it but now when i ring back on witheld there is someone who waits for you to speak before hanging up. Reckon its some kind of con to do with phonecredit or someit? Whats it all about anyone??? ITS DOING MY HEAD IN NOW ............................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- MartThe reason no one is there when you answer is because they're making more outbound calls than they have people to talk to.
So if there's 10 people in their call centre, they make 20 calls at a time as about half of them don't get answered, so it makes sure their opperatives are always on the phone.
When 11+ people answer, the 11th person is just left with the dead line we are all getting.
What's annoying is that it seems this company are ringing out to about 100 people at once because so many people know to ignore/hang up on the number when it comes up.
They've rung me 9 times since yesterday. I can't understand why this company is still opperating after what seems like 5-6 months of harrassing people.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Dave replies to Mr Mikey BI have dealt with these people. They claimed against my bank for mis-sold payment protection insurance and I was awared £900 as a settlement. They take 33% plus a £150 fee which is usually paid up front but I insisted it be deferred on a no win no fee basis which they agreed to. This meant I only got about £450 out of it but better than a kick in the teeth and I didn't have to do anything other than fill out a form with basically my name on it.
So they're not all bad!
