- JezzyI also recieved a call today from this number asking if I applied for a job with them (I believe she said Cashpoint?). Asked if my email adress is what it is and then told me she will email me directions. Never got any email after that.
I believe that they are just creating mailing list which they will then send to some third party. They are just checking if those adresses are real and being used.- Caller: Cashpoint
- emiliaRecieved a call from this number picked up a guy named "vincent" (indian accent) said i had an interview on monday asked if i was availible i said yes in morning he said nope has to be in afternoon i took a moment and figured out how i would rearrange my day to suit the interview i said sure il make itvwork will you send me via text or email the directions and hes like of course(named some girls name) venessa?? Said she would email it to me as the interview is with her. I waited 20 min no response so i sent a text no response quickly traced the number found this forum amd gave the number a ring sure enough this number could not be connected . If its a scam its a weird one only thing i can think of is they know everything about me from the cv i attached name phone email past employment history thankfully i dont attach references for this very reason at first so basicly can be a pre scam screening process data mining or they take recordings of your voice pass it through a computer applucation and clone your voice for other purposes. Scam for sure. Thankfully i never attach my home address to my cv ever.
- emilia*Update* so i may have been a bit quick at saying it was a scam. I do beleive its a real job but il admit a bit sketchy by using an outbound voip number for contacting potential candidates. They did provide an inbound phone number and have always been very kind and informative about enquiries and possible concearns i had. I def think most of the people commenting are not real or are disgruntled employees whether the infamous stories of Mr. Grovit are fantasic creations or they have truthful merrit i dont feel slandering anyone is appropriate. In time should i have the privilage of meeting Mr. Grovit i will ecperiance it first hand. I must apologize the women who interviewed me was quite kind and always so positive during phone communications her name is Kristina and she seems lovely. My only concearn (which i have voiced already to kristina) is the required self employment for the first month. That in its own seems a bit well.. alarming. I am going into this with an open mind and *hopefully* i will have a good employment experiance. I have alot of skill and aptitude and will work hard and keep my head down as i usually do im not the type to get enthralled in office drama and i find those who do are a bit pathetic and i juat ignore them. *wish me luck*
- MC| 17 repliesAfter over 40 years at Chequepoint and working for Felix Grovit a few weeks ago a guy called Ongarg retired. Everybody in the industry knows Ongarg. He trained many of them. He was one of the earliest Chequepoint employees and not only did he enjoy a lifelong career at Chequepoint, he also raised a family too. There have been quite a few Ongarg's in Felix Grovit company 's and he has created thousands of jobs around the world, including one for a family member of mine. So ive kept in touch.
He doesn't need me to speak for him, he's a success and that's what seems to be eating away at some of you. Whilst you cant even hold down a job he has created thousands. That says it, so sorry guys, some of you just seem to be poor losers. - Really? replies to MC| 1 replyI guess you are one of the people who steal a money from them if you are that much happy with your job and payments? You do not know what you are talking about - their offices and shops look like frozen in 1970s, grovits background is from rural village and they have a mind of village chiefs! You can take out a person from a village but not a village from a person ! They have no respect for employees and try to intimidate them. Only loosers work for them as normal people leave them as soon they find something decent

- DJP| 3 repliesI'm so glad i found this post... here is my glassdoor review of this satanic organisation.....
Well, where do I start with this absolute horror show of an organisation. I started working there after replying to an Ad on Gumtree.com looking for actors. It was basically a role handing out flyers that I thought would last about 6 weeks. when I arrived at the Gloucester road head office I noticed that that it seemed a little dilapidated, but thought due to the Co2 levels in that part of London it made sense. I was interviewed and effectively offered the job straight away. Weirdly, I was introduced to the CEO of the organisation, a man referred to by staff as “Junior” he seemed nice enough, although thought a lot of himself and had an office not dissimilar to Mr. Burns’ from “The Simpsons”. Even though i met him there no mention of wages being received by Cheque payment, no mention of security features in store, no mention of procedures or training plans, or Targets. Nothing.
As the weeks went by I was being tasked with more roles that encompass getting people to use our services by approaching people and asking them if they wanted to change some money. forgot to mention they had me dress up as a beefeater the entire time. yep. I know. As I was relatively good at it and they were losing staff left right and centre they asked me to make the jump over to being a staff member.
This will go down as being one of the worst decisions I have ever made. the staff are actively encouraged to rip people off. there was no commission structure in place for employees to want to make more sales and seriously most of the time staff are told "if it's quiet read a book or go on YouTube" I kid you not!
Now some of you might think this is a laugh and easy, trust me it’s not. I was made to carry upwards of £50,000 cash around London and sometimes as far up as the branch in Oxford with no protection or instruction of what to do if something goes wrong. The company then asked if it would be okay if I did some night shifts on a 2 week rolling rota I said that it wouldn't be a problem as I'd always been interested in that, and it was more money! within a week this turned into me having being placed on nightshift for everyone of my shifts. as you can imagine being stuck in the Wardour street office round the corner from Leicester square and opposite a pub every Friday and Saturday night does wonders for your social life. I had been verbally and physically assaulted on shift and people had attempted to break through the “bulletproof” glass by throwing the A-Board at the booth’s window.
The whole thing of if your till was under by £5.00 is true, but if you work out your mistakes along the way you can certainly make up the difference as you go. one such night I was working and a customer approached my booth. he said that the bank had locked his card as he had entered the pin too many times incorrectly, he sounded American and like a normal tourist, he handed me the bank card and his ID which I took copies of. I then rang his bank to ask them if the funds existed in his account in order for it to be withdrawn. the bank CONFIRMED that he had the funds in his account and that if I typed the code in he would be able to have the funds released. this happened probably 3/4 times totalling about £2.5k I thought I was going to make the most amount of commission in a single night shift. I was then pulled in for a meeting to be told that the "customer " didn't have the funds in his account and that I was under investigation for fraudulent activity. this is the point where the police came into the room and arrested me for "suspicion of fraudulent activity" and I was taken to Notting hill police station. I was placed in a cell for 7 hours whilst a DCI from Westminster police station was asked to report to the station I was being held at as this is where the alleged offence took place. the officer arrived and said the company were saying they had CCTV footage of the offence taking place but after waiting for this to arrive the film was apparently "turned off when the customer arrived at the desk". it is my belief that there was no such CCTV and the company needed to say anything to back themselves up. the DCI said "I don't believe you have done anything malicious and you did everything the company had trained you to do”. I was then released with no further action being taken.
To this date I have received no further correspondence with Chequepoint as an organisation or with any member of the management team. I have had no apology or admittance of any over reaction from them as an organisation and it has only taken me this long to talk about it as I wasn't aware that a website like this existed, Although I have no criminal record because of it, whenever an enhanced CRB is done on myself it will always show that I was arrested on suspicion of fraud. as such companies have turned me down for work because of it and it has generally made trying to find work since hellish. This company leap to accusations when it comes to staff and never have your best interests at heart whether you are a customer or an employee. Do not be fooled by this organisation and learn from my mistakes. They should be shut down immediately.

Advice to Management
Stop Blaming the staff for everything an listen to them, failing that call the police and get the owner arrested for defrauding people out of their wages by issuing Cheques like its 1974 and then CHARGING employees to cash their cheque!
