I have been to the Deveres presentation and would really like to hear form anyone who works/worked for them. I was due to go to a second meeting with their offshore recruitment company but have put this on hold based on the huge amount of negative press I have seen .

Surely they cant be that bad?If so how are they still trading globally?

They are still trading globally because (a) there are still plenty of suckers out there who don't bother checking them out and/or who refuse to believe negative press and (b) they fall beneath the radar of the national authorities, as they're a foreign company employing foreign nationals and selling to foreign clients.

you'll be using boiler-room sales techniques to persuade clients into commission-heavy investments. you'll get to keep some of the commission. no need for financial qualifications, but they look good for the company and the clients ;)

Im supposed to be starting with deVere in the next few months and just want to know one thing... Will I make money? Sure, clients might get ripped off, but will I get f***ed over as well??

all of this sound like hard work and i have expereince and am willing to work hard. but you guys are saying that you have to pay for your flights and acomondation but as far as Deveere told me that they pay half of your flight and half of your accomondation. please can someone who worked for them e-mail me and give me some info on that. as i might be going to Dubai in the next few weeks but want to know for sure if i should make the move or not. my e-mail reyman8@hotmail.co.uk

Hello, A few posters have asked but no solid answer so can anyone confirm is they actually pay the £1500 a month that they are now offering ? Or is this a scam aswell ie do they claim that 'office expenses' have come to over £1500 leaving you with nothing ?

I love this so many new people come to this forum, ask the same questions and don't believe the answers.

DVP is cleaning up it's act by all accounts but still all I hear from so many people that the names come and go at the same alarming rate.

The guys that I know that survive are generally first rate [***] and care nothing about their clients and have little if any professional knowledge.

If that is you, Mr Billy [***] then go stuff it up a clients jumper, a phrase that Mr NG made at my induction back in 2007 and it appears that remains the same.

This i a sort of pyramid structure .. the only ones who make MONEY are the bosses .. if they tell you u earn only 1.5% of the total commission you do , how u think to make any money .. lets say u sell invest in 1 Fund ,, 1mm GBP ... lets admit total commission that Devere groupo makes is around 1.5-2% that year .. thats means 20 000 gbp for devere group .. but u will just get 300 gbp!!!!  So. to get a salary of 1500 pounds u need to sell like funds for 5mm gbp every single month to private individuals .. 60 MILLION GBO a year!! just to make 1500 per month !!!!! WAKE UP !!!!!!!!!!

Without being rude GG your maths are way out you can earn a lot of money but of course DVP or any other IFA earns more both whilst you are there and after you have gone.

Devere recently lost a legal action in the US against the operators of the PissedConsumer complaints board, where there are multiple complaints and comments about Devere.

Thanks for the 'International Advisor' Link .... I think that web site is a bit of a comic really. They have a very cosey relationship with Devere which is 'odd'.They report all Devere press releases,it is always very complimentary by nature.Do Devere pay for these to be press releases to be reported on that web site , or are they maybe shareholders ? It is like their own 'back slapping' 'Hi 5' 'Didn't we do well?' site.I don't trust it at all !!

Devere are out & out scammers, I know because I worked for them for years. They hate it when someone leaves their fold because they lose revenues from that person. I did it but there were times when I could have walked, eventually I did but on my terms. They are the biggest stitch up merchants I have ever come across. I know of 2 Managers that have been locked up for over 6 months for working a boiler room scam. They will run you out of money and make you dependent on them, brain wash you into reading a script parrot fashion. You will build them a database of new names that they steal from you. They are convicted criminals who sell their own crappy funds that go backwards.

Be warned.. Do yourself a favor, go find a real company to work for there are a few around.. There are also copy cat Devere companies...
