Do not deal with this company. LFM are running a scam. I attended a shoot with my daughter on 14 January.  Gladly enough I was wary about it all from the beginning and after attending the so called studio I knew there was something not right. They told me my daughter was amazing and would get lots of work and in return wanted me to sign up for a webfolio that would cost a minimum of £2500!!!! I told them not going to happen and luckily enough I was right not to. Since found this thread of very similar stories. I have still not had my refundable £50 deposit back but currently have my credit card comiany involved and is likely that I will get this refunded via them. Other people haven't been so lucky and I just wanted to give you my experience. Stay clear.

Hi there , me and my partner been in kube studio, they sent a letter saying they send us to debt collection agency . What if we never pay for it what would be happen , we've seen them on watchdog . My suspicios was clear about them .they take a money and ripped money from lots of people .

Please help us .. we can't afford to pay £1500 for crap pictures .. and it was under pressured deal and it's very over priced. You even can't cancelled it . That's really unfair

Did you sign a contract with them? They won't take you to a debt collection agency if they are a dodgy company, they wouldn't chance it!

Yes we signed a contract .. the ladies who spoken to us said you better make a decision   now or else we will delete your photos.  it's a pressured selling and there's no cancellation . And when the time we seen them on watchdog it feel us bad.

They took 350 now from us .. and we think don't happen again .over price portfolio cost £1500 and it's useless..

I would cancel your direct payments with them and change your card! Just tell the bank that you've been scammed (if they have taken the money already) and the should be able to help you.

I didn't get all my money back because I was stupid enough to do online banking and I transferred it to them. But the money they toke directly out of my bank I was able to get back.

Does anyone get the money back? Anyone of you went to the County Court?

So interesting reading this thread.....  the tel. no. they are using is 02038130451/02030265370.  I have paid my £50 deposit and was told it would be refunded when we turn up at the shoot, which by the way is this Friday, 17th February at 41 oxford Street and the name of the Company they are using now is London fashion models.  When I received the welcome pack the terms and conditions are not what was said over the phone.  The £50 deposit is refundable if you don't pass their assessment and if you do it is offset against purchases...   I looked up who the Company directors were -    Kelsie Mary Irving, which has led me to this thread...  I can't claim the deposit back thru my credit card company because they will have provided the service ie photography but I can obviously cancel my credit card so they can't put any further charges through because  If I don't turn up on Friday they will charge me an extra £150 because I should have let them know five days before the shoot that I couldn't come.  Only got t&c's stating this today as wasn't told on phone when booked on Thursday for this coming Friday, so not actually possible!   I have emailed them this evening to confirm their original statement regarding refunding of deposit, plus they also booked my son in for a different time to the one we agreed.  Don't think I'll get a reply though!

All studios charge a £50 refundable fee to stop time wasters as they have to hire creative staff.

Best thing is just cancel your booking and be respectful give the studio notice you changed your mind.

You've only booked yourself / childeren into a photo shoot / no big deal

Everyone has a change of heart . Call them back , ask for your deposit £50 back , it's only pictures they try and sell not arms!!!!!

Professional company would not behave like this or converse on site like this. total con men . One up from the beggars playing card cash chase on the streets out side !

These model company's don't knock on your door and force you to hand over your cash. Not all but most want the fame and the big ticket to earning shed loads of money. All companies have a need to make money, including Tescos and Virgin.
Ask your self why did I just pay the £50? why am I going to pay more once I arrive?
When you go on holiday you pay a deposit for the booking, when you go and don't enjoy yourself do you then tell everyone don't book with xyz they rip you off, when all along its another factor, the hotel, the food, weather..........
These model people can not guarantee work for everyone, it's impossible they will put you forward but they don't select at the end of the day.
I recruit and can see 30-40 people for one role, I can't take them all, they move on and look elsewhere. The next role needs someone different so we go again.
I would not say you are being ripped off you applied, paid your money and hope to get your chance.
The one that I do not understand in parents putting their children through this and when not selected, going mad, their is a lot of competition for youth postions, don't stop and moan carry on and prove they are good enough.
You have the images from your shoot it won't be handed to you on a plate,msorry to say, prove them wrong......
No doubt I will get the hate replies, maybe a nerve touched. I am not in the industry and came across this as a friend asked for advice as she had applied and spent money purchasing her images.

I seen through the nonsense they were telling me and told them I wasn't signing up for anything further. Their terms and conditions state that you get the refund back even if you decide not to purchase anything further or put it towards your portfolio if you do. My daughter passed their requirements and they told me she was Amazing, didn't want to loose her etc, blah blah blah! I have still never received a response to emails, calls etc. It is now with my credit card co who says they will be refunding me. DO NOT USE this company. They use a different tel number everytime they contact you, 100% fake, disgusting company, can't believe they are still going and that nobody has gone back to the so called studio to give them all a good hiding!!

This isn't the point. People on here have payed for the portfolios and website which would of been over 2,000 pounds and never got anything!
