I just had a call from this number who claimed to be from the FSA and told me that if i had taken out any credit cards in the last 5 years i could be able to claim back any interest i paid.  It was a London number so i answered it thinking it was work.  I told her i didn't feel comfortable talking to her about such private information and hung up.

I had filled in information on GoCompare and COnfused.com and since then have received several calls of this nature.  DO NOT FILL OUT EMAIL OR PHONE DETIALS  ON THESE SITES.

i too am getting calls from this number constantly, someone spoke to my son the other day so i took phone off him and said no thanks, still calling tho!! i went on several insurance comparision sites, if telling them to not call again doesn't work what are the alternatives?

Had 6 or more calls from this number today after visiting a price comparison site. Each time there was silence, i.e. no-on to complain to! I tried ringing back the number and a recorded message told me that the company is 'The Claims Guys' based in Altrincham, even though the number is for inner London. I was held in a queue for over 10 mins and eventually gave up. I found their website 'www.theclaimsguys.co.uk', found a freephone number on there 08000 8 222 00, called that and after selecting '5'for other query, I was put through to someone. I calmly and patiently explained that I was very unhappy at receiving these calls, especially when there was no-one on the line and would they please remove my number from their database immediately. I gave them my number & postcode, told them that I was recording the conversation 'for evidence purposes' and that if they did not desist I would report them to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO - telephone number: 01625 545745) and the TPS to which I am subscribed. Happily, the calls have now stopped. Best of luck, Keith

i had call from this number after using comparison websites  for home insurance. i had a tick box to opt out of contact by phone,email or post and i made sure it was unticked ,looks like they ignored my request

They called me few times. I picked up. They knew my full name and then asked if I had credit cards or outstanding loans. I requested information about where they have my number from. The guy said that I must have ticked that I wanted to get offers from third party on one of the websites. Well, I am very, very careful not to as it drives me nuts to get marketing mumbo jumbo over the phone, so the guy lied like crazy. Then I asked them to remove my number from their database and never call me back. You know what? The guy then asked me: 'Do you have any credit cards or outstanding loans? We can help!' Unbelivable!
Yet again I asked for my number to be removed and he just hung up.
Did anyone catch company's name?
I'd love to make a compaint

just had a call, but an hour before I have sent a quote about a hen party abroad to one of london companies.I was expect a call back from them :) and what I have? STRANGE

i wish these cnts would stop phoning me im going mental,who are these scumbags

I have used insurance comparison sites BUT I deliberately gave them a wrong mobile number (oops, sorry, am I dyslexic!)
The only company to have the CORRECT mobile number is the company I am actually insured with, Aviva.  Therefore it MUST be Aviva who have passed my details on, I will be writing to their data protection manager... watch this space...

everyday i have a missed call from this number

This number has now called me at least twice, they were just fishing for business.  I bet they probably got my number after I did an on-line insurance price check.  It seems an unpleasant side affect of using the internet to carry out price checking, wish it could be stopped.  If any one can tell me how I can stop these unsolicited calls I would be very grateful.

I have received several calls from this number in the last week or so, they are 'The Claims Guys' trying to sell their product.  I phoned them back after a few missed calls, and asked them to remove my number from their call list, she did it whilst on the phone.  

I think they do get their numbers from comparison sites though, as was using them a few weeks ago for house insurance!!

received a call from this number this morning,i answered it said hello a few times then they hung up but i could here some human noise in the back ground i'm sure.

Missed call on my mobile. Can only think they got my number from a windscreen claim I have just made. Rang back and got a recorded message and held for about 4 mins. Line then go dead. Will be contacting my Insurance Company to complain and will move my insurance at the earliest possible op. What a wast of my thime !

I work at night and I cannot mute my home phone due to elderly parents living away... It's not fair that I have to get awaken almost everyday for junk phone calls!!!

I phoned in today and ask to get they company address because I wanted to take this case to court.
Should we do so? would be fun to take a claim company for a claim? I always make in sure that I tick the box where it say" please this this box if you do not wish to be contacted by selected company about services you might interested". But some still sell your data anyway
