got the same message - had a few over the years, I never reply.  Missus not too chuffed either.  How do you stop them? I don't want to reply in case they charge me loads. I am on Vodafone.

Sad to say I was snooping on my husband (he has exchanged dirty texts with girls on these porn services before) and found the message:

I'm sure they have his number because he has used these types of services before, but I'm glad to find that it is advertising and he isn't really calling some sl*t while he is at work!

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...

Lots of these scams around, sending messages to random mobiles, but helpfully leaving a landline number. You call back and you may find you get a sexy call with some lady who's not really wearing her negligee in the bedroom but is probably dressed like Vicky Pollard sat in a warehouse full of others doing the same.

Then you start to get calls from a company saying you owe them for the call, it wasn't free after all. They have the number that called from their call log, or 1471. They can prove that you called at such a time and spent x minutes on the line. They threaten to keep calling you until you pay.

Be assured that calls to a 0208 number are only charged at normal rates, they cannot hide a premium rate call behind a normal number. But if you do call, be warned what may happen if you are that daft.

This must be about the fourth one of these i've had this year. There must be some way of finding out who they are and getting them to stop?

fairly obviously its spam. 2nd type of text like this ive had

if you arrived at this page by googling the number like me then just delete the message.

As long as I'm not being charged to receive these messages I don't see any reason to hate them. They're not annoying. Just delete it. Takes 2 seconds. Also puts a smile on my face.

I had the same message on 7.01.08 at 12:30, do you know who you can complain to. I work in a telco and think this is truly unacceptable!!!!
