This number rang me today, claiming to be from the Health and Wellness Centre.  Said they were doing a health survey in my area and wanted me to answer questions about my health.  I was concerned as I had no proof that they were who they said they were and refused to answer any questions. I also wondered where they had obtained my phone number as it is ex-directory.

I have been experiencing the same calls asking if i wanted to buy a years supply of pomegranite tablets. I said that my and my partner were both lawyers (which we are) this got them to hung up immediately. two weeks later iam at my mothers house and the phone rings my mother being mostly deaf doesn't hear it. I answer and who's on the other end Wellness center they asked if they could to speak with Mr Western. I told them that he had passed away four day prior, due to arthritis and the cheek of the person  on the other end said if she bought the pomegranate pills she could be alive still. I slammed the phone fuming these people are sick minded and should be prosecuted for praying on the ill and old for money.

Bogus NHS Credit Cards Calls: Just Hang Up

    April 30, 2010 1:57 PM

Kent Trading Standards have received reports of bogus callers telephoning consumers pretending to be from a local GP surgery.

The caller gives the impression they are from the NHS and asks what medication the consumer is taking. In one incident the caller persuaded the consumer they would benefit from taking Pomegranate tablets, they took credit card details and debited £179.50 from the account.

A victim's son traced the call back to a company based in India. No NHS health professional would ever ask for a patient's credit card details over the phone.

Kent Trading Standards are warning consumers to be very wary of anyone cold calling and requesting credit or debit card details. If you are in any doubt at all end the call. In your home, on your phone, you are in control - hang up.

Please contact Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 or go to www.consumerdirect.gov.uk if you need further advice on your consumer rights, or you want to report any businesses or incidents you have concerns about.

Insolvency Service Data replies to Credit Card Scam Alert
    http://insolvency.presscentre.com/Press-Relea ... nies-65662.aspx

Twenty-seven companies involved in the mis-selling of health supplements have been wound up in the High Court following an investigation by Company Investigations of the Insolvency Service.

The investigation found that all of the companies (see list below) had their registered offices in the County Durham area but traded internationally, mainly from locations in Barcelona and Malta by placing "Free Trial Offers" for health supplements on numerous websites.

Customers responding to a "Free Trial Offer" supplied their payment card details believing that only a small charge to cover postage and packaging (typically £3.95) was required.  However, if the customer  failed to cancel the “Free Trial Offer” within the cancellation period (usually 15 days) they were deemed to have agreed to an ongoing supply of the product from the companies, at a cost of around £70 to £80 each month.

    Commenting on the case, Stephen Speed, Chief Executive of The Insolvency Service said;
"The Insolvency Service is determined to come down hard on companies who seek to rip off the public by mis-selling products.  I urge all consumers to be vigilant when it comes to ‘free trial offers’, and remember if it looks to good to be true, it often is."

Analysis of the available records for just seven of the companies found that they had turnover in excess of $19 million in the period August 2009 to March 2010 which was processed through merchant accounts based in Germany.

The products offered by the companies included Acai Berry Detox, Acai Power, Effective Acai, Acai Detox, Absolute Acai, Colon Cleanse Fresh, Colon Purify, Life Cleanse, Resveratrol, Resvmax, Miraculous Teeth Whitening, PureClean Teeth, Dermasensation and Dermainfuse.

The investigation found that there was a serious lack of transparency as to who controlled the companies with the named directors being otherwise unconnected individuals residing in the Consett area of County Durham. Those spoken to by the investigators said they knew nothing about the affairs of the company of which they were the only director and said their only  task was to forward any post received for the companies to a local formation agent, Brinken Merchant Incorporations Limited. Each had been approached to act as a director by Brinken who paid them around £150 a year.

However, the Court heard that 25 of the companies were found to be under the common control of Local Billing Solutions Limited ("Local Billing"), a company registered in Malta. Local Billing maintained throughout the inquiry that it acted only as a payment processor and that the beneficial interest in the companies belonged to Canonizado International, a company said to be registered in Panama, of which the investigators could find no trace. On the documents available, the investigation established that the beneficiaries of the companies’ trading were most likely to be Local Billing and its principal Clayton Douglass.

Grounds for winding up the companies included,

    ·   The websites used by the companies misled customers into believing that the trial offer was risk free and limited in nature,

    ·    The terms and conditions of the offer were designed to confuse the customer and were not provided in any durable medium,

    ·   The length of the trial offer was not made clear.  Customers were provided with a 30-day supply of the product, but had, typically, only 12 days from receipt of the product in which to cancel any future supply,

    ·        The companies abused the privilege of trading through a limited company by effectively continuing the same method of operating as that used by Trading Planet Limited, Viv3lab Limited and Vivera Limited.

Those three companies having previously been wound up by the Court in the public interest.
The winding up orders were all made on 26 August 2010.

Winding up petitions were presented on 21 June 2010 against:-
LB Belvedere Limited, LB Cygnus Media Limited, LB Deluxepass Limited, LB Eridanus Entertainment Limited, LB Evil Angel Limited, LB Friendfinder Limited, LB Global Web Solutions Limited, LB Internet Media Productions Limited, LB Ilogic Solutions Limited

Winding up petitions were presented on 22 June 2010 against:-
LB LFP Internet Limited, LB Lyra Entertainment Limited, LB Nomad Media Limited, LB Pegasus Media Limited, LB Price Communications Limited, LB RSC Limited, LB Southint Prop Limited, LB Watt Media Limited

Winding up petitions against the following companies were presented on 23 June 2010 and on 25 June 2010 the Official Receiver was appointed as Provisional Liquidator of the companies:-

LB Carsed Marketing Limited, LB Nakedsword Limited, LB Cassiopeia Media Limited, LB Cybernet Entertainment Limited, LB RHS Limited, LB Pride Studios Limited, Intercontinental Consignment Logistics Limited and Gillmap Limited Petitions to wind up Fyso-UK Limited and H5-UK Limited were presented on

    13 July 2010.

    Dear All,

Due to an internal review of processes that has been spanning the past 3 months and the broadcast on Radio 4 today we have terminated the Head of Sales, Mahesh Matta, with immediate effect.

Mahesh Matta was autonomous and solely responsible for the call centre operations and we believe that his removal will allow us to move forward positively.

Despite what may be believed on here we are a reputable company with a significant amount of satisfied customers.

We look forward to ringing in these changes with a fresh start.  Don’t forget, the easiest route for dispute resolution is to email complaints@sandawellbeing.com

    Kind regards

Yes we can't let Ajit Patel carry the can as the Managing Director and owner of Natural Wellness Products Ltd now can we? Nice scam, keep up the scamming and feigning innocence. You are all common criminals. 45 pages of complaints spanning years and the Goldshield NHS scam carry more weight than your words ever can. Empty promises, repeated over and over. Nothing will change until the entire criminal operation is disbanded in the UK and India and all the perpetrators are put on trial for fraud.

Don’t forget, as you heard on Radio 4, the easiest route for dispute resolution is to contact the BBC.

Like the listener who wrote in, you will receive an immediate refund.

Media savvy is Scam savvy :-)

Unfortunately my 81 year old mother has fallen victim to this scam, started about a year ago and, because she has memory loss and confusion, I have only just found about it.  They've sold her some stuff to apply to her legs and surprise surprise it is Sanda Wellness or whatever it is they are calling themselves. Mother is usually pretty good on not giving info out on the phone to strangers and very often puts the phone down on them.  Well just recently she did exactly that, refused to buy something and the bloke rung again straight away so mother gave in to get rid of him. It's strange because my brother controls her finances, mother doesn't possess any credit or debit cards and I can only think they have her details from when she ordered before he took over her finances. Well my brother can be a nasty piece of work and if you cross him you'll know about it so I've decided to let him deal with the complaint. God help them!

My sister who has now sadly passed away was pestered by this so called wellness company they extracted from her £ 3 885.23p in a period from 14th November 2 011 to 1st November 2 012.  She was a retired midwife of limited means, had been bedridden since early 2 011, these caring people said that they could improve the quality of life.  She never realised that it was to be theirs.    The largest invoice that was taken from her account was one for £ 899.59p, this was sandwiched in between two other invoices for £ 499.00p.    It caused her to become overdrawn with no saving or back up funds.  The bank froze her account, we were in the process of trying to get her financially stable as she was in 2 011, but she suffered a stroke in November last year and was hospitalised until her death in February this year.  Whereas you could not prove that this Company were directly involved in her health demise you can apportion blame for her financial distress.   I hope that all of these people who sit on telephones extracting money from vulnerable old people can sleep easy in their beds and I wish them that one day that their elderly relations are treated in the same way that they treated my sister.

She state she was from Lifestyles at home in Buckinghamshire and then she stated it was My Well Being Centre.

When I rang the number there was an answer phone with an Indian accent.

I received a call from an Indian fella and then was I was put through to another Indian person (woman) Lara Jones. She said that she was affiliated to Age Concern and her company was based in Milton Keynes. She had my personal details such as name, age, address and postcode. She was selling Rose X, for rheumatoid arthritis and joint pains -she advised that I should 'stop taking my prescribed medication' and stated that she worked for "Your Lifestyle". She requested £17.99 (reduced from £37 00). She wanted my pension number and bank card details. Once I said that I did not have an account she became annoyed saying that she had spent 45mins on the call and hung-up!!

Fortunately , unearthing scams has been my forte and that too scams leading to us vulnerable.

My visit to India and back has been insightful with many documentary evidence to nail such scams, i have been assured of more evidence once i reach India post Christmas, one such scami is mentioned below,

This is regarding the Company named “Sanda Wellness” which is into health supplements related to various health concerns. Sanda Wellness changed its name to “Natural Wellness Products Ltd” which filed for insolvency and I understand that, ironically has been sold to the company “Your Lifestyle Products Ltd” and is presently operating in the field of marketing health supplements by means of telemarketing in the UK . The fact that the Directors or atleast one Director in the company Your Lifestyle Products Ltd is common to the company Natural Wellness Products Ltd and thus it cannot be ruled out that the so called dissolution and sale of the company Natural Wellness Products Ltd is a mere eyewash and a ploy of its founder Mr. Ajit Patel to evade prosecution.

These people have no qualms about ruthlessly scamming elderly and vulnerable people - often those with dementia - out of hundreds or thousands of pounds. Therefore i think it is only fair they should be exposed for the parasitic scum they are. Sandwellbeing are deliberately targeting the elderly and vulnerable. They announce themselves as calling from the "Health Centre". They chat away about general health issues, show friendly concern, until they find one to focus on and then pursue a large sale. They transfer calls between individuals which helps to build credibility and confuse the target. DO NOT use them. They are a truly insidious and invidious group.

The NHS in Nottingham issued warnings about Sanda in 2010:
    http://www.lpc-online.org.uk/nottinghamshire_lpc/?news_id=2592
Bogus call to Nottingham City patient instructing them to stop taking their prescription medication, Message received from GP practice in Clifton :-
A company from India under the name Sanda Wellbeing who apparently ‘phone the patient up and advise the patient to stop taking their medication. If patient's raise similar concerns practices / pharmacies should ask patients to report this to the local police.
The PCT should be informed if further incidents do occur.

In your home, on your phone, you are in control - hang up.

it appears that, owing to the inquiry launched by the Kent Trading Standards, Sanda changed its address last year and filed for liquidation. They have been successful in this ploy and are now operating as Your Lifestyle Products Ltd .

Sanda even had their own facebook page which has been abandoned after people had posted such gems as "The head of Sanda, Ajit Patel was on trial for years, when he was the Chairman of Goldshield, for trying to defraud the NHS by millions."

The director of Sanda Wellbeing Ltd (later known as Natural Wellness Products Ltd), Ajit Patel, also has a magazine called "Your Wellness" (print and digital: http://issuu.com/yourwellness ), published by Yourwellness Publishing Ltd and if you have a subscription for it they may have used the details you gave them to call you.

The Man Friday of Mr. Ajit Patel is an Indian National,  Vijay Bhagwandas Dalwani, who apart from being a Director in Sanda Wellness is currently a Director in the following Companies :

    Health Media Publishing Private Limited
    Oxeye Digital Solutions Private Limited
    Omatra Foundation
N Gage Marketing India Private Limited
Sanda Office Management Services Private Limited
    Sanda Sevaks Foundation

    Baywatch Goa
    Your Lifestyle Pvt Ltd
    Your Wellness Magazine

Vijay Bhagwandas Dalwani is also the Chairman of the Indian company DNY Hospitality Pvt. Ltd and his family members are Directors. These people have no qualms about ruthlessly scamming elderly and vulnerable people - often those with dementia.

As per his Web site he claims to be some DJ with albums connected to his name, wonder where the funds were wired from.

Meeting employees working with such scam companies has also revealed the amount of funds the Directors have diverted to their family and their accounts for personal gain is incredible.

Further inquiries into the affairs of Sanda has revealed that the company has also evaded millions in taxes, both in the UK and in India and as a matter of fact there is a Police Complaint filed against the Indian subsidiary Sanda Wellbeing Pvt Ltd for Tax evasion which is presently being investigated by the M.I.D.C. Police Station, Mumbai, India under complaint number: MECR 17/2014.

Astounding as it may sound, Mr. Ajit Patel and his cronies have now ventured in the field of developing Digital Applications for Smart Phones and have developed an App named               “n-gage messenger”, which brags to be a world's first 360 degree lifestyle Chat app. The Developer address also being ; Suite 010, The Beehive, Beehive Ring Road, Nr Gatwick Airport RH6 0PA .  Please note that Vijay Bhagwandas Dalwani is a Director in N Gage Marketing India Private Limited.

With a proven history of blatant violations of the TPS and Data Protection guidelines and also Tax laws in the UK and India, how safe your personal data will be is anybody’s guess.

Beware , check credential, it would be an disaster , scam companies to have easy access to your phone and data.BEWARE.

Do not believe any of the positive comments here. They are posted by people working for Sanda trying to reduce the incidence of negative feedback appearing on Google. I encourage all of you who have experienced this scam to write here and expose these unscrupulous fraudsters.
