I want thank all u guys for posting all these comments about Redwood Futures - I called them up today about their Metro ad (20/08/09) for 'Trainee Accountants Required'. The guy I spoke to was very impolite and unprofessional and was more interested in getting my personal details than answering my queries about the supposed "job". He told me I 'had' to attend an interview which was strange as I hadn't actually applied for anything as yet! - he gave an interview date and time which I said was suitable as I was at work then - to which, believe it or not, he told me that 'I had to take the day off!'. Amazing to think companies like these even exist in the UK! - Well, I'll be calling Redwood again tommorrow to tell them to go stick it where the sun don't shine!!

gosh i cant believe that!I just saw the advert in the paper and i called them!
but once i found out they were in croydon...i thot it was a bit dodge coz av got friends that went 4 job interviews for accountancy in croydon where they were asked to pay 4 training.
I THOT THEREZ NO NEED 4 EXPERIENCE COZ THEY TRAIN YOU.
SORRY BUT I IMAGINED TRAINING WD BE AT THEIR COST!
so nway av looked it up on e internet and thank God for this site!
i wont be wasting my time or money making that trip to Croydon!

Does anyone have any positive feedback from them, i.e. having gone through a course and been placed in a position? I mean as far as I can understand they only issue might be that they liquidate and take students money, but if they have managed to place a student then even if they are using out of date materials or expect an upfront fee, if they deliver result then possiblly they are a dodgy company but not necesserilly a scam?

any one have a postive word on them?

This Redwood futures company are big theives,they have landed me in to a bull [***]!!!!! I now have a CCJ because they finally took me to court because when i found out they are illegal, i cancelled all the post-dated cheques i gave to them! I am hooked now because i signed a contract.

They are all horrible, very dodgy, operating an illegal business in England. I know they would be caught someday. Even the judges in the croydon court connive with them! I wonder how they keep conning people, its all desparation.

I now will be paying 100 pounds a month to these theives for the next 8 months after the jugdes' ruling. I wonder why they have employees because the directors: Trevor, Bernadette, Dennis, Hayley (left now) Jon, Rachel they are all theives dodgy, criminal and illegal people,advertising weekly in metro newspaper targting immigrants that are in need of employment! Organising fake interviews with promises to get u jobs from the industry contacts when they have none! I leave u redwood futures to Allah!

i dont understand what you are all moaning about i knew it was training befor i went and they dont hide there address just call and ask for it if they had a bigger  advert with more info it would end up costing you more!

i did the ECDL and the CIW they gave me my meterials and i worked at home at my pace as they said ok so it is expensive and it did feel like a bit of a sales pitch but they did what they said they would the trained me!

now i did get my own job but they helped with my CV and even printed me some buisness cards

sorry but i think its just rude not to turn up its your descison but if your not planning on going then dont make an interview!!!!

how long did the CV process take you?

CV took a couple of day and i have no doubt they would have found me a job but i had a friend who got me a job first i was in employment less than a month after compleation.

Thanks Josh! Well I'm at the CV stage but has take weeks, all has been fine so far but would really like to start my web design career and getting impatient, your friend wouldn't have anymore job roles available ;)

I can't believe there are guys on this page leaving positive comments! Look into the company history, look into the cases of the students who have been deliberately wrong and see what's going on! How anyone can enter the working world with a qualification based on out-dated rubbish materials is beyond me.

I agree with all the negative comments about Redwood (no) Futures - don't touch then with a barge pole. Apart from the sub standard, but ultra expensive training that they provide and their con of a money back guarantee, their job search process is a lengthy and frustrating experience and you are unlikely EVER to get any of your money back. Also they will not find you a job because they have no contacts in the industry.

Don't toucfh this company witha barge polew and if you see any number that leads to Redwood Futures, do yourself a favour and bin it asap - you won't regret it.

wow, that was a close call,
I should have pay, but im gonna have a conversation just to find out what he says about this i found about the comapny,
1. under this name : REDWOOD FUTURES LIMITES- which I expressly asked from them turned out to be registered in a Completely different adress In Woking-->
2. on the page i link below if you search the postcode where these interviews are held (amp house 6th floor, croydon, CR0 2LX) THERE IS NO REDWOOD...NOTHING registered in that adress!!!!!The only linked adress to this company is from Advertising Standards Authority, but they only got it from the complaint made by someone regarding a "misleading" ad, which is not neccessarily true, but OK.
3. on the interview the gentleman first said that in all these hard times fortunately Web Desing goes well, only the commision paid by those companies who employ the newly trained designers keep the company alive!
a bit later after the cheesy slideshow, it all went to non-profit training for some time, and then suddenly but very gently lead to the actual £1960 fee of the course which is payable in the begin.
4. I`ve been looking for days but haven`t found any proof or not even the slighest sign of an authorised, licensed body who would take credit for this company.
5. On their web site, there is no comapny reg number no one in charge for the web page, just a link for email.

NO FOUNDERS OF THE COMPANY
NO CERTIFICATE OF BEING A QUALIFIED TRAINER
NO REGISTERED ADRESS FOR THIS COMPANY ON THIS ADRESS
(and so far) NO ONE HERE TO DENY ANY OF THE CLAIMS HERE THAT WERENT TRUE,
now if I am an honest well run business owner, it is MY business if someone, anyone is not satisfied with the service I provide---> if I want a name in the industry I fix it,
IF "I am" a fraudster who are completely satisfied with those robbed couple of idiots who give their money to them, then I keep pretending that this site does NOT exist and keep going.

(try to ruin the name of any big company on the net, they`ll drag you to court and make you pay a huge amount till the end of your life, my friends)

INTERESTING EXPERIENCE

I have read through the comments about Redwood, and have to say that I am shocked that the majority of people who have made comments have never actually experienced there training or anything to do with Redwood. I am a student with them, studying Web Desgin and have been for the last 13 months, up until now I have had no problems what so ever with them, the staff are really friendly and helpful and the training materials has helped me alot (considering I have no design experience whatsoever)

Everyone is entitlted to there own views, but my advice is that anyone reading this takes the comments with a pinch of salt and actually experiences redwood for themselves, like every other company, you never hear about the good things only the bad!!

I am looking forward to frininshing my course and finding a job, and I am glad that I never listened to negative comments.

hopefully they're not really scm, at least id like to think so since that i've spent soo much money on this.

I am not going to waste my time, debating about silly issues and people trying ot scare other people about there studies. If there is no company in the builidng called Redwood, then how come I am going in there to study? and the  registration number is normally on the bottom of letters they send have a look if your an actually student!!! you should have paperwork. To the comment called Sutton Anonoymous, make your own decisions, I have not had any problems, and am thankful that I Didn;t listen to the comments on here.

To "sutton anonymous" and "followers"... i have also enrolled on the accounts and bookeeping course like two weeks ago, and have just completed my ecdl tests ( i paid for these exams myself but was told i would have to at the interview). my next step is to take sage level 1 i believe, and i am going to get in contact with them today to hopefully start this section.

Through my ecdl i havent required any help really, however have contacted the office a few times and always been directed to the appropriate person(s) to deal with my quiery. Also "followers" are u currently studying on a course? if so which one?? also do you attend any classes there?? I have seen a few positive posts on this site, however the majority claim it is a scam, but i hope this isnt true. i feel the same as "sutton anonymous" and hope it is not a scam, and hope something will develop from the training im taking.

To Hov, I am studying Web Design, and haven't needed to go into study, the tutor has been really helpful. Like I have said in my previous messages, I am only talking from my own experience, but make your own mind up, don;t listen to other people, the majority of them haven't actually been in, if you read through them.
