unfortunatly we did not read this before with easyselluk!!!

we were called by them a couple of weeks ago and we need a quick sale for our car as we have a new addition to the family coming and our exsiting car is definatly not big enough. we have our new car but need a quick sale on the old one so my husband thought that going with easyselluk would be a good way as they promised us there were people waiting to see our car and that they would gaurantee full asking price for our car!

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE - DONT GIVE THEM A PENNY!! WE HAVE LOST £129.99

after many phone calls and stupid excuses and getting no where we have had no-one contact us no viewings and this has now been two weeks ago! we then put another advert in a autotrader and were contacted again by them selling us the same pitch as the first time and we are already registered with them!

we will be contacting local papers and as many places as we can to try and warn people about this!!!

Put an ad up on www.cbg.ie this morning, and got a call from one of these characters 1 hour later. All sounded great to start with - cheapest car for that model/year etc, guaranteed buyers available at asking price, quick sell guaranteed etc. And then the asking for £129 "registration" fee - I smelled a rat at that stage, and told him it sounded like he was operating a scam. He got upset, and hung up. Moral of the story is, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is...

    DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!! SCAM!!!

i put my car on with easyselluk. they told me they had a number of buyers for my car. the lad said he could sell it by the weekend. all i had to do is pay £129.99 upfront and if the car was sold by them or if it wasn't sold within 28 days id get my money back. it sounded like a good deal so i went for it.

ALL LIES. NOT 1 PHONE CALL AND NO MONEY BACK

i've put in a claim to the small claims court which cost £30 and if i win the case i'll get it back. this company is a con. im never making this mistake ever again,

i had a call from this crowd yesterday. they told me that they had people waiting 2 buy my car with the funds available. he said that they come to easyselluk for the finance. i had to pay £129.99 for them to sell my car. if they didnt sell it within 28 days i would get a full refund. lucky i didnt have my credit card on me and i checked the company out. otherwise i'd be £130 out of pocket and they would claim another victim.

I was approached by this company, saying they had 3 buyers waiting to view my car. I paid 129.99 as they couldnt view it unless i was registered. I heard nothing from the company or the buyers. I have spent months ringing them to be told they will call me back and sont or that the person i need to speak to is on the phone.

I have written two letters of complaint, both with the same standard response which didnt address my complaint.

I am stil yet to recieve a refund, they take your money then dont contact you again and promise buyers waiting and full asking price. DONT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY, if anyone has any ideas how to get my money back, this would be greatfully recieved

I advertised my car in Autotrader and was besiged by calls from companies who had buyers for my car. One of them, EasysellUk Ltd, informed me that they have 2 buyers who urgently want to purchase. All I had to do was pay £129 and I'd be contacted that day by the buyers and if the car is as described, it would be sold. I was sceptical but the salesman chris butler, insisted that I'd be contacted that day by 2 buyers and to trust him.
You can guess what happened, absolutly nothing! I tried to contact chris but his phone was always engaged.... I contacted my credit card compnay and was informed that as I had willingly given my credit card details and my car was displayed on their web site, there was nothing they could do. However they are very aware of this type of activity.
If you advertise a young, high value car in Autotrader you will be contacted by EasysellUk Ltd or any number of companies purporting to have immediate buyers for your car. They propably don't. They will display your car on their web site and maybe you'll get a sale but i very much doubt it!!!

This is the worst company i have ever come accross. i read reviews on this site AFTER paying them £130 - big mistake. they phoned me promising to sell my car withing 28 days or my money back. great i thought, no risk. wrong! after paying them i received the paperwork which said nothing about a refund. i tried phoning but no answer. so even if someone did want to buy my car - they wouldnt be able to get through to easyselluk to buy it! ridiculous! it has now been 28 days and i still cannot get through to them. i have contacted trading standards who are allready aware of easyselluk! they told me to send a letter giving them 10 days to refund the money or threaten legal action and get proof of postage, which i have done. no response. trading standards have admitted that the chances of getting my money back are slim to none. my advice - dont hand it over in the first place. they dont even try to sell your car, they just take your money and then dont answer the phone. if anyone has been sucessfull at getting there money back please let me know how

I lost out too! paid by visa over the phone and not a single buyer. My credit card company tell me they can not help on the basis of a verbal contract - yes I was gauranteed a buyer the same day- but via the Office of Fair trading, a very helpful Consumer Direct team have suggested I write, recorded delivery, to 'The MANAGER',at easyselluk's London address briefest letter with all relevant details, quoting the Misrepresentation Act of 1967. Give date of call, amount paid, what you were gauranteedd by way of service, what you have recieved by way of service (NO calls, no buyers!), the fact the call was unsolicited. REQUEST A FULL REFUND, your right under this act, and set a date by which they must reply, they recommend 10 days.

My daughter was phoned by a polite con man a couple of times from easyselluk about selling her car as she was going off to Australia and needed the money. I warned her not to give them £130 to sell it for her as I suspsected it was a con, and to my absolute horror I have discovered that she gave in after being told they had loads of buyers lined up looking for a car like hers. She has paid the £129.99 pounds on her visa card and has had no phone calls from buyers in the first week of their so called advertising. I knew it and I don\'t want to say I told you so to her, I hope they get done for ripping people out of their hard earned money they are despicable. Any one out there who hasn\'t done it yet don\'t touch them with a barge pole!!!

Hi All. I work in Corperate Finance and have come across many Industries. easyselluk is a company I have just come across ref selling my mothers car. Luckily for me, with the industry im in, it took me 10 Seconds of coversation, and 10 Mins of investigating, to have my eyes roled back, a small smile and a shake of the head. The best piece of advice I can offer is, 'Stick to what is known'. Some reputable companies may be a bit more expensive, but im sure you rather spend more than feel like a mug. Always trust your gut. The fact that you have been online to check them out should tell you enough. If something sounds too good, then it usually is. Thats not a pesamist, just a life in the finance industry. Thank the lord for the Web huh!

Remember when/if they call back and they try to rationalise their 'couple of complaints', do you, a conscious consumer, want to be investing into a company that is being investigated?

Well, I just got off the phone with andy of easyselluk

My first phone call was earlier yesterday. I must admit he was polite enough and asked me if the car was still for sale. After I said, "Yes.", he asked me if it was in good condition and when I again said. "Yes.". He asked me why we were selling it so cheap. I told him that the main reason was I was pregnant and wanted a bigger car. He then proceeded to tell me he had a number of buyers willing to purchase the car for £3500 and would I be interested if he sent someone round today. I told him I would have to contact my husband and find out what time he would be home. He said, well it wouldn't matter as he would give the buyer my number and they would be able to ring me directly and arrange a time convenient to me. He then said he would have to charge me a fee of £129.99. I told him I would take his number and call him back because I would need to speak with my husband. He said he was going on break and would call me back in 5 minutes. I told him to make it 10 as I wasn't sure if I would be able to reach my husband straight away.

Needless to say I rang my husband, but when I was speaking to him I told him I didn't like handing over £129.99, when there was no guarantee. He told me he agreed with me and left it in my hands.

andy rang back in 10 minutes as he promised and I told him that we had received some email scams and as a result we were extremely cautious. He suggested that he show me the companies' house website. When I told him I would take the details and look at it with mu husband later today and he could contact us tomorrow, he said that the buyer he had wanted to see the car today and we could lose them if we waited. I agreed to allow him to guide me to the site and he pointed out that they were a legitimate company. I asked him for his company's website and he said that the Companies House website was better as he could put anything up on his website if he was a scammer. I then told him I would speak to my husband tonight and he could call me tomorrow. He said he would call me back in 10 minutes as he really needed to register my car today and I need not worry because if I paid by VISA and it was a scam, VISA would reimburse me my money. I agreed for him to call back in 10 minutes.

Instead of calling my husband I did a google search on easyselluk and the first link was this website. I read this and then phoned my husband and told him what I had read. He told me to tell andy that we were not interested and the only way we would be is if they registered us, sent us the buyer and the buyer paid for the car, then we would pay the £129.99 i.e. after the sale. I then read the excerpt on this website relating to easyselluk. I couldn't believe the post from Infinity listing a person called andy. It was like reading what had just happened to me. I knew what I had to do. The phone rang exactly after 10 minutes, but I didn't answer. It then rang again, 5 minutes later, I didn't answer. It rang again, 5 minutes later. I answered this time. It was andy. He sounded so chirpy. I told him we were not interested as we had seen an excerpt on the Who calls me website. He told me it had been retracted. I told him I had also seen a post about a man called andy on "Blaggers.com". He said that he could find positive posts on that website with his name and I should not base my decision on what I had read. He kept trying to change my mind. I kept telling him we were not interested. In the end, I just said, "We are not interested and I wish you would stop trying to coerce me. If I am wrong I always know where to ring.". He then muttered something like he could not believe that I was allowing what I had read to influence me and then he cut me off.

I thought, I should post on here and warn others!!!!

Had a call from Andy Gray, Easyselluk, he said he has got a buyer who would like to buy our motorhome, that the customer came to them because they arrange finance on vehicles, they look for the vehicle on the buyers behalf, Andy Gray said "we will guarantee the full asking price, no offer will be made by their buyer as the finance is arranged to this figure" Being sceptical of this offer, he said he will call back in an hour, in the meantime I phoned Trading Standards, they advise I was wise not to part with any money, they could not confirm how many complaints they had received but stated they had been informed about this company. We also checked companies house Co.Reg No. 6444987, it showes the company is behind on submitting its accounts which were due on the 1/1/2009.
