- WilliamSame story here. Ireland based, ad on donedeal.ie. Salesman Dean very interested and positive about sale! Happy days I thought until he mentioned the £130 "registration fee". I am also in the finance business and advised him I could not give card details over the phone. he then went into the old "we have been in business 25 years etc" spiel which goes in one ear and straight back out the other with me. I asked him to call me back in one hour and he agreed grudgingly. Ten minutes later another call from the same number from a different guy, didnt catch his name, again with an English accent. Straight for the jugular with the "we have buyers waiting" line. I dint bite and advised him I had already spoken with Dean about this to which he replied "You couldnt have. Dean left two hours ago for a meeting" I curtly advised him to contact Dean and get their act together. For scammers they are pretty unprofessional. Dont go near these guys anyone! Thanks to the whocallsme team.

- DavidAdvertised a car on carzone three months ago and had to listen to Geroge Taylor for a half an hour explaining his business, i smelt a rat and declined. Over the past three months i have heard all about this hoax. Advertised a car today on carzone and got the same phonecall 10 minutes after i posted the ad. Had great pleasure telling him to [***] right off, felt good.

- tinathis company is actually really scary in the way that they pursue your business, in the last two weeks i have had around thirty phone calls, the thing that annoys me the most is that every time they phone it is a different person, offering different terms! first of all they even offered me a free weekend away for four, to where? baghdad? This company is so dodgy it's untrue! Im just really thankful that I am a cynic and I found this website before I was stitched up, im also going to complain to cbg.ie as i paid for their serivce for interested buyers not con men!!
- jamieI smelled a huge rat as soon as theses guys called me. I'm trying to sell a car, and they assured me that there were prople in my area who would pay me 400 euros OVER the asking price for the car - oh really? And they said that they GUARANTEED that the person they promised to send to see it would buy it. How on earth could they guarantee that without even seeing the car.
It was the persistance, to the point of aggression in the selling technique that really put me off. I have to admit that at one stage I was tempted. They said they would charge £129.99 for their services and that they GUARANTEED to sell my car within days.
I then said I'd think about it, and this guy said that I couldn't get back to them as I was just wasting their time - I said fair enough, just leave it - but he insisted in calling back five minutes later. By this time I'd had a chance to go on the internet and check out this site - and I'm really glad I did.
I've been stung in the past by a company called Iomart mis-selling web-hosting, and I'm glad that I didn't become a mug again.- Caller: easyselluk
- jamesthey almost got me to! i had a call from a guy saying he was calling from easyselluk. he told me he had five buyers looking for my car in my area and were willing to pay more than the asking price. he GAURANTEED to sell it by the weekend. then he said i had to pay 129.99 to go on there books and if the car didnt sell within 28 days i would get my money back. i thought it was to good to be true so i researched the company. then i found this site. when he phones up tomorrow i wont be going with them!! obviously a SCAM!! beware!!
- MatthewWas a bit suss when I got a call from UK based co with "1 or more buyers.." for my car in Ireland. Their number was prefixed with 353 (Irl code) and then 44 (UK code)-dodgy. I listened to Andy Gray give me the hard sell, and said no to his suggestion of paying £129.99 immediately over phone(or €140 approx). I said I'd be away for a few days, and I'd think about it - his response was "we will have to purchase another vehicle by then"..!! Thanks to this site I now know that my 1st instincts were correct -- These guys are rip-off merchants.

Q: How do we stop them?- Caller: Easy Sell Uk
- simonHaving chosen to sell my car I was contacted by easyselluk only days after advertising in car buyers guide. They claimed to have a several potential buyers interested in my car and wanted to know if I would accept an offer 400 euros over the asking price. I agreed as I wanted a quick sale and they informed me the buyer would come round that evening to view my car, to confirm it was simply in the condition the photograph depicted. They then said to cover their administrative costs I would be charged £129.99. To be honest, I was just grateful to have sold my car, but when no buyer came that evening I was beginning to feel quite the fool. I heard nothing from the company and was told they don't give refunds when I subsequently phoned.
I made a note of every aspect of the conversation I had with andy. The last thing I said to him was 'so as of now I can consider my car sold for 400 euros more than my asking price' and he replied with a 'yes'.
I feel this company's service was miss sold to me, and whilst I may have been naive to pay the £129.99 in good faith I wonder is there anything I can do to get my money back?- Caller: +442088881789
- LisaOMG!!! Just had a call from Chris Butler, claiming that the 55,000 mileage on my car was so low he couldn't believe I was selling it for such a low price!!! That seemed odd straight away!!! Then he told me that there would be viewings arranged all weekend and only for £129.99! When I told him I was selling it privatley to keep costs doen he even went away to speak to his 'Manager' and called me back to say they could sell it for £99.50!!! Yea I bet!!! Thanks god I googled this! He even told me I'd be calling him back thanking him in a week! By all these comments, I think not!!!!

- MatthewReceived 2nd call today, from sheilded number. Speil about being reputable company with credit card function from NatWest bank, who'll confirm they exist. ... Hello??!! Yes they obviously exist, as all those scammed by them can attest.
Maybe we can report them to NatWest?- Caller: EasySellUK.co.uk
- ****SCAM!! DONT TOUCH THESE GUYS!!!
i put my car with them over a month ago. they told me they had lots of buyers which wanted my car so i paid the £129.99. NO BUYERS!! they told me if they didnt sell it within 28 days i would get a full refund. RUBBISH!! all i got was a voucher for a free weekend break. THIS IS A CON TOO! you have to pay for your meals regardless wether you take them or not. the prices of the meals are ridiculous.
i have informed trading standard of the situation and they said they have had upteen complaints regarding easyselluk and are currently investigating them.
i have also contacted visa and they are trying to recover the money on my behalf.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU HANG UP THE PHONE WHEN THESE GUYS CALL YOU- Caller: easyselluk
- annethis crowd tried 2 get me today. had a call from them saying they had buyers looking for my car after advertising in the car buyers guide. they where waiting to travel up to 70 miles to buy my car. i had to pay a fee of 129.99 and i would get my money back when the car was sold or if the car wasnt sold in 28 days. i said i wanted to think about it. after reading these comments on this site i will be telling them to stick there offer.
thank you who calls me. you saved me £130 - adamI was approached by this company on numerous occasions to help with selling my car. Fortunately a friend told me to be careful when talking to such agencies so each time I told them no thank you. Eventually I got caught when my guard was down as I was in the middle of a meeting. The sales person told me that he had 4 local buyers all with approved finance through easyselluk therefore a sale was immanent. he said a lady wanted to view the car that night after 6 o'clock & would probably call me to varify my address, was this ok. I agreed & was told that if I paid £129 my details would go out immediately & the £129 would be fully refundable when the car was sold. I was not told that the £129 was purely to register with them. Anyway I had no phone calls & nobody called to see the car. I called easyselluk at 9 o'clock the next day & was told to call back after 10 o'clock that morning. Then I thought by 10 o'clock the payment would have been taken from my account. I called the bank but was told that debit card payments could not be stopped. So I got caught good & proper, I have now written to them asking for the telephone transcripts for proof of what I agreed to. I'm not holding my breath but I will keep in touch with Trading Standards to try to retrieve my money. Please, please, please say NO!!!!!!!!!
- reeceThis company called me last week and asked me to pay £129.99 to sell my car. I was very reluctant as i have never heard of them. wen i told the salesperson i dnt wanna give my card details on the phone n wud rather pay by cheque he insisted he wud refund the money back on the same card even if it doesnt sell i agreed to go with it and was told at the end that i cannot cancel the service. I sold my car the same evening to someone who saw the ad in the car buyers guide and the next day called easyselluk for a refund but i was told i will only be refunded if i sell my car thru them. i contacted my local trading standards and updated them on the situation they told me am entitled to actually cancel the service within 7 days of signin up wiv them as long as i dnt get confirmation by email or post. sadly enough they refused to acknowledge law, this and i still fighting 4 a refund.

- anonI cannot believe that at the age of 39, I was so easily taken in by this bunch of reprobates. "we have people waiting to buy your car, in the unlikely event that you don't sell it, we'll give you hotel vouchers - that's how confident we are that we'll sell it for you". Total nonsense! I tried to call them - couldn't get through. I tried e-mailing them - no response. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE VERY ECONOMICAL WITH THE TRUTH, PILFERERS AND DOWNRIGHT CON-ARTISTS. I even had another call after I had registered with them - asking me if I'd like to register with them!! Incompetent as well as immoral. They don't seem to be the only company in this game - I've had calls from other con-artists trying it on - luckily, I have learned from my experience with easyselluk and told them to take a running jump - so some comfort there then.

- TrishaI just got one about 10 minutes ago. Knew it was dodgy! so put the number into google and this site popped up! Mine is for sale on the MUNSTER BUY and SELL! Same as the rest of ye, he was "seriously surprised" my price was so low, really pushy guy, was nearlly shouting down the phone at me!! Played along for a while just to see how far he'd go!! (How much BULL someone can shout down the phone at you) I told him i was NOT interested about 15 times and eventually told him i'd ring the guards if he contacted me again! I'm just not the type of person that hangs up!

- siThis company is a classic stitch up - I had my car advertised in AutoTrader and a week later got a call from easyselluk, who made it sound like they were from a Vauxhall Dealer, by saying that they were calling from the Vauxhall Department. They then promised to sell my car for £500 over the asking price to one of 3 sellers they had lined up and asked whether I was available to conduct viewing that evening. They gave me repeated guarantees and said the subscription was refundable etc etc etc, and that I could call him back if I didn't receive my first call from a buyer within the hour. It cost £129.99, and I'm ashamed to say I fell for it. I heard nothing for the next 48 hours, so then emailed tham asking for a refund. They answered that if I did not receive a contact within 28 days, that they would refund half of the subscription. Literally 10 minutes later I received a call from a mobile that was almost laughable - a woman pretending to be interested in the car, it was so obviously a set-up I had to try hard not to be rude. I gave them their 28 days and then emailed again requesting my partial refund, and have heard nothing since - a completely dishonest company, and I hope this post prevents anyone else from being treated like this.
- lukeHad the pleasure of being ripped off by this company the other day. Normally have by guard up but the guy was good... Will give him that one. After parting with my £130.00 I checked the internet and low and behold lots of bad news. The ad was in place in seconds and the money was out my account in nano seconds. The ad is poor and incorrect , they promise buyers within days...,, I have as as much chance of selling my car via this company as winning the x factor. I did try and cancel the ad fifteen minutes later .. Oh Oh , they have a no cancel policy in their terms and conditions. Oh dear £130 out of pocket (happy days) ... As I lost my job back in jan I can no longer afford car. This company and many like them are simply vultures preying on those in difficult circumstances.

SCAM DONT USE!!!! - EMMAEASYSELLUK
*****DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY *******
*Their BIG selling points*
they promise that they have people waiting to ring about your car – still waiting for a single call like many others commenting on this site!!
*they use that they will advertise on 220 websites as a big selling point - these are newspaper sites in England, and when you query it later they say it is just a added bonus not what you are paying for!!! even though it is used as a selling point at the original call.
* you will get your money back - yes you will in the form of a Credit note not refund
* their deal about the weekend away - it says in the small print - you are obligated to pay the minimum daily amount for Breakfast and Dinner, even if not taken, for each person each night of your stay.
* they tell you that your car is worth more than you are selling and to ask more, just be careful it is not over priced.
when they call you they are very helpful and nice men, when you have signed up this all chages to cheeky and VERY unhelpful
they make it sound very good and worth it, but really you are just paying £129.99 to advertise in England on a site that most cars are slightly over priced.
save your money and go with the more well known companies that don't need to ring you for business. if they were that successful of a sales company they would not need to hound you for business.- Caller: easysell
