Reported this number to the ICO, but as I can't identify who it is from I'm not holding-out much hope of any action.  Received about a dozen silent calls from this bunch of losers in the last 3 days, and getting VERY hacked-off!

ive had  a succession of phone calls and Silent messages on my phone. over the last week.. the last being  just now.. although ive received  similair  regularly  over the  months. .

Remember, being registered with  the TPS can't stop calls from outside the UK. It can't stop automated calls either.

I am registered with TPS - and getting telephone calls from that 0021371000 number too.  Someone has posted that this is located near Mumbai in India.  I am registered with TPS, I have put a complaint in AND with Ofcom AND went on the ICO's website.  The ICO will not deal with calls from International numbers!!!  As you say "Usual story of Quango's costing us a fortune but unable or unwilling to perform any useful service to the general public"

I also would appreciate if anyone knows of a way of taking action against these callers.  Can you choose to block calls from your landline  - as you can with your mobile?

I've had a few calls over the past couple of days from this number.  I've checked with 1471 to get the number, just before this I got a few calls and when I did 1471 the number was '0'.  Like all the other people who have reported it there is no background noise then the caller hangs up.  I've tried to call the number and it comes up as not recognised.

twice for me 2 days running. not sure of time yesterday but 6:30pm today.

Got a call from this number on Monday afternoon - when I answered it he knew my name & asked who my electricity supplier was. I told him that I was registered with TPS & if they were trying to sell me something then they shouldn't even be callling me - he hung up. I went out Monday evening & when I returned the number had called me whilst I had been out. They called again on Tuesday afternoon when I was out. They called again today at 12 noon - I answered the call & again they asked who my electricity supplier was. I said I wouldn't give them any information until I knew who they were & again he hung up. Bit since then they have called me at 2.10pm, 5.23pm 7.05pm & 8.56pm & every time I answered these calls there is no-one there.

Haver received 1 sometimes two calls each day for last 6 days. - silent calls .

A nuisance which I can manage very well without.

Had countless calls from this number, each time silence on the other end and then they hang up.

Received a call from this number today at 13:32, claim to be Lifestyle Services or similar (the caller's command of the English language was more than suspect); when pressed said that they were calling from a call centre in the Philipines for 'brand research'.  Advised that they were calling a number registered with the TPS in the UK - they apparently didn't understand and/or don't care about that, hardly surprising since the TPS and Ofcom do nothing about overseas calls!  If, however they are carrying on their business on behalf of UK suppliers, and there doesn't seem any point otherwise, then perhaps those UK suppliers should be pursued.  Terminated the call after advising what response would be delivered for future calls from that number and demonstrating the response which could not be used in polite company.

Received call from "lifestyle research centre", on a phone I use for work, which is registered with TPS. The caller said it was a UK company, though she spoke with an Indian accent.
I hate companies and people like this who randomly call.
It is very intrusive.

Received a call fro them today at 6pm ish.
Asked for me by name but didn't identify themselves. Hung up.

getting a few calls from this number. Answer phone & no-one there! Annoying!!!

Had two calls from this one in last two days. First time number came up with three zeros at both ends. Does three zeros at the beginning of the number mean anything?

I have had several calls from this number. Told by BT that it is a 'cover' number and asked to have it blocked. I speak some  French and found the click is a lot quicker - perhaps they are just appalled at my accent. Reported to OFCOM.

This pests need to be outlawed or shot at dawn

this number rings constantly.when i pick up phone goes silent.they never leave a message.had 10 missed calls off this over weekend

I agree with you 100%. TPS need to be pursuing the companies which use the services of these overseas call centres. It's common sense......but then these "quango's" don't often have a lot of that.

When is this country going to stand up for it's self?????
