I just got a call. No message. Didn't answer and it's a brand new number (I've only been in Oz for two week from UK). Strange...

Second time I've got a call from this number. Says hallo world and hangs up

I don't know what the hall that's about

I just got a call they said helloworld and hung up

"Optus advises that the number you have dialled has been disconnected" when called back

I just got the same call. It was a recorded message that said 'hello world' and then it disconnected. Extremely weird!!

Got same message would it have something to do with Facebook as i accidently accepted a duplicate friend request and then blocked when i realised??

I have also received a call from +61 5252 5252 tonight at 20:15 and didn't answer as I don't recall knowing the number. They didn't leave a message either.

just got a call to MY mobile  ( must be FREE for them )  got a computer voice saying hello world then hang up, try to call back, * the number being discounted *

There a lot of sick people trying to get your money, because they know 1 out of 10 people fell for it..

people will never learn... Greed > common sense.

Keep on getting calls from this number up to 8.40pm at night.
When I call it back it says number disconnected.
Very annoying

Got a call from 02 52525252 didn't answer. When I ran it back it was engaged.

Also got a call from
02 5252 5252 but didn't answer. Called it and came back disconnected . Got the call at 8.29pm

Hello world is a common 'test' string for programmers and the likes..

It's POSSIBLE that they're 'testing' whether your phone number is in use, maybe for future telemarketing calls.

Just a guess. I have no background in this kind of thing.

Always remember, the do not call register (google it) can help prevent this kind of thing

Just called me too. No message left

Had phone on silent, saw missed call from this number, called and got number disconnected!  NUmber traces to Australia, NSW/ACT from around Canberra, Queanbeyan, Yass

Now I wonder if this is a scam where they call and leave a message, then we answer it here, thereby creating a link between the phone number called, and an IP (us posting on this web site!)  Now there's something to think about.

By the way, never use your real name otherwise they have three items to link, your name!

PS That was my mobile so good luck triangulating it with my IP, PS which is changing right now with a modem reset.  Yes I am geek, but with social skills!
