Were you on your mobile? I had the same pre recorded message than my whole phone shut down

Just got it also , been getting the same call almost every night with the same message, but this was from a different number, I received it on my mobile this time, no one should have my number other than people I have given it too, sick of getting these calls late a night, anyone know what we can do ?

Just got one too - Virtual voice saying - Hello World.

Probs a computer spammer checking that the number is valid.

Don't bother calling them back the number won't exist

Just got a call from this number (close to 10pm on a Saturday night). Rang out and they left no message. I also had a call from 0252525256 on Tuesday at about 9pm... Last night I also got a dubious SMS purporting to be my bank offering me a secure statement to my "banking inbox" and all I had to do was reply "yes".... Not sure at this stage if the bank one was a phishing expedition or not, but this one is starting to look very suss....

I too just got a call from this number, this person needs to be hung by the nads.

I live in australia & I just got a call from this number too saying 'hello world' in a pre recorded American womans voice. Rang back straight away and it said the number was disconnected :/ lots of people in the same night getting this hmmm!

Received call from this number. Women said Hello World and then hung up. Appears this also comes from numbers ending in 5256. Anyone know the reason?

Don't think so as 1st reports above are from 2011

I'm in Melbourne and I just got the same recorded message saying "hello world" at 10.30 on a Saturday night from 02 5252 5252. Any ideas what it is all about? Very odd!

Answered the phone, got the message 'Hello world' and then it hung up. I called it back and it says that the number is disconnected.

Me too, in Australia, 10.18pm. Oddly unnerving...

i got one @ 10.08 tonight - very worrying - can anyone shed light on this.

Got the same call at 10.15 pm, was really weird.

Wikipedia may offer some enlightenment to this having to do with computer programming, in it's most basic level, using this phrase.

looks like 0252525252 is also operating in the mornings as I received a call at 8.15am sunday morning

I am on the "do not call register" and I still got the call
