We just got the same

I just had missed call from this number Rang back straight away and it said the number was disconnected

I also had a call about an hour ago. It too was a recorded message saying 'hello world ' then disconnected

These calls have just started - when answered female voice says "Hello World" then hangs up

"Hello world" is also used by computer hackers as a proof of concept that arbitrary code can be executed through an exploit where the system designers did not intend code to be executed—for example, on Sony's PlayStation Portable. This is the first step in using homemade content ("home brew") on such a device.

My advice is block it ASAP

Received call from 02 5252 5252. Automated female voice said "Hello World", then hung up. I rang back for a friendly chinwag but apparently the number isn't actually connected.

It's also another way for one person/originator attempting to send a message globally, ie it originates from one phone, calls/msg's all the contacts on the recipients phone, and replicates from there.

Just watch the movie "Goodbye World" and all will be explained.

Been getting calls from this number for a couple of days. Have now blocked it.
