- JohnI got a call from this number today at 7pm didn't leave a message, they always try and call me but I wont answer and I will block this call if I can. Its so annoying should start charging them for my time.
- T-revHave been receiving calls from this number for a long time, will usually not answer numbers that I do not recognise, following the theory that if it is important they will leave a message.... of course they don't. Had another call from the number yesterday and thought 'what the heck"! answered the call, all I got was 'noisy' 'call center' background noise and then a male voice that said "hello" and then after a few seconds hung up. waste of time for whoever it was paying for the calls.
- GeoffCitibank Insurance telemarking, don't bother calling back - if you get the automated "we are connecting your call, please hold" - don't bother, just hang up, that is just plain rude, bad, naughty Citibank!
- Caller: Citibank
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DavidCalled from this number, claiming to be from BOQ.
Wanted to update my personal and credit card details.
Very suspect, could be scam.- Caller: BOQ?
- MarlsJust got a missed call from this number 02 8073 3390.
I've been avoiding another number 02 8094 4246 who I suspect is also a bank. They've called about 10 times in the last 2 weeks.
I've always been uncomfortable with how Citibank call you up and then ask to provide details. Luckily though, the few times I have answered, the calls have been legitimately Citibank...you never know though. - cocoI received a call from this number claiming to be Citibank & put them off until next week! I just called the number on Skype & there is a recording saying > we tried to call you on behalf of Citibank marketing it is not urgent & we will call you back.
So annoying & do not trust them!- Caller: who knows
- JeffIt was Citibank wanting to increase my credit limit.
I have a history of refusing their calls because I won't give out my personal information to answer their security questions. So this time they asked me "What is the month of your birth?" and "What is the first letter of your mother's maiden name?"- Caller: Citibank
- Call type: Telemarketer
- tom replies to Diana Gershwini know my BOQ credit card is actually through citibank... maybe a credit card is the connection..
- ChrisThe wife just got a 'blank call' on her mobile so I typed the number into the search bar. Good to find out this info before we part with details etc. Well done.
- Caller: ??
- ElliemcnI've had a few calls from this number in the last week or so. I haven't answered as I don't know the number. They don't leave a message. I guess we're never going to speak.
- ScottI have been receiving calls from this number every 48 hours or so for the past few weeks. I have had the number flagged after reading these comments, and haven't been answering. No messages are ever left. They're certainly persistent. Thanks for making info pages like this available.
- Andyquickly googled this number when they called...and was citibank....dodgy line....think they must have been using two cups and string...the time delay was like two seconds....said dont give out my details and she said she will just see out via mail instead....bl**dy telemarketers....
- Caller: Citibank
- RitaThis number as well as several other similar numbers had been calling me several times a month for over a year. They claim to work for Citibank and try to sell life insurance and verify details. I did everything I could to make it stop- politely declining, hanging up on them and avoiding their phonecalls. It finally all stopped when 3 weeks ago I simply said, 'Sorry, you must have the wrong number.' Haven't got a damn call since. Try it.
- Caller: Citibank
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MikeThey called me twice but they cannot hear me. So I hung up
- PeterThis number called me every day for weeks and always hung up before I could get my phone out of my pocket. I finally got to talk to somebody from this number and said I wasn't interested in answering any of their questions and wasn't interested in anything they were selling, and asked them not to call on my mobile number again. Two days later they were back to calling my mobile number. Talk about harassment...
- Caller: Citibank
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jancall from this number once again (12.52pm 19/09/2013) Unable to identfy caller - no one speaking/responding to myself having identified myself
- AnnaI get at least 3 calls a day from this number, usually all within 20 mins and around the same time each day. In the past, when I have answered, there is never anyone there. When we call the number, it says it's Citibank but we don't have any dealings with them. Wish I could somehow block them and stop them from calling. They always let the phone ring right through until they get cut off. I sometimes pick up and hang up immediately but they call right back. How can we stop them from harassing people like this? I've had enough.
- CraigI get regular calls from this number, always on my modile. I am a Citibank Customer and do all my banking withy them online. So, I have never answered the call as it is a number I don't recognize. I figure, if its important, they will leave a message, or call my land line, which is on my customer record. But they never do.
- LauraI got a call from this number at 9:54pm What the hell citi bank. I am moving to another bank that's a joke.
- Caller: Citibank
- Philip MerryGot a call from this number (02 8073 3390) this morning which went dead when I answered it. On calling back, recorded voice saying Citibank had called. I called Citibank and they said that they had checked with their security department and that the number is a hoax caller. Not so sure about believing that, more inclined to think that it is Citibank trying to sell life insurance or something. Either way, these calls are persistent (2 or 3 per week, then a gap, then starting again).
- Caller: Citibank?
