Yeah Im convinced it's CitiBank & they've tried to call me about 8 times in a couple weeks... I just don't bother answering & haven't got a message bank on my phone so bad luck... Just not interested in talking to them... Eventually they'll get the message & move on to the next potential victim...

Yesterday I got a call from this number - as soon as I answered, first thing I hear is an Asian female recorded message "please hold the line we have a call for this number" so I wait, after about 10 seconds I get the same voice saying "I'm sorry we are still trying to connect the call".... same again, and then I got an answer from Nicole (Asian voice) speaking very quickly....calling from BOQ credit card. She couldn't pronounce my name, needed to verify me even though it's a mobile number in my name only. She wanted to know whether I was interested in hearing about products. I told her I would not speak with an Asian who could hardly speak English, would only listen to an Australian, thought it was a scam, DON"T CALL AGAIN or I will give this number to the police.

Thanks for the tip...they call again, I'll just use my imagination and waste their time.

most european or african ppl can't pronounce asian names properly and yet if they go to their countries to do business they show you patience and tolerance. I agree that the calls are annoy since I got one as well. but your message is disgusting and offensive.

Like what I did. Block this number for good by sending them to voicemail.

Free of these calls from now. Citibank sold customer details to third party and totally irresponsible.

Citibank has breached privacy law by providing customer details to other company in the first place. When I open the account, I ticked NO MARKETING CALL. They still call.

I have had a call daily from this number... will not answer it but am now doing an experiment: How long will they persist?  ;) So far, it's 3 weeks

I received few missed calls from this number, just wonder who's the caller.

I can confirm this number is Citibank calling from an Asian call centre.

Someone is constantly calling me from this number and when I answer there is a silence at the other end

I got my 3rd call today from this number, after reading these comments, so was well prepared for it. It was citibank making sure I had a pin for my card as it will be unusable after the august 1st changes if I don't. They knew my name and address, and the only verification I was asked was my birth month. They also offered me an increased limit, which I accepted out of interest to see if this call is legit, was planning on closing the account soon anyway. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary to me. Will see if the increase happens!

Been getting calls from this number on and off for a couple of months.

If you have a citibank account, you should change your number tone this number.

It is Citi Bank. Selling insurance again. Everytime I have an inquiry or any commincation with them, these calls start. Please F/O.

Got a call from this number today from Citibank, seems legit, they knew my address, credit limit, how much was owing on my credit card, and what my last purchase on the card was. Only asked for the month of my birthday and the first letter of mum's maiden name. Not enough to really steal my ID. Tried selling a "balance transfer" by giving me a personal check to spend as I want.... thanks, no thanks, even with the low interest rate. Then tried getting me to increase my credit limit. Again, no thanks, but oddly the call cut off halfway through her sell.

They have called me daily for a week, I'm overseas too so getting charged international rates. It's been a bad line everytime and a woman with an accent saying hello, then nothing. I have hung up everyday

yeah I have received about 5 calls in 2 days with the line open but no one speaking. Finally a call came through today and from an Asian call center. The lady said she was calling me regarding my Citi bank credit card. When verifying my details, I gave incorrect month of birth but she still continued asking me further questions. At this point I said I cannot believe you are  from Citibank as I have been giving you false information and you haven't picked this up. I then hung up. I hope I don't get any more calls.
